We have to say the Yard House has the best Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich around. We have tried the same sandwich at several local restaurants and none can beat the Yard House! The flavors are fabulous, add in the Truffle fries and it doesn't get much better. The chicken is crispy and the slaw adds a nice sweetness. We have been here for happy hour as well, and enjoy the Cheese Curds. The tuna on the Tuna Poke seems mushy to me, so will not recommend that dish. We used to come here every week, and then realized how expensive the beers are, so we don't go as often anymore. If the drink prices were a bit more friendly then we would be regulars once again. read more

I don't know how to start this review, because I am out of words - which is highly unusual for me. Yard House is a place where I have been before a few times and I did enjoy it a lot. It has amazing architecture, European flair, and an outside - very European-like- sitting area. This time it was an extreme disappointment to the point that I decided not to go there anymore. We wanted to sit outside and there was a few tables open, but the girl who was sitting the guests stated " that's the only table you can sit at " when we tried to point out where we want to sit ( the other tables remain open until we left ). It was FRI Nov 25 at 0300 pm. After exactly 23 minutes of waiting, we got our drinks. Minutes later we could order food. It was happy hour. We started with Ahi Sashimi which was ok. Next, we ordered Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Pizza Margherita. The chicken was marinated in soya sauce to the point that we could taste salt only. As an addition to the wraps, we got a tiny portion of marinated vegetables which tasted nothing but sour. Pizza: it was sitting on frozen, pre-made pizza dough which you can buy at FRYS or any other store. The bottom of the pizza dough was covered with canned tomatoes ( about 1/3 inch thick ), and on top of this "pizza sauce " there was " Mozarella" of such a cheap kind that it was not melting. This " Mozarella" was swimming in the tomatoes from the can. On top of the pizza, one could find a few basil leaves which were dried out, basically old and lifeless. When I expressed my opinion about the " Pizza " quality and the way this food was executed - the MANAGER of the Yard House stated: " what else are you expecting, you are on the west side of the Valley ( !!!!!!! ) " I told them to take this " Pizza" back. Attention West side Valley people: Yard House believes they can feed you anything, and you will think it is ok because you leave on the West Side !! So basically you are stupid and have no idea what good food is !!!!! The Manager's comment was out of this world and he should be fired immediately. Next tried Asian wings. We received almost cold wings covered with PANKO breading and some kind of sauce, that was supposed to glue the Panko to the wings. When we received the bill we got overcharged for the Wings, it was supposed to be Happy Hour, but they charged us 14.99 for the wings. We just paid the bill and we left with the intent never to go back to Yard House again. I am attaching pictures from their Menu in support of my feedback. The actual " food" at the Yard House doesn't look anything like their posted pictures. It's a shame that such a great place is being managed by such low-quality people. read more

When it comes to any of their tacos- yuck! The flour tortillas gross. It seems as though they use some store bought tortillas. I know this place is not a Mexican restaurant but the tortillas are very cheap and maybe use "Mission" tortillas. These tortillas have a paper/cardboard taste and would definitely not recommend. Next, we ordered a slice of their chocolate cake. One side was hard and dried out. Almost as if they hadn't sliced a piece off in weeks and then cut our slice and served it to us. Food and beverages today were 5 stars. The service was beyond horrible. I love yard house. We've gone to different locations for years and today I really was shocked. My husband and I came for lunch and to have a beverage for a parents day out. We were sat directly in the sun while there were other tables in the shade or with umbrellas empty around. No big deal. Our server drops a coaster and says he'll be back. When he finally returns I am excited to request a beer flight where I can choose 4 beers. His response was shocking. He discouraged me from getting a build my own because he doubted we'd have the beers I ordered AND when I insisted he said he'd go check if we have them and how was he "supposed to have 500 beers memorized anyway." When he did order the beer, one was 86. Cool I chose a new one. When the flight came the beer he rang in was a sour instead of the porter I requested. He fixed it. He asked "wanna order entrees with your appetizer since you have me here for now?" And we said no we'd like to wait a little bit. When ordering entrees my husband asked for a side of ranch with his burger. The server brought the ranch out as soon as it was ordered. It sat in the hot sun for almost 25 minutes and flies landed all in it. When the food runner brought out food we asked for a replacement ranch. The server during our meal said "they're cutting me loose so do you want to get another drink before you pay?" And I said it was fine and paid the bill. How embarrassing. We stopped and ate at the yard house after a long day of 2 college tours and just finished up with seeing ASU. The overall ambiance of the yard house reminds you of an outdoor beer house. It was busy and there were a lot of people around. We had a party nine and were seated pretty promptly. Overall, I was quite surprised not only by the old fashioned that I had but the food overall was really good and not terribly overpriced. We had the nachos as an appetizer which was excellent and I had a smash burger that was cooked nicely with a ton of flavor! My daughter is planning on going to ASU after she graduates from high school so I will make sure to go back when we are visiting! read more

The best brew pup experience we had in Phoenix! Service was spot on...we sat at the bar and they must have had 4 or 5 bartenders who continuously checked on you. They always kept your area clear of dead glasses. They recommended the best beers if what you wanted in your flight was out. Conversational and pleasant. Beer selection is out of this world. They aren't kidding about the number of choices. Get a flight (or two) as we did and try everything you've always wanted to try and didn't want to buy a 6 pack of at the liquor store. Local beers, Belgian beers, ciders, everything! Yes, it gets packed and yes it's rather loud. But for the selection of beers and decent prices...I'll put up with it. We both ate too. I had the seafood pasta and it was really very good for a bar. Son had a pizza and gobbled it up. If I can find a Yard House on all my trips I'll go. But we'll definitely come back here. read more

I don't think I've ever done one of these but being in the industry I had to. It was packed, as there was a cardinals game, but it didn't feel packed by the way I was greeted right away to getting a beer within 2 minutes. The food is phenomenal. Q, the bartender, needs a raise for how amazing he was. As a bartender myself, and managing bartenders, he set the standard. Food came out in what it felt like 2 minutes because of the great service we received. Mind you again, the bar was full and people were walking up to order. Overall, 10/10. Also David being the OG he is, was so wonderful! Everything about today was phenomenal. read more

I don't frequent Westgate all that often and this was my first visit to this Yard House. My better half was heading to a short meeting at another venue but beforehand we decided on some refreshment. So, a seat at the bar was in order. Even for a Wednesday late afternoon, this place was busy. Finding an open spot at the big wraparound bar seemed like it might be a challenge but we found a couple of seats around the far side ( before she had to hit that meeting ). Staff was quick and attentive. We ordered a couple of glasses of wine, a Chardonnay and a "Cab" for me. The wine list was fairly decent for a sports bar setting and, while not stellar, is certainly worth a try. Of course there is a great and extensive selection of ales to choose from so you should easily find something to your liking. Yard House is a place I would hit up again if I were in the area. The bar is a good hang out spot for some time with friends. I can't speak to the food as we were only there for a short while ( I did linger for another 30 minutes while that meeting took place ). Staff are very very friendly. Cocktails are really good! A good layout. We joined the waitlist and it wasn't that long wait. When we got on, the host brought us to a round table and my eldest commented about a booth, and the host heard it, and ask if he wants to be in a booth but he said politely no this is pretty good so we all went back and forth. And she still checked a booth for us, though we were happy with the round table not so picky really but she was so nice to us so we were moved to a booth. I'm not sure why the "so-so" 3.5 star rating here at this Yard House location at the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, AZ. I've been to many Yard Houses. It was my first time here. This Yard House is now actually one of my favorites because the food, service and location are on point. They are COVID compliant and the outdoor patio area is beautifully designed. My experience was great. The weather was perfect so we asked to be seated outside. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch with a few of my business partners. Our waitress was friendly and professional. Since it was Tuesday, I ordered Tacos! They have a Happy Hour menu but they don't have a Taco Tuesday special - but should!! I ordered the "Taco Combo" which is basically two or three tacos in flour tortillas with spicy rice, pinto beans. I ordered two tacos but I probably could have eaten three LOL. I got carne asada and vampire tacos! If you're wondering what a vampire taco is, don't worry, I wondered, too. It's cheese-crusted tortilla, carnitas, bacon, roasted garlic, crushed avocado, salsa roja, sour cream, cilantro. Sooo good! It's not often that the food that comes out on your plate looks as good as the publicity photos but the Yard House is an exception. The sandwiches are huge! They put a lot of turkey in the club and the cheese steak was fantastic. We could have easily shared one sandwich. The bread is fresh and tasty and the meat is cooked to perfection. Then there were the onion rings!!! Maybe we could have finished the sandwiches if we hadn't eaten all of them (including the crumbs!). Our meals not only had all the right components and great presentation but everything was high quality--not one limp piece of lettuce or not-quite-ripe tomato. The service was good. It is a little n oisy--ok, very noisy while we were there, but considering it is a chain, we were pretty impressed. I am eager to try the Desert Ridge location next. read more

I was initially impressed by all the tap handles but quickly found out not all handles were working. So a couple of our choices were dry. There were enough other choices to keep us happy. One gripe: some pours had so much head (like 1/3 of the glass) that we felt a bit ripped off. We were there during Happy Hour, so we started with 1/2 price nachos. For $7, they were excellent. Large portion with lots of chicken and goodies. The same wasn't true for the fried calamari. They were over battered and some were really chewy. The 2 sauces were good though. This is our fave family restaurant at Westgate. They have something for each of our different likes. We have been eating at this location since forever it seems. I can't believe I don't have a review for them. I probably thought I had written one a while ago. At this point I can't remember anything before I joined Yelp back in 2011, I think. But I had been using it prior to that on my brothers phone. Thank goodness for technology. Anywho, family tradition at Westgate: we eat at Yard House, than right across head to the candy store, than head to La lady, and Just Sports. Than back to the main stage because there's always something going on we go there, let the kids run wild and lastly, head to Coldstone. So our tradition continued this past Saturday. Although we were too stuffed from candy and dinner to have ice cream. I love their steak, of course! But today I had the asada Street tacos. They are always delicious. My daughter always gets the truffle fries, we share them. We also got the queso tortilla appetizer and the guacamole chips appetizer. Everything was delicious as usual. We will continue to dine here. Over by the AMC movie theater area, lots of great restaurants in the area. Yard House is always a family favorite. Han served our group this afternoon out on the patio and she is wonderful! I love that there are lunch portions as well as dinner plates. Everything was delicious! Service is excellent! Our drinks were constantly refilled without having been asked. Han and her co-workers were so attentive and professional. We were celebrating two special birthdays as well and each received a delicious chocolate soufflé. We had a large party and were all seated fairly quick. The waiters were great and got our food out in a timely manner. From what I'm aware there weren't any mix ups in the orders either. I got the Spicy Jambalaya and it had a lot of protein like blackened shrimp, andouille sausage, crawfish, and chicken so it was very filling and I was able to take home leftovers. You also got the choice of linguine or rice so I switched it up with linguine and was not disappointed. Between myself and 2 colleagues, we tried the cheese curds, the guacamole, and the giant pretzel. All were great choices, although we didn't love the beer cheese that came with the pretzel, but that was so minor it didn't really matter.
