    The Special!!

Had an early dinner there today and server Kristina was the absolute best!! My husband got the seafood linguini and it was perfect (he's a tough nut when it comes to pasta)! I got the California Tuna special and OMG. Phenomenal!! Thank you Scott's Seafood and especially to Kristina!

Met a friend here after work for dinner and a drink. We didn't have a reservation, but there was a great booth spot open in the bar area so we didn't have to wait. My friend is vegan and Scott's has a vegan menu! The vegan poke bowl is made with beets. I had the spicy crab bisque. The food and drinks were delicious and our server was attentive, and let us continue to visit even after the restaurant closed...she told us not to rush. It was lovely!!

Came in on a Saturday after walking around the farmers market wanted a place to sit down have a nice drink and some lunch. We all set up at the bar started off with bloody Mary's that were made excellent! We got the calamari for an appetizer and half dozen oysters with all the fixins. As well as the Boston clam chowder so creamy and Hamachi Crudo -Wow explosion of flavors! The two gals that were helping us at the bar were fun and sweet!

My husband made reservations for this restaurant on our anniversary and I'm glad he did. There were people trying to get a table and were told the wait would be long. Definitely get reservations even if it's a weekday dinner meal. Our server was one of the nicest servers I've ever had and was very good about checking in with us and giving recommendations. The ambiance is a mix between casual and semi casual as they have nicer tables and booths to sit in but their bar is right in the middle of their restaurant. For dinner we had the honey walnut prawns to start which I enjoyed. The sauce was not too sweet and the prawns were very big. The only take back is that the breading was way too thick on each of the prawns that I had to remove partially. We also got a house salad which was nice and refreshing and their dressing was not too heavy For mains I had the macadamia crusted halibut which I liked. The fish might be bland to some folks but I actually like it more on the bland side and paired it with the sauce or mango chutney for flavor. The macadamia nuts could've be n crushed a bit smaller for better texture or roasted to add a nice touch. The macadamia nuts were just sprinkled on top and didn't feel as connected to the dish. Asparagus was grilled perfectly. My husband got the scallops with pesto pasta and he really liked his dish. It only comes with four scallops but the pasta will fill you up. But I could definitely see someone still being hungry after that dish. For dessert, we got the seasonal pistachio gelato and the portion was huge! It was very delicious and a great way to end the meal.

I always enjoy my visits to Scott Seafood. We enjoyed lunch here on the long weekend. The food was so tasty. Their salmon is always amazing. I'm not super into seafood in general, but they also have a Crab Bisque that I will go back for anytime. they have a really fantastic cocktail menu too. It is definitely a fancier place, but you can go without feeling like you are not fancy enough. The Honey Walnut Shrimp is fantastic. The bartender is super cool .

I normally order the food at Scott's to have at my favorite wine spot upstairs but today we decided to dine at Scott's in the patio to catch the sunset. Brent was our server and he is a sweet man who is over worked and tried to stay on top of everything. The food was a bit disappointmenting this time. How do you run out of black cod by 7 when that is your main item offer on the daily special menu? The Rockefeller oysters were seasoned well however one of the oysters were not fresh you can smell it. The tuna ahi was overdressed in sauce and paired with noodles that were overdone and extremely salty to eat. The fish n chips was sent back because it was undercooked and the fish was still translucent inside. No fault to our server but definitely needed a quality check in the kitchen. Also my martini came out warm, I had no desire to order a second drink. This was definitely not the best experience I had at this Scott's. And they close earlier now too. Bring good company and you will have a good time here even when the food is subpar. Have some great wine upstairs at Willamette before you start dinner is what I would recommend.

I came here for a birthday and was very delighted that they have a vegan menu! I had the udon noodle stir fry and was so savory and delish! Big portion too. The service was wonderful. Great place for drinks, happy hour, dinner, and date night!

Located on Sutter street, Scott's Seafood house is a great place to celebrate any occasion. It's usually always packed so make sure to make reservations beforehand. The bread and butter they serve as you wait for your order is delicious. The bread has a chewy and crunchy outer layer but really soft inside. The raw oysters were sweet and fresh and their own hot sauce is really delicious! I ordered the pan seared scallop pasta. The scallops were a good size, quickly seared so it's not over cooked and laid on top of pasta with pesto sauce: while it was good, I think it would even be better with a different sauce that is more fresh tasting with a little tang - just my personal preference. I had a glass of Rosè which was also pretty good. We went on a Friday night so the place was a little loud with all the chatter but the ambiance is still pretty nice .

Recently visited with a party, and was accomodated quickly after entering the restaurant. We enjoyed that there is a winery up top so part of our party went wine tasting prior to dinner. Once seated, our server came quickly and took our orders. She even gave us recommendations that we ended up choosing. We ordered the fish and chips, macadamia crusted fish, and cioppino. This amount of food could be shared, for a party of 6 we had plenty of leftovers. We enjoyed our time and definitely will be back.

I know it seems I'm addicted to Scott's happy hour, well, maybe so, we came early to get a seat, a little before 3pm, bar totally full, over full. We thought come early get a seat, barely! Who's carrying the load, that's correct, it's the amazing Kendra, super woman. She's busy flying around the bar, taking orders, cranking out the drinks and food. Next thing we know, she's serving up another Kendra over the top special, give it a try " Gin Margarita with Gran Marnier on the side. Are you kidding me, that's a super delicious cocktail served with the best smile in the industry! Not kidding! My kid now frequently visits our bar! Please don't take our seats, come late. Or ? The ambiance was lovely and the food was very good, but this review is entirely about our server, Stephani -- because she was extraordinary. From the moment we were seated, she delivered a level of service that is incredibly rare in the restaurant industry. Stephani was warm, professional, and impressively knowledgeable about every food and beverage option. She explained the menu with clarity and confidence, offering thoughtful recommendations that made choosing effortless. What truly set her apart was her ability to anticipate our needs before we even voiced them. It felt like she was always one step ahead, but never intrusive -- a balance that only the most skilled hospitality professionals can achieve. She didn't just "take care of our table"; she curated a full dining experience. My guest and I were able to relax, reconnect, and enjoy a wonderful reunion because Stephani handled everything with such care and precision. I've dined all over the world -- including top restaurants in Beverly Hills and New York -- and Stephani provided service that exceeds many of those fine-dining establishments. That is not an exaggeration. She is a star, and an asset to your team. Corporate management: please recognize her. Talent like this elevates your brand and keeps guests returning. Stephani embodies what exceptional hospitality should feel like, and she turned our lunch into a standout memory. Bravo to her.

Ask the Community - Scott's Seafood Roundhouse

Is there a dress code? No smart comments either. It's a realistic question.

Little more than casual up to dressy for a special occasion. I wouldn't say shorts, t shirts, flip flops or anything

Where is there parking, or is there valet parking?

There is abundant parking nearby, and two lots a couple blocks away. I don't think they offer valet. However, we were able to park very close

Do they have an early bird menu ? nadine

Not one that I noticed on the menu nor any signage in the restaurant.

Do they accept Discover credit card?

    No they don't

Is there a happy hour at this location?

    Yes.... They do! Cheers!

What are the regulation as to wearing masks and socialdistancing in Scott’s Folsom?

Sorry I havent been back. I just heard it may have reopened.

Does the folsom location have happy hour?

We are not offering Happy Hour at this time. Thank you Tim Hughes GM

Do they have gift cards at Costco?

    Yes all sorts of them.

Is the fish wild caught or is it farmed? Does the menu indicate wild caught?

Currently the only farmed fish we have is our King Salmon, the only frozen fish is the halibut. All other fish are wild and tonight's special is a Wild Pacific Hawaiian Ono,

We walk in an we are immediately amazing at how beautiful the inside of the building is and to know this building is historic and well maintained is pure perfection. We were greeted my a male bartender who got us waters and then we were ultimately served by the female bartender who helped us. We wanted her to make us custom bring and we asked her to surprise us. The only question she asked is what our preferred alcohol of choice was. I went with Tequila and my friend Gin. I have no clue what she made either on of us, but baby when I tell you my cocktail was fantastic! This bartender didn't come to play, she is the absolute truth. My drink had a little kick to it which was good with a smoky taste with a hint of fruit flavor. It's like nothing I had before, but I would ask for it again. I'm glad I took a photo lol. The service was great both bartenders were so cool, welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend checking them out!

My friend had a tequila drink and she liked hers as well. (This worked out GREAT by the way). I ordered the Fish and Chips. It was brought out to me pretty quickly. The fries were done just the way I like them with just a touch of crisp. The 3 pieces of fish were nice sized and had a kind of breading on them. They weren't so oily and greasy like typical Fish N Chips. The serving size was just right for a lunch and I had no leftovers. I had not been in here since it became Crawdads. Last time I was here it was Cliff House and while it was OK, it's so much better since the renovation. We came by for a family lunch today right at opening after youngest promotion day. I'm sure it was strategically planned as he wanted to hit up Barnes and Nobles after for some books ;) I got myself a smart book worm kid I tell yah...must be my side of the family hahaha. Anyways, back to the review...we were the first diners to arrive. My oldest son is always down for Poke! Nolan ordered a large and it was 5 scoops of protein for $25.95 (fairly small scoops imo), with a base of his choice and he chose mix rice and mixed greens. I asked him what his thoughts were and he said it was nothing special and that it was kinda pricey for what he got. He also said he was confused when he was trying to pick the fish from the buffet space as it didn't match the signs in front of them so he had to order from the menu and watch the guys put it in his bowl. Not sure if they just weren't ready for us as we were the first diners of the day. My youngest ordered the Taco trio which consists of 1 Ahi Poke Taco, 1 Salmon Poke Taco and 1 Cooked Salmon Taco for $19.99. The entree came out looking pretty appetizing but we were disappointed that the taco shells were all stale. Not crunchy in anyway. My son ate most of the filling and left the shells. We ordered the SALMON CARPACCIO which was described as 7 pieces thinly sliced fresh salmon, microgreens, sesame seeds, japanese seven spice, yuzu ponzu for 18.50 to share. When this came out, my son was so surprised that it was so tiny as it was not enough to share so my little man had it all to himself. I couldn't decide what to order. I debated on the fish and chips but was told they didn't have batter so it was a no go special today. The said the poke nacho's was popular but I wasn't craving poke personally. So my partner and I ended up ordering (2) servings of Garlic Shrimp. When I asked how many shrimps came with the servings, the guy behind the counter didn't know. It came out with 7 shrimps and a tiny bit of garlic over a ton of rice. Flavor was good, I wanted more sauce and garlic to go with the rice we were given. This place doesn't skimp on rice in their bowls. All in all, portions to prices were a bit off for us. The guys behind the counters were nice. Place was clean.

Shoutout to Folsom, CA. Kabayan!…read more This is a super worthy shout out. Kabayan is Filipino casual counter service eatery serving up some darn tasty food. I'm not well versed in Filipino cuisine, but I got working tastebuds and I like what I like. I meandered into the eatery on a recent weekend mid-afternoon. The tables were filled with happy folks enjoying their meals with a line of folks waiting for an open table; that's always a good indicator. I decided to order to go. The owner was cashiering. She was super helpful and engaging. Big smile. I ordered the two item combo $13.99 that comes with rice and pancit. The pancit was classic with all the familiar flavors. Ginisang Pusit. Squid. Soooo good! I never had this dish before. The squid was super tender, not mushy nor rubbery. Perfect tenderness... how did they do that?!? It had a sweetness and slight spiciness. Spiciness without the heat, but packing a bunch of flavor. I'm still thinking about that dish. Pork Kare Kare. It was served with a side of fermented shrimp paste. Not a lot of restaurants provide that shrimp paste, so I was stoked even if it was a smallish portion. The paste was a perfect compliment of saltiness to the creamy peanut butter sauce. Yup, PB gravy sauce. They also sell imported Filipino packaged snacks and pantry items. Plus they sell halo halo. I saw folks with gorgeously delicious looking halo halo. Colorful layers of shaved ice, ice cream, and toppings. The eatery is not particular large, so when it's a full house, it gets crowded cozy.

There's plenty of parking spots as it's in the same plaza as Raleys. It's a smaller shop that poses as a restaurant on one side and a small market filled with Filipino snacks on the other. There's not much for ambience, but it's clean and cozy. The owner served me, and she was super warm and friendly and very welcoming. I had questions about the food and their menu and she was very patient going through all of them. She introduced me to pitchi pitchi which is a sweet and salty cassava dessert that reminds me of mochi. The cheese threw me off a little, but I read that sometimes it's served with coconut flakes. I ordered two halo halo desserts, two combos, the cassava dessert, upgraded the rice to garlic rice, two orders of lumpia, and picked up a couple of calamansi drinks and garlic peanuts as a snick snack. Total bill plus tip was over $100. The menu changes every day, which I think is interesting. And every Sunday they serve lechon for $18 a pound. Check out their Facebook page for updates in case I got this information wrong. For the food, I had half pancit and half rice. I had adobo chicken, butter chicken, and two pork dishes that I don't remember the name. I like that the pork had a good combo of fat and lean meats. I wish I could've eaten it there but we had lunch and then decided to stop here. I felt like the food being warmed up after sitting in the fridge for a bit, It kind of made all of the entrées taste similar to each other. Next time I will vary my order, like I'll get a saucey dish, a sour soup, and a bbq skewer. All in all the food tasted very homey and delicious. It's heavily seasoned. I can see myself ordering lumpia and pancit to a party. Can't wait to go back and try their lechon and pork belly.

The 5 course dinner (4 plus a palate cleanser) was excellent and a tremendous amount of food was served. Most people took home food for later. I was rather surprised as how large the portions were. And, it was all well prepared and very good. The entire room of diners were all quite impressed. Now, on to the show.... After our meals were completed, and dishes cleared, our magician host came out and the show began. Experiencing a magician performing up close is something to behold. He was excellent with his talents, and had everyone in stitches with the comedy. This is an audience participation event which is fantastic. Most everyone played a part in one or more of his feats of illusion and mind bending abilities. My partner and I woke up the next morning still attempting to figure out how he was able to do them. I highly recommend getting online and consider an evening here. And dress to impress. This is a fine dining experience.

I wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea at first, but since it was his birthday, we made his wish come true! Ordering tickets on the website was easy and straightforward. The dining room is intimate, with one large communal table and two high-top tables for couples. We arrived about five minutes before doors opened. I was honestly surprised by how cool the decor was. It's a little cheesy, but it totally works. The lighting, ambiance, and overall vibe pull you in and make it fun. You can't help but enjoy it. Our two hosts were personable and professional. They served all the dishes and explained the rules for the evening. Once everyone finished eating, the magic show began. The food was super delicious and I was not expecting to like it as much as I did. The prime rib is absolutely the way to go. It was soooo good, and the sides were cooked and seasoned perfectly. They also offer chicken and pasta. I saw a few people order those, and they didn't look as appealing, but the prime rib definitely delivered. The cheesecake for dessert was amazing and perfect ending to the meal ! It's definitely on the pricier side, but the food and overall experience made it worth it. The magic show itself was a little "meh" ....not super mind-blowing, but the magician was kind and entertaining. He and the hosts made a special effort to wish my husband a happy birthday and even included him in part of the show, which made the night extra special. We loved the evening. I'm already planning to come back in October for their Halloween-themed dinner show!

This was our first time eating at the restaurant. It being New Year's Eve, it was extremely busy…read more Even so, the service was outstanding. Our waitress Jessica is a rock star! She patiently explained the menu and answered all of our questions. We ordered across the menu: a ribeye, a filet, the salmon, and one of the daily specials, scallops. We also ordered the Brie and bacon jam appetizer and one of our party had a Caesar Salad. There were a couple of substitutions: extra spinach instead of mashed potatoes with the salmon and fingerling potatoes instead of the mashed potatoes with the ribeye. I ordered the Brussels sprouts as well. Everything was delicious and prepared exactly as ordered. The proteins were substantial, well worth the price. We tried two desserts, the crème brûlée and the banana cheesecake. They matched the quality of the entrees. Everyone remarked on how great the sourdough bread that was brought to the table was. As the ladies in our party said, you could make a meal out of the bread along with some cheese and wine. We were seated in one of the side rooms, which didn't seem to hinder the service at all. Our water glasses were promptly refilled. It was a great experience.

man, sutter street steakhouse has always been a bucket list spot for me.. but unpopular opinion…read morehere, it wasn't anything truly groundbreaking for me *womp womp*. FOOD we started with the chilled prawn cocktail. the prawns were fantastic, and the cocktail sauce was divine. we jumped into a cup of lobster bisque; which was something i was looking forward to. unfortunately, the soup tasted like a very bland tomato fish soup. ugh. it lacked flavor and i don't think there was hardly any lobster in it. major bummer! we go the surf and turf (with lobster), the rib eye, and mushrooms and brussels to accompany the steaks. TONS of food, which was nice (especially for the price)! both steaks were ordered medium rare; the filet was cooked as ordered and the rib eye was on the medium/medium well side. however, the major bummer with the rib eye was the menu states well marbled but the steak gas VERY fatty when you're paying $62 for a USDA prime, "well-marbled" (per the menu's description) steak, the last thing i'd expect is to describe the steak as more fatty then marbled. the sides were great; the garlic mashed potatoes with the soy wasabi sauce were incredible! SERVICE our server started out very attentive and progressively we saw him less and less throughout the night; waiting for the check, needing water refills, etc. i get that everyone has busy tables and the F&B industry is having a tough time, but dang. at a place like this, i'd expect top notch service throughout the dining experience! AMBIANCE it's very nice inside. super cool bar when you first walk in. lots of spacious seating so you're not sitting on top of one another and modern decor. after having worked in F&B, i totally understand the industry; some nights people call out, larger parties consume the kitchen, etc. but for the price, nothing really seemed to blow us out of the water :( hopefully it was just a bad night that we went. it has a great reputation for a reason! hoping the next visit is a better experience!

We went here with a group last night and had the best experience. The quality and preparation of the food was beyond excellent. The service was absolutely perfect and there was literally no wait time for anything...appetizers, drinks, food .. everything was delivered right away. The ambience is great here, we love the old time, romantic feel. This is so rare in these times. Seems like we can't find anywhere really good to eat anymore. Either the food is good and the service is bad or, the service is bad the food is good. We give Rudy's a 10 out of 10!

My only complaint on this Sunday, June 21st, is that after the initial basket of bread (which had exactly four pieces for the 4 of us) we were told by Reece that the restaurant charges $2.00 for each extra piece of bread! I was shocked, and frankly, it's an insult in my opinion, that Rudy's is so "cheap" about the bread! For all we pay for our dinners, asking for extra bread should not be a problem nor an extra charge! That really is a shame because now I am hesitant to consider bringing friends to Rudy's. I hope management will reconsider its' position on the service of bread.
