And I didn't have an issues with a "store bought pita". It was flavorful, everything felt fresh, and it was a perfect amount of food for what I needed. My husband and I love Mediterranean food and this was an unexpected wonder in our neighborhood! We got the Saj wraps, the zaatar and the lamb and the saj bread was unlike a normal pita you would typically get-so good! We added chicken to the zaatar wrap which was excellent. Everything inside the (huge) wraps were fresh and they were incredibly flavorful. Next time we'll try the add ons! Highly recommended. Best food I've had in Seattle, period. I got the lamb wrap and fried eggplant wrap, along with the Muhammara dip. Everything was fresh, so flavorful, and so delicious. It all looked wonderful and tasty. I asked the gentleman making the wraps for some advice and went with the zataar wrap and lebneh. It was super tasty and fresh. Hubby ordered the spicey wrap with chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it. They make the bread right in front of you through the window. The baba ghanoush was delicious in a wrap - nice and smoky. The texture of the pita/saj was perfect. Also tried the Zaatar with lebneh and chicken, total flavor bomb. I live in the area and have been sad ever since Kedai closed their takeout window, but this feels like a worthy successor. I dare say it's better than wraps from Mamnoon, which I love as well! This was also my second time and it seemed like they beefed up the wraps a bit more, so I'm not as upset about the prices. If you want cheap middle eastern food go to Halal Guys (not a knock on them), but Yalla's food could easily be served in a sit down joint. read more

I've walked by this place a many times and meant to stop and try it. I just say my biggest regret is not doing so that first time, as I've been back multiple times now. That first saj wrap was one of the best meals I've had in a very long time, and each once since gets better and better. The saj bread, in general, is by far the best I've ever had. Don't pay attention to all the white folx complaining on here who've probably never real Levantine food before (like serious LOL at the one who said this Arab-owned business was culturally appropriating hummus). The fillings for the wraps are fresh and seasoned to perfection. Everything was homemade. There was nothing store bought about them. You honestly get a really decent amount of food for the price. Brilliant taste and flavor of food! Particularly loved the 'zattar'. The staff was super friendly and took time to explain me the dishes. My food was prepared fresh and it delivered a beautiful punch of bursting flavors that went hand in hand with each other. I've been following Yalla on Instagram for awhile and loved the idea of an authentic Levantine saj/sandwich spot in Seattle. But they broke the cardinal rule- the sandwich was wrapped so loose and halfway through my ground lamb meat sandwich, it got so soggy and broke apart in so many spots, there was no way to salvage it. I've never had that happen to me and it actually seems like a travesty in some ways. I was sad. Not sure why nobody here has mentioned this, but Yalla's falafel is gluten free and it's incredible! I wish I knew sooner as I assumed I couldn't eat anything here for the last year that I lived just up the street. We loved our visit to Yalla! We had a ground beef, ground lamb, chicken/eggplant. Sorry I can't spell their actual names. All three served on freshly made Saj, which if you're from South Asia is chapati/roti. I couldn't finish mine on my own, the size is about a foot and a half! Very fresh ingredients. Everything I've had here is phenomenal. There is real care and soul that goes into this food--you can tell. Everything is homemade, everything is richly flavored. The Saj is amazing, the muhummara is like nothing I've tasted before so I can't even compare it to anything else but I highly highly recommend trying it. The cheese and seasonings in the Jibneh were also amazing, and it's a great portion. I also tried the rice pudding and it far exceeded my expectations--it was drizzled with rose water and pistachio and omg it was so good. This place is unlike any of the middle eastern cuisine options that I've had in Seattle. Not only in the Lebanese options but in the quality and taste! One thing I do wish is that the lebneh and muhummara came with a little more Saj. It's a lot of dip with not quite enough Saj. That said, I strongly recommend ordering extra Saj with these items. I arrived in Seattle Monday and explored the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Yalla's dips caught my eye and the scent of spices was too good to pass up on my walk back to my place. I was greeted with a sample of different types of hummus and fried flat bread. The dips are packed with flavor but somehow balanced. I walked to Volunteer Park and the bread/dip combination was perfect during the cooling evening weather. Will definitely be stocking up before I head back home! read more

I had been to their pop-up restaurant at Atlantic several years ago but did not make the connection that it was run by the same folks until I went by last night and I was so excited. The food was fantastic!! We had a couple wraps and a bean side that was on special. While it's certainly more pricey than a quick burger at your local drive through, I think you really get what you pay for, a meal where everything is made from scratch with love and attention to detail.
