We were there for 2 nights after the 2-night run that Phish played at Fenway Park. Let me just say, this place is perfect for pre/post show drinks and/or food. It's spacious. For Boston prices seemed reasonable, particularly when consider this ain't no dive-it's got a good vibe. It has entrances on two-sides which helped because the neighborhood was jam packed with hippies and finance bros all pooring out of Fenway after the shows when we went. At first I was concerned this was another pretentious ultra-lounge that charges $20 for a beer and with poor service but at least when I went, it wasn't that at all. The bartenders aren't snooty d-bags-just real good at keeping you in libations/food. Oh yeah, the music they were playing was a lot of 80's and early 90's and our side of the bar which was mostly made up of people in their 40's love it! Pretty sure we closed it both nights...although I can def confirm that for Sat night :D Would 100% return. Nachos, Pizza, Cheese Curds (which I don't normally love), and Sliders were all bangin' according to our group! The stakes were HIGH! The United States vs. Belgium brought everyone out in Boston to watch the spectacle and cheer for the U.S. The crowds didn't stop us from finding seats at the bar. We had carne asada tacos with beans/rice. The tacos are small and there are three. My husband is an average eater and was still hungry. He rated them a 4/5. I'm a much smaller eater and ordered the grilled chicken with avocado sandwich. It had delicious cherry peppers on it. I thought it was good but the texture of the chicken was a bit weird and it was dry which is why I'd rate it a 3/5. I opted for a house salad instead of fries and it was fresh and good. My husband had the bread pudding and I tasted a bite. We agreed that it wasn't good. It tasted like flavorless soggy bread. That was the only part of the meal that was a huge let down. This restaurant is large and nicely laid out and decorated. Last time I had yard house it was years ago and all the way in California, but it was always my favorite as a kid and now I remember why. They do every dish with such refinement and culinary expertise that no matter what you order, you know it'll be good quality. With that in mind, the price is also super reasonable making this a great casual dinner option when you're looking for something a little more upscale while not being overly fancy-- coming here you know you'll still get some nice simple comfort food done well. In addition, the service was so sweet and personable. They were attentive without being overbearing and joyful without pushing it or feeling fake. Dropped by on an away game day to watch the Sox and try their happy hour specials. The half off apps and pizzas were a very good deal. We got the Margherita pizza and poke nachos which was definitely enough between two people. The pizza was surprisingly good for a bar. The pork nachos were so good and had a lot of tuna. Came here on a whim on a Tuesday night, to be honest, expected it to be more crowded. Ordered the chicken lettuce wraps to start, which were decent, though not the best I've had. The tofu or sauce added a mild mushroom flavor, and the wonton cup was difficult to break and was kind of bland. However it was surprisingly super filling! Next I had the grilled chicken avocado burger without Swiss, and the chicken was very juicy (or greasy? Couldn't tell) but had the tiniest bit of avocado ever. My friend got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, said he did not enjoy. The chicken was thick but overly fried and way too greasy- the bottom bun was soaked through. 1st time reviewer, long time reader. Came in after visiting the Franklin Zoo with 3 hungry kids in tow and 3 adults in need of a beer on a Friday during the start of their dinner rush. We were not rushed, but taken care of in a timely manner. Questions were answered professionally and honestly (love honest servers). Our food was hot and on point. My wife and son and I dined at Yard House recently and loved the whole experience. We ordered boneless chicken wing with 2 sauces (buffalo and whiskey pepper) and both were great. For our entree we all ordered tacos. The tacos were amazingly unique and delicious. We were able to get 3 tacos (with beans and rice) as a platter and were able to choose from 6 taco flavors. We tried 4 (Vampire, Carne Asada, Burris, and Cumin Chile Shrimp). All were delicious and memorably unique. They also had a great variety of bottled and draft beers. Yard house is the place to be for the NBA finals Game 4 Celtics! There was a line just to get inside around 7:30 and then we put our name down for a table and they said it could be an hour and half wait! We decided to go hang around the bar - which there was standing room only - at least they have a little counter there so you can order drinks there. We did so and waited and luckily after about 35 minutes our table was ready- whew! TVs everywhere perfect viewing from anywhere in the restaurant. It got really crowded as the game started. The games in a tough spot right now but that perhaps means there might be a game 5 in Boston....who knows! It's only third quarter things could still turnaround. Went there to celebrate a very special night but we couldn't make it past the waiting. There weren't a lot of people, plenty of empty tables too. But everyone who came after us got seated before us. We were supposed to be seated after a 5-10 minutes wait. However, 4 couples were seated before us and after a 15 minute wait we walked up to the front desk person to ask how much longer we'd have to wait to which she answered that the manager was deciding whom to seat in whichever order it was. I don't know why we didn't make it to his list of being seated amongst the other people who came after us and didn't have reservations either. Wouldn't know what the food tastes like and not going back or recommending this place either. If a manager can't do his job right, I can only imagine how much the service sucks. I went to the Yard House after a Red Sox game and was very pleased. The restaurant is very large and clean with several tables and a wrap around bar. There are several choices on the menu for food and beer. The pints are about $6-7, but if you get the 1/2 yard you are getting a good deal! I ordered a Turkey Club and it was loaded with turkey! They put avocado and cheese on it too, which balances out the bacon. This was probably the best turkey club that I've ever had. The staff are bartenders and staff were fast, friendly, and attentive. I had a great experience with my girlfriend and her parents dining here on a warm spring day! It was a nice day, so we chose to sit outside on the patio. The host informed us that it would be a 5 minute wait to eat outside, which was fairly quick for a week night for dinner. The whole process took about 2 hours, with the most time dedicated to waiting for the bill, which is a bit lengthy due to the restaurant not being super crowded on a week night. The fries were wonderful-- crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the perfect size. The sandwich was (in all capital letters) AMAZING!!! The grilled chicken was so juicy, the avocado was perfectly ripe, and the cherry tomato relish was a wonderful addition to the sandwich. I was never a huge fan of raw cherry tomatoes in the past, but today's sandwich completed changed the game for me in that department. This was a large location with a spacious bar and plenty of tables to sit at. The menu had tons of options to choose from. There was traditional bar food and other creative choices as well. The service was decent while the food came out in a timely manner. For appetizers, the poke nachos ($15.99) and jumbo Bavarian pretzel ($12.49) were ordered. The nachos contained marinated raw ahi, wontons, avocado, serranos, white truffle sauce, sweet soy ginger sauce, sriracha aioli, cilantro, green onions, nori, and sesame seeds. This had a lot going on with the number of different sauces and toppings. The crispy wontons were key here as they held up with the number of toppings. I would have preferred a little more ahi present. The pretzel came with a house IPA white cheddar beer cheese and horseradish mustard. The pretzel came out extremely hot. It was very soft and dipped nicely with the cheese and mustard. The mustard was my preferred choice as the cheese had something I was not a fan of, potentially the house IPA. For an entrée, I just had 10 traditional wings with whiskey black pepper sauce ($14.99). They were not bad. They were very crispy and came out hot. The sauce was a little too sweet for me. The quality of the wing was ideal though. I would have liked to see some type of sauce or aioli to go with these as well. I also tried the grilled chicken and avocado sandwich. The chicken had a cumin and chili rub that was unbelievable. It was perfectly seasoned. It also came with avocado, Swiss cheese, roasted tomatoes, arugula, and a lemon basil aioli. PARMESAN TRUFFLE FRIES I freaking love these truffle fries. They're made with white truffle oil, parmesan, thyme AND parsley. Every fry is fried to gold, crispy perfection and when you bite into it, the middle is fluffy, soft potato-ey inside like a mashed potato, but fluffier. I gobble these fries up everytime oh my gosh, finger licking good. BBQ CHICKEN SALAD This salad is quite literally one of the best salads ever. It starts off with a base of mixed greens then you have the juicy, grilled chicken, the freshly sliced avocado, pasilla, charred corn, sprinkles of cheddar and monterey jack, some slithers of tortilla strips, diced tomatoes, pinto beans, cilantro and topped with fried onions. You can opt out of the fried onions if that's not your thing, but they're totally mine! Think of thin, but crunchy onion rings which is exactly what's on this bad boy. Oh and it's dressed in this really tasty chipotle ranch. I usually get the dressing on the side because I like to control how much dressing I have on my salad, just a personal preference. Now, get a little of everything into one bite and I'm telling ya just an explosion of flavors and textures in your mouth. UGHHHH it's sooo delicious. I could literally eat this everyday. Love it!
