This place normally has really good chicken tenders. It's usually takes a min when you go thru the drive thru. It's Friday Mar. 28th 2020 and today is the first time that I sat for 35 mins and got some soggy greasy nasty tenders. I don't know if the cook is just doing everything opposite of what he was taught. Or if the what is going on but I've been there countless times and always received great food. I'm still giving them 4 stars for all the past great tenders. But today you get Zero stars 35 mins and I got disgusting meals the fries were under cooked and smelled like they were cooked in 5 day old grease. Same with the chicken wAy too much of whatever you batter them in and causing the wings to not cook all the way ..the worst meal I've paid for in a long time. It got tossed in the garbage outside because it stunk up my house. I should have know when I smelled that awful smell coming from the restaurant. If the owner reads this you are needed at your restaurant before those clowns ruin your reputation. And that doesn't take long in this small town. It's fried chicken. The set up is weird but it's alright. Wings aren't even close to being as good as Buffalo Reef but they were satisfactory to my wing loving 4 year old. The tenders were much better. I like them better than Zaxby's. Sure, they're a bit salty but it's not a health food restaurant. Mac and cheese was dry and no one wanted to eat it. I fucking love yard birds. The staff is friendly and the food is hot , delicious and made to order. Great selection of sauces to go with your meal. The menu is limited but that's exactly what I like about it. This place knows what they do and they do it well. So ill be honest. I waited in line for a bit to place an order at the walk up window because I saw a line of people. When I get up to the window I'm told.... you have to wait in the drive threw. O said o um I thought this was open. And they replied no sorry these are just people that we know..... so im thinking ok, well thats a tad unfair. Im on my motorcycle and its a bit hard to go through the drive-thru and they reply "yea sorry your going to have to wait in line in the drive-thru.... so I get on my motorcycle and wait with the line of cars. 0800 pm hits and 2 cars pull away and drive off... so i think wow ok there sending people home again. I turn around and tell the 4 other people waiting in line there sending people home like they have the past couple of nights which I know they do... so they lost more customers. I go to publix to buy some food for my self. As im riding by I still see them serving at 830pm..... so now I'm confused..... whats going on? So when can I get food? When do you actually close? Are you still sending people home? Will you send people home that are waiting in line? Just trying to get some yard birds here. And I appologize I can't tell my chain of command i want to get off early so I can get yard birds haha. read more

For about $8 you get a very big portion, I normally can't finish it all. Ya get 4 very crispy chicken tenders(kinda small though) and a dipping sauce, a ton of crinkle cut fries, a side (the beans and slaw are actually very good), and some 'texas toast'. That's all I've tried here so far. Woulda gave it a 3.5 kuz I think the chicken is a little overdone and the price could be slightly cheaper due to the fact I don't always want fries or toast and would prefer more chicken instead. In town on work travel and every time I pass this place during the lunch rush the drive thru line is always long. Since I took a late lunch today I decided to try it.
