My friend and I stopped at Yager Lodge after an evening of champagne and good eats across the street. My friend suggested we check them out and of course, I'm down for a good drink. We walk in an we are immediately amazing at how beautiful the inside of the building is and to know this building is historic and well maintained is pure perfection. We were greeted my a male bartender who got us waters and then we were ultimately served by the female bartender who helped us. We wanted her to make us custom bring and we asked her to surprise us. The only question she asked is what our preferred alcohol of choice was. I went with Tequila and my friend Gin. I have no clue what she made either on of us, but baby when I tell you my cocktail was fantastic! This bartender didn't come to play, she is the absolute truth. My drink had a little kick to it which was good with a smoky taste with a hint of fruit flavor. It's like nothing I had before, but I would ask for it again. I'm glad I took a photo lol. I'd been wanting to try this place since hearing about it from 1 of my friends and it was fire. My friend and I went and enjoyed our custom cocktails created by the female bartender on staff last night; mine had strawberry, bergamot, gin and I think sparkling wine and the flavors worked well together. My friend had a tequila drink and she liked hers as well. The decor is aesthetically pleasing- it's like being in a cabin and I like the back lighting as well, everything comes together to make for a cozy setting. They offer food too so I'd like to return to try out some apps in addition to some signature drinks next time. The other bartender who served us was great as well; congrats to him for being recently promoted to bartender! I'm looking forward to taking more friends here and exploring more drinks. I came here to try the Girl Dinner. It includes a martini, caesar salad, truffle fries, and pesto fettuccine alfredo-- all for $29. Now that's a deal! It all comes in fizzio/coupe glasses on a tower. I also ordered an extra drink (Pink Cloud) and dessert (Lemon Crumb Cake). Everything was so good! The presentation was beautiful. The cake was moist and flavorful. The drinks weren't too strong. The service was a little slow, but the staff were friendly and attentive. Whoever designed this restaurant did a wonderful job. It's very unique and makes me feel like I'm in a cabin. The lighting is dim and sets the mood for a romantic date. There are a few areas to lounge and a spot to take pictures. They have seating available inside and outside. Bathrooms are stocked and clean. The antler chandeliers are gorgeous. But the real star of the show? The bar. The blue and neon lighting, the wood and rock beans, and the huge elk mounted in the center... So awesome! I'm definitely coming back to try other things on their main menu. We loved this place! Ambience, service and food was fantastic. We come in and were greeted by the friendly staff who are really so warm. The place is so well decorated for Christmas. The overall decor and the rich blue color is so wonderful! Staff is very mindful that we have a little one with us and brings a kiddy cup without even asking for it. Our server, Megan, was so friendly. We order drinks & the bone marrow to start. I get the steak and frites, my wife gets the lamb and my kid gets the cheeseburger. I seen this place advertised on instagram thought I'd try it out for a date night. You walk in through the back of the building but instantly taken back to a mountain lodge. The decor was on point! Parking is not the best. Finding a spot can be difficult. Started off with some fabulous cocktails I got a dirty martini and my husband got a stabin cabin which wow the presentation! The filet mignon cooked to perfection and the shrimp and grits had a chipotle tomato sauce- yum! Food service was a touch slow but they had only been open a week. Our server was attentive and sweet. Due to great Yelp reviews we decided to visit for our NY Eve dinner. We made reservations and upon checking in we were guided to our booth in the back dining room. I had no idea there was a dining room of good size back there. I remember this place from previous Escape bar and I guess this space was used for their escape games? Love the fresh taste of ceviche with shrimp. They had great oysters with a mignotte sauce. As well the blackened seared ahi tuna was fresh. Loved how it was served in a toolbox box. . Lamb leg on a plate with mash potato which was creamy and yummy. Loved how the plate look like a Christmas dinner. Loved the fresh broccolini and pomegranate sauce too. . Great seafood pasta with pesto. The pasta is home made. The sauce is creamy. Loved the generous portion. For the seafood. . Also loved the great environment which looks like a ski lodge like your up in the mountains having dinner at a friend's place. I was so excited to try this place tonight! The location is perfect! The downstairs dining area definitely needs some heating and cooling regulation- we walked into a sauna. We had a reservation on a Friday night and arrived 10 minutes early, but were told to come back closer to our reservation time and that we weren't allowed to wait at the bar or grab a drink since it was reservation-only. After being seated 15 min after our reservation, service was very slow. Getting drinks was difficult, appetizers were just okay, and the wait for our entrées and additional drinks was long enough that we decided to ask for the check early. We came in around 4:15pm on Saturday and told the host we just wanted to grab a drink. We were immediately told there was a 15-minute wait just to sit at the bar because only one bartender was working. We decided to wait since it's a new establishment -- and I should note, the place was not busy at all. About 10 minutes later, our drink order was taken outside, and we were eventually seated at a table near the bar. Then... nothing. Twenty minutes passed, still no drinks. When we checked in, the waitress said the bartender was just finishing them up. Another ten minutes later, still nothing. The bartender, no offense, was moving at a glacial pace -- it genuinely looked like his first day on the job with no sense of urgency. When we checked in with another staff member, we were told our drinks hadn't even been started. At that point, we decided to leave. Overall, the staff seemed completely indifferent that we were walking out. Disappointing experience all around. read more

Coming back was rough. Service was very disorganized and everyone had different rules. It was awkward, we had to ask for menus. Reserved seating only now, delay in receiving menus, and overall was not a welcoming experience. Hostess was nowhere to be found so bartender decided to look up reservations. It was a drag to sit down in a spot with a reserved seating 3 hours later. Really disappointed. We were also told that it's now appetizers only in the bar area, unless the waiter or waitress "feels" like serving the menu. This place unfortunately tries too hard to be "upper class". I think if people were relaxed, welcoming, and just acted like normal people this place would be thriving with customers like other places on Sutter Street. As one of the first customers, we were told this would be a family welcoming establishment. This is not the feeling anymore and clearly has changed. read more

The bar and the bartenders are an absolute 10 out of 10. It's my go to bar to bring friends and family. The restaurant unfortunately in the back is a completely different story. I brought my family and girlfriend for a nice dinner. We were there for more than 3 hours waiting for our food. It seemed like we had to literally grab the server for more drinks and everything seemed really disorganized. Our total tab was almost $500. For that kind of money at least competent serving and food wait times should be expected. We will not be back and I'm really sad that such a great bar in the front is done such a disservice by the restaurant. read more

I thought the food was great.My only issue is that if 'I'm spending a hundred and fifty dollars on one of your steake you're gonna charge me an extra three percent credit card fee? The entrees aren't cheap and neither are the drinks.I'd rather they be classy . Just my two cents. Came here on a Friday night to discover a new gem in Folsom. They did an amazing job reviving this old escape room into a cozy yet fancy log cabin vibe. You have outdoor patio seating, bar/above bar seating and private booth restaurant seating. It's a really sizable place. My favorite drink was the Filthy Martini, but they have a great old fashioned and espresso martini as well. It's a great date night vibe and Ryan was super helpful at recommending different drinks, his favorite apps and entrees. The bone marrow appetizer was to die for along with the burratta salad and shrimp and grits. We'll definitely be back for seconds so we can try the tomahawk! read more

This place is bad. SO bad. Came here last Saturday with a girlfriend with 6pm reservations. To clarify, it was not busy while we were there. Our server Jackie was nice but that couldn't save our horrible experience. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks. Jackie kept reassuring they were coming, but were they actually? The laughable part was the $19 Christmas martini was the smallest cocktail I've ever seen, especially for the price. Jackie disappears for quite a while and then finally get her attention to be able to order our food. Side of fries took 30 minutes. Two salads, neither with protein, took an HOUR. An hour for two salads is absolutely insane! It somehow gets worse though. Jackie comes over to check our food and grabs my martini glass from the table. It was NOT empty. For the $19 price tag I was sipping slowly and trying to savor it, until she took my drink that was still 1/3 full. I was so stunned and couldn't get her attention to stop her before she was gone with it. At this point I was pissed. Two and a half hours for a cocktail, side of fries and salad and then my drink is taken before I was finished. We asked Jackie for our tab at this point. She delivers the bill and for the experience I would've expected some sort of small "apology discount" or comped side of fries for the extremely long wait for drinks/food, just something. But nope! The bartenders are very friendly and make excellent drinks and they have two of my favorites servers from Eldo Chophouse. The decor makes me feel as if I'm in Jackson Hole and not Folsom and even the menus are beautiful. We have followed Chef Will for years. When he told us about this place we were excited to try it. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The menu was not what I expected.
