This hole-in-the-wall was a pleasant surprise! Yafa Cuisine advertises their falafel, but it's their Chicken Tawook Plate that got me hooked. Pricing was reasonable and the portions were hugh. The quantity of grilled chicken cubes was equivalent to about 2 long skewers (about 12 pieces?). The photo I took was taken after eating 2/3 of the yummy meal...oops. I was hungry and couldn't stop munching! Included a variety of pickled vegetables (turnips, cucumber, and peppers), a side of hummus, and garlic sauce. Service was warm and friendly. Will definitely return when I'm in the area!

Food has always been fresh and delish. My husband and I have been enjoying dining at Yafa every time. I like the fact that they have gloves on for sanitation purposes, but I only wish that they would replace their gloves frequently especially after taking orders via phone or at the cash register. The same gloves are used afterwards to make our foods. I have noticed this each time I have dined here. So gross. And IE can get pretty hot during the summer. Please have the A/C on as a part of customer service. Having a small fan on does not do justice to keep the air cool for dining customers.

Parking is available by new India sweets & spices. Follow the walkway on the right hand side and you'll find the entrance. Limited indoor or patio seating. Delivery services available, tap to pay. Service was great! Food was good with substantial servings. Easy for sharing! Restrooms inside for customers. We sat towards the drink fridge area and didn't really care for the artificial spray smell it seemed like an automatic dispenser. It was a bit overpowering. I'd much rather recommend patio seating or sit closer to the front entrance. Loved the 80s music videos playing. Retro throwback!

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! Big portions, fresh food, and overall amazing service! I was so excited to try this place out after hearing about it. The chicken shawarma bowl and the falafel were absolutely delicious. The falafel was nice and hot and so flavorful. We went during the late afternoon and were served our food really quickly. There was ample indoor and outdoor seating and the ambiance was nice for an early dinner. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back!

AMAZING FRESH FALAFEL! Have heard great things about this place and it definitely exceeded expectations. Falafel was freshly made and had great flavor! I have always passed this place so today I decided to try it! I was greeted at the register and placed my order of the filet mignon plate swiftly. She was very nice and even informed me that my order would take 20 minutes. I had no problem with that and it affirmed the freshness/quality of the food. In the meantime, I got a drink and ordered a baklava as well. They brought me my plate about 20 minutes later and it looked delicious! The meat was so tender and easy to grab. My wrist is broken so I'm unable to use a knife to cut and I have some difficulty eating, so this was perfect! I'm not really a hummus fan, but theirs was so creamy and yummy. I ate it all! I took the baklava home and I ate it as part of dinner. It was different than any other baklava I've ever had, but in a great way! I'm happy I tried Yafa and will be back

I came here after visiting family nearby. It's located facing the street, sharing the building with an Indian grocery store. I got the double Arabic combo ($26.99) to try the chicken and beef shawarma. It comes with a box of hot French fries and sides of hummus and pickles. The portions were a good size and I had plenty of leftovers to bring home, the meat was tender and juicy. It was seasoned well and the wraps were cut into smaller pieces that were easier to eat. The lady was nice and the order came quickly.

Came back; it's been awhile and I feel like the Falafel Pita Tuesday special is even more stuffed than the last time I visited! I still say to this day their Falafel pita rivals a hearty hamburger. I stand by the statement and it's so healthy for you too!

Small restaurant with great food! Malak (cashier) was very friendly and fast at making my 9/10 falafel pita & 10/10 chicken wrap! Falafel was seasoned well and delicious. Authentic food, not busy during lunch, chill environment, and professional staff. Will be returning next time with friends!

The food here is always amazinghonestly the best Mediterranean spot around. But the service from the two women (one with hijab especially) working there is consistently disappointing. Most of the time they're chatting with each other instead of paying attention to customers, and they only seem to work properly when the owner is present. The food is great, but the service really needs improvement..

The service was nice and quick, the ladies behind the counter were friendly and attentive but the food we ordered had too much garlic which overpowered the real taste of the meals. If only you had garlic-free options or "less garlicky" version of the menu, the number of customers might increase (they can actually eat and still go to a meeting or to classroom!) I know several friends and family members who are somewhat OK with minimal garlic (but prefer no-garlic options) so it is always a concern for them when we decide to eat out. Perhaps serve it on the side (garlic paste?) In any case, it is good to have options and actually be able taste the smoked eggplant or creamy tahini instead of covering them all with a strong garlic taste. Garlic is a tricky ingredient to use. read more

I dropped by for a quick lunch and got the chicken bowl with salad. You have the option to get it with rice or half of each. I also got a side of falafel. Everything was so delicious. They actually fry the falafel fresh in front of you and it was so flavorful! The chicken shawarma was moist and tender. This is way better than Halal guys down the street. First off, warid I think the business owner is a very nice human. He welcomes people in a friendly way and explains everything patiently. I got the lamb beef gyro. The meat quality is super good. The white yogurt sauce is very well made and thick. The ingredients and veggies are spot on and the bread is super fresh and fluffy. The fries are not oily and tasty. I was helped by malak as well as who i presume the owner to be and I have to say that not only is the food extremely delicious but the environment itself is beyond pleasing. you are greeted politely and cordially by all the workers and apart from the positive attitude the food is always consistent and DELICIOUS truly a hidden gym in this part of town. the only problem is how far they are from my hometown I only have the opportunity of visiting Yafa cuisine whenever I'm in riverside for work but this little spot never fails to satisfy. great option for anyone wanting to try something new or anyone who enjoys quality food. read more

Amazing. The staff is always very friendly to us. It's a small place but we always take it to go so that's never an issue. The food is amazing, very flavorful, great portions. I would suggest to order ahead as they do take a while to cook everything but that's fine because everything is made fresh. Always a great spot. Love the gyros and the bowls. Best falafel place in town, these taste like the ones you eat in the Middle East which is rare in Southern California. The falafel wrap will fill you up. This is one of the rare places that you will find diet 7up, for real! The people here are Generous and nice. Although the inside is not wide, however they have abundant places to sit and eat outside. We decided to come for a quick bite while we were doing a job in the neighborhood. We saw this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. When you walk in, it definitely feels like a mom and pop spot--we were greeted warmly by a woman and a younger lady, presumably her daughter. The menu was a little confusing at first but the lady behind the counter broke it down for us. We ended up getting one chicken and one beef plate since each plate came with two skewers and a side of 6 falafel. Each plate came with two pita bread, pickled veggies, hummus, and the meats on top of basmati rice. This was served with a side of tahini and garlic sauce. Thoughts on the food: - Chicken was well seasoned, but very slightly undercooked as we got to the middle of the skewer. We felt the texture change and the transparency difference from the rest of the chicken. - One of the two beef skewers was still a little raw inside indicated by redness. - Falafel was Restaurant Depot brand most likely. They were dry and they came out room temperature when we got them. - I wish the pita was warmed up when they served it to us - I think they meant to play music but they accidentally started playing ambient fireplace noises while we ate which was hilarious. They realized 10-15 minutes in and changed it to music. - The hummus was great and had chickpeas - The basmati rice was topped with I believe crushed almonds? Which was a really nice touch. - The pickled vegetables were great and broke up the richness of the meats. Tl;dr We kind of were sketched out by the undercooked meats, and the room temperature falafels. But I think it may have been a one off situation. Everything else was good and I want to support a small business. Might have to try this place again next time. read more

I was in search of something to eat for lunch on the way home from work and happened to come across this place. It's a cozy, little establishment with ample parking. The woman at the register was very helpful and kind. I ordered the chicken & beef kufta plate. It came with rice, hummus, pickled veggies, two pieces of pita bread and sauce on the side. The food was made to order and was well work the wait! Both the chicken and beef were cooked to perfection and very flavorful. The pickled veggies were a nice touch to bring the flavors together. This has easily become one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants! read more

SO GOOD!!! I got the beef shawarma plate, everything on the plate was delicious. The service was nice and the man working was so kind. The portions are huge, I could only finish half, but I'm excited to finish the other half for dinner haha. The beef is soooo tender. Palestinian owned restaurant named Yafa that gifts you with olive oil from Ramallah and plays Arabic music. There is a patio with plenty of seating, few bar seats inside along with couple small tables. It's well known within my family that my uncle makes the best falafel, but then we had Yafa's. My uncle tried my leftovers two day later and was speechless. He went home that night and tried copying the recipe but couldn't figure it out. They offer bowls, and sandwiches with either tortilla or pita. The shawarma had good flavor but is cut too thick. The hummus and baba ghanoush are good, the warak dawali is not homemade, but Yafa might just have the best falafel. read more

The stars of the show may have been the potato salad and the pasta salad. All and all everything tasted fresh and delicious. My 4-year-old picky eater requested we go back the next day and that's how I knew it was top notch. As if this place couldn't get any better, we had impeccable service from the husband and wife owners each day. My son overheard someone talking about this place in one of his classes and how good it was. He knew we had to try it. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma plate with salad and their homemade Baba ghanoush. Delicious. He had the Chicken Shawarma wrap with fries. He loved it. The homemade Toum and Baba ghanoush was amazing too. We topped it off with their homemade baklava and a cheese pastry desert that I forgot the name of. So good.
