The owners are absolutely wonderful people who clearly care about their customers and community. Not a great experience at this place. It was empty upon walking in. As I ordered the woman at the register could not understand what I was saying or asking it was my first time here. I've been to three different Legend Hot Chicken restaurants and unfortunately the experience is pretty different at each one. Bell Gardens bar none was probably the worst but this one is definitely second. I literally stood in the empty restaurant for 5 minutes waiting for a cashier to appear and take my order which never happened. There was a cook in the bag who saw me walk in and we made eye contact and we could see through a little window that looks into the kitchen from the front counter. He didn't bother to greet me at all or acknowledge me being there with the exception of looking at me and was on his phone the entire 5 minutes that I stood there. I was really looking forward to a meal from here because I really like the franchise , however I was forced to go to a different restaurant on Carson Street which was 13 minutes away from this one. The salad was chicken, four pickles, a sprinkle of shredded cheese, and dry lettuce. For a salad, I would expect some tomatoes, onions, and other ingredients but I got none of that.
