Ask any questions about their menu and they'll offer you all their options. My family loves the Chicken Teriyaki with Veggies and the Beef Ribs Plate. We always ask to substitute the fruit & salad for more steamed veggies. Great service, good value, and some tasty food. We were looking for something a little lighter for dinner when Yaho popped up in our search results. Located in the back of a Home Depot parking lot, we had probably driven by this place for years without ever knowing it was in our neck of the woods. Chicken bowls were what we ordered and they didn't disappoint. They give a great amount of protein and pack in the rice. Add in some of their teriyaki sauce or something else of you liking and you'll have yourself a hearty meal, or at least enough for leftovers the next day if you're trying to maintain portion control. The lady working there was super friendly and helpful. I chose to wait outside while our order was being prepared and she was nice enough to walk it out to me which was a nice surprise. Parking can be a little chaotic, but it's a big shopping center if you don't mind walking a few feet to get to the eatery. Totally worth it and we'll keep coming back in the future! read more

I have already eaten here twice, and the food has been consistently delicious. Much better than anything I have tried. I have been coming here for 8 years and I don't intend to stop coming any time soon. I used to take classes at Cypress College back in 2011, and I used to come here almost every week. I have moved since then, and this is still one of my regular places whenever I am in the area. Why do I still come here? The chicken is undeniably fresh each time. I came here to grab some food to bring home. I couldn't decided what I wanted so I went for the combo with shrimp, steak, and korean ribs. It came with a side or rice, cabbage, and broccoli. The cashier also threw in a generous amount of delicious terriyiki sauce. Everything was good. I liked how everything had been marinated and cooked perfectly. I think my combo meal was $8-9. Most of the plates are around that price. The cashier girl was very nice. She told me before placing my order that the food would take 10 minutes and if that was okay; oppose to making me wait. I pretty much agree with everything Fia R wrote in her review so just go read hers. Although I suppose I should say a thing or two about my own experience. The place was hoppin' on a weekday at lunchtime, mostly with students from Cypress College (the food here is inexpensive). The staff is pleasant and the interior is dull but adequate. You don't expect a teriyaki place to be fancy. I ordered the pork plate. The teriyaki sauce containers provided at the counter were plentiful and I gave my pork & rice several squirts. The rice was really good. The pork was okay although I got a few pieces that were fatty/chewy...had to decide whether to swallow it or spit it out (I always chose the latter). The salad had no dressing and to say it was not a taste treat is an understatement. My pork had some spicy seasoning that gave it some zing. The soda machine only had 4 of 7 flavors working. I know because I had 3 wrong choices before I got one that worked. If I was a college student I might come here now and then but it's not the best teriyaki I've ever had. read more

It looks like it's family owned but they run such a good business. The cashier was super friendly and very accommodating. New favorite place! Such a generous LARGE serving for the low price. The food is such GREAT quality and the meat had literally NO fat at all, so lean and tender. The teriyaki sauce is the best. o_O?! Seriously, I'm super shocked that I'm the 1st reviewer for Yaho Grill. And well...the stars say it all. But I guess I gotta elaborate, & what I'm confused was whether this place is new or not, since it's located across Cypress College, & is in the same plaza as Echizen, Nickel Nickel, & (hoo-hoo-hoo) Frostbites. Regardless, I checked out this L&L (sans macaroni salad)/Flame Broiler-ISH place famished (& a bit of a hurry b/c I went to a summer class after) on a late Thursday afternoon, & I figured in my head, "Hmm; it seems cheap, so why not." And yea; cheap is the correct word, from the moment I entered a totally nondescript, yellow-walled atmosphere devoid of any pictures, except for what foods YG is serving... At first I felt nonchalant after the amiable young counter lady wrote in my food--a Small Galbi ($6.25) w/ rice & veggies. It was quite admirable to see a good myriad of bottled condiments, like teriyaki sauce & spicy mayo; plastic utensils; and all necessities to prep for what ever a customer orders. However, I suspected that both the minced scallions & jalapenos had been "sitting" in their containers for a while--yet I got a mini cup of the former, just in case. I finally got my Small Galbi in a takeout Styrofoam container--almost 10 minutes later as the solo guest, just before others arrived. Oh yea, my dish looked pretty alright, but uhh, looks don't matter! Despite my class I took time to taste my dinner, & deep down the sauce in the galbi struggled to entice my taste buds, & the meat--after all those 10 min--was too chewy that it was quite difficult to cut w/ a plastic knife. And to make matters oh-so better the dressing-less "salad" was like eating Air Crisps--it's ONLY useful for texture for my below average beef. That's why I have no clue if this place is new or not, b/c it was surely not a stand-out to me. Flame Broiler may have less selection than Yaho Grill, but it's the same price & is much tastier for such a standard yet growing eatery; therefore I cannot consider YG a "Deliciously Cheap Eat." And speaking of that, Cypress College folks, penny-pinchers, & people who are desperately hungry like I was--you have been warned. read more
