While we waited for the grill to get going, we snacked on the banchan. The pickled dishes and spring greens were especially refreshing and did a great job balancing out all the rich flavors to come. The highlight was definitely the meat. Everything was grilled perfectly and came out incredibly juicy, tender, and flavorful. What I loved most was how many different ways there were to enjoy each bite. You can dip the pork into the garlic oil sauce, add a little wasabi, pair it with the melted grilled cheese, wrap it with myeong yi, sprinkle on some salt, or simply enjoy the quality of the meat on its own. Every combination brought out a different flavor profile, so the meal never got repetitive. The soups were comforting and packed with flavor, making them a great complement to the barbecue. Overall, this was a really satisfying KBBQ experience. The quality of the pork stood out, the variety of accompaniments made every bite interesting, and the meal felt thoughtfully put together from start to finish. The restaurant was lively!

The pork collar and belly are wet aged for a couple days, and the texture and flavors of the sides and meats combined make a great bite every bite. The skirt meat isn't bad, I'm not the biggest fan of the ribeye, and the brisket is pretty standard, on the better end though. I would recommend the kimchi and pork stew over the soybean for sure. My perfect bite was some meat with salad, pineapple, cheese, a pickled veggie and a touch of salt and wasabi, wrapped in kelp. Definitely recommend even if pork isn't your go to meat!

The ajummas are really nice here and made sure we had everything we needed to dine in. The restaurant got more crowded and busy as we got closer to 6-7pm for dinner rush. Bossam - 5/5, really nice texture and thick cuts! Lots of umami and savory flavors. The pork belly was tender and they had all the sides for the wrap including the lightly picked Napa cabbage, garlic, jalapeños, kimchi radish, fermented shrimp, and ssamjang. Also more veggies including carrots and cucumber.

I barely had to touch them before the meat was basically falling off the bone. The broth had a deep, comforting flavor without being overly salty (which is a blessing to enjoy the flavor). We also ordered the pork cutlet on the side, and honestly, the portion was massive for like a quick lunch. Crispy, filling, and definitely enough to take leftovers home! The banchan was simple but solid too, especially the big slices of cucumber and daikon, along with pieces of pancake on the side. The atmosphere is very down-to-earth with Korean signage and an artsy wall, no fancy décor or over-the-top presentation. Service is straightforward and efficient. You're not here to be pampered. You're here for hot, delicious comfort food done right.

I went in around 2PM so it was not crowded. The friendly clerk at the counter recommended the Rose Tteokbokki, as their most popular dish. I customized it with spice level 1 (which has a nice kick), soft rice cake, add ramen noodles. I chose the combo for a few dollars more, which included tempura - 2 seaweed rolls, 2 dumplings, 2 shrimp, and a Coke. This rose sauce is sweet and hot in perfect balance Dish included sausages, an egg, veggies, as well as the excellent rice cake. Can't wait to come back and try more flavors. Enjoy!

When I received my food 45 minutes later, it was the complete wrong order. I received a rose tteokbokki with ssal tteok. I mentioned this to the kind lady behind the counter and she remade my food. However, when I got the freshly made dish, it was still the wrong order. She remade the dish with garaetteok but it was still rose, and not the grandma style. As it was approaching a whole hour since ordering, I just accepted the food, even though I tried to explain to her that what I received was the wrong order. She told me that what I got was the grandma tteokbokki, which the dish was not since it was creamy and had sausage and bacon. I would have asked for another remake, but she had posted a sign that said the restaurant closes at 1:30pm, and it was shortly after that time. I was hoping to have a good time here since the reviews are great, but this experience makes me apprehensive to give the place a try again.

I've been once…read morebefore, but I'm still very much in the "watch the people next to me and copy their homework" phase of the experience. The meal starts with what feels like an endless lineup of little side dishes, a fried fish, rice in a scorching hot stone bowl, and then the bubbling tofu soup (medium spice for me) arrives like it's angry at the table. I ordered the bulgogi combo (C2) and everything was flavorful, comforting, and honestly just fun to eat. OK maybe a few too many onions for me. The stone pot rice situation was an adventure on its own. They ask you if you want them to pour hot water into the bowl to loosen the crispy rice stuck to the sides. I tried it. Felt very authentic. Still not fully convinced my rookie self handled it correctly, but we survived. What I liked most was the atmosphere and adventure. You can tell this place has a loyal following and there's a reason Yelp absolutely loves it. It feels authentic without being intimidating, and the portions are no joke. I took home enough leftovers for round two the next day. If you've only done Korean BBQ before, this is a completely different experience and definitely worth trying. Bring friends, come hungry, and don't be afraid to look a little confused your first time. Apparently that's part of the experience. Easy 5 stars for me. P. S. Quick shout out to the wait staff they are super attentive, smiling, and helpful. Maybe they could sense my menu awkwardness

Their tofu soup is always so flavorful and high quality. Their kimchi is also some of the best that I've tried as banchan! The service is straightforward and quick. They have a waitlist at the front that speeds things up during busy lunch and dinner rushes. The place is super home-y and cozy. I like how there is a ton of seating as I've never waited too long for a table. Can't wait to go back!
