    Gardein - buffalo & Korean

Skinny margarita was mid. I come for the gardein wings. The buffalo is my fav flavore Korean ones were pretty good. Celery was fresh I wish they had vegan dressing to pair with them.

Our wait time for a booth was 25 minutes but we were seated by 15. The waitress made her rounds pretty regularly so we were able to ask for hot sauce and salt when we wanted. Super busy and packed on a Saturday night. I like the device on every table that showed pictures of the food on the menu. I really like the taco flight. I got the Korean fried chicken, beer battered cod, and the birria. Very exciting flavors. I thought the chicken needed more sauce. It should be dripping with garlickiness. I think corn tortillas might hold the sauce better as the flour tortillas got soggy fast.

Dined at the Yard House on a Friday night. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait. We went to the bar ordered a cocktail and 10 minutes later the bartender invited us to sit at the bar as two seats opened up. Turned out to be great because we decided to order our food and dine at the bar. We ordered the Poke nachos and Szechuan crispy beef noodles. Both delicious. Just about finished when our table became ready. It was way more fun for the two of to watch the bartenders in action.

Lots of seating and also patio seating. But for so many tables, it seems they are always understaffed and you have to look for your waiter and wave to them. They do have the ipads at the tables, but if you want something special you need to wait a lot to grab someone's attention. The food was ok. I did like the poke nachos, but the rest of the food was just blah. Parking is available because it in the Collection, but if you want something closer to the restaurant, you might not be able to get any spots. Good vibes for those seated at the bar. The rest of the place was ok

Came here for a meeting lunch for happy hour and it was a great time. Though the cheese curds came out a little later than anticipated, they were hot and fresh. The chicken nachos are definitely a two-person meal or a "now and later" type of dish. At the start of happy hour it was very quiet, quiet enough to talk at normal levels. However the moment 5pm hit the traffic picked up! Our waitress was great and attentive to our needs. She checked in with us constantly. We always enjoy our time here.

Love the drinks and service here. Always a good place to come with friends. Just be prepared to wait if you come on a busy night which honestly is everyday of the week I notice now. People come here to watch sports and a lot of team building tables during the evening like 2pm. Do the waitlist in person at the front desk. Don't rely on your phone for the waitlist. One time, I had put myself on the waitlist on the way and the server said it was not valid. Other than that, this place is the spot to be.

I stopped by Yard House for happy hour and really enjoyed the experience. The drink specials were great and the appetizer selection had a lot of variety. Everything came out hot and tasty, especially the Brussels sprouts and pizza.

Service was swift here, refilled our waters whenever we needed without asking. We got the poke nachos and the truffle fries, both were really good. Interior is cozy.

I ordered the lobster noodles for New Year's and found that what I received was not what it looked online.

The. Front staff were quick and accurate with wait times on a busy Sunday evening. The waitress was very nice and checked in with us. She separated our checks which we appreciated and we were able to pay at the table. The chicken Mac and cheese was good, nothing to write home about but fine. The chicken tortilla soup was NOT something I would EVER get again. It is a creamy white soup . I do not recommend it. The drinks were good and the cali roll stack was MASSIVE and well liked by the table!

Do you guys serve brunch on Sundays?

Hey Mariah! We don't serve brunch anymore but we do have brunch items on our regular menu, like Avocado Toast, Nashville Hot Chicken, mimosas, and Bloody Marys. We open at 11AM on Sunday!

Is there an open mic night available for sign up? I'd like to come down and play some tunes.

Hey! We do not have live music/open mic. nights at any of our restaurants.

To be totally honest, I was a little bit intimidated by how the process works. But I assume caught on that. It was almost like a chipotle kind of style place. I decided to go with a bowl. I was able to choose between three types of different bases, and I went with the basmati rice and the couscous was able to choose a couple of salad options as well. Luckily, we were able to mix and match since I can never make a decision on getting All three types of greens that they have. Then moved over to the hummus section and I was able to get the three most popular hummus flavors, which I actually don't remember what I got. I know one of them was an olive flavored one and another one was a little more spicy. Then over to the protein side of things, you can mix up to two different choices, and some of the other options there is an upgrade fee. Then removed over to the toppings and these are all unlimited and so I was able to get feta cheese, tomatoes, olives, purple cabbage, everything was so endless and amazing At the very end, you're able to choose two different kind of sauces and at the very end, my bowl was actually pretty heavy in weight but most importantly it was very delicious Thank you to the team member here that was very helpful and walked me through the process. I think I might've been too overwhelmed. Otherwise I might've just opted for the burger which I may still have to try next time. The sweet potato fries also look very good and I will have to try those next time for sure. There's a ton of parking spots right outside. I can't get a little bit busy here so she'll be so many different food options but generally, I haven't really had an issue with finding a spot.

I sat for a little bit while the server was clearing the table next to mine to seat another party. I wasn't given a menu until that party was seated and given their menu. Almost immediately after the older lady approached to take my order but since I hadn't had time to look it over I asked for a minute, but I did order hot tea. After a few minutes I was ready to order. At that time the older lady still haven't brought me the tea. The server went to take the order of the table next to me, even though they were seated later than me, and then came to take my order. There were two times the server used my table to put things down that she couldn't hold on to when serving the table behind me. One was the water pitcher (I didn't have any water) and the second time was an empty bowl. She would grab it afterwards but didn't say anything at all both times. I thought that was a bit odd. Prices have gone up. They no longer give the fried wanton crisp with the lunch special. Fried rice was mainly rice, although I did find two little specks of egg. The soup also didn't seem to have as much ingredients as before either. Another thing I noticed was the tip percentages listed on the receipt was after tax. Although the food still tasted good, I will only stick to doing takeout from here.

First, the gal who took our order was super friendly and helpful. The food was really good. Reminded me of We had the original chicken wings, japchae, kimbap, bulgogi bowl and the yuzu and grape ades. All of the dishes were wonderful. Chicken was nice and crispy --good flavor throughout and not greasy at all! The japchae had a great balance of flavors and the shiitake mushrooms, in particular, had really great flavor--must have been marinated for a long time to soak up all the juices! The kimbap was delicious! It was fresh and the pickle in it (Japanese call it takuan, idk what its name in Korean is) was super mild. It didn't overpower the other ingredients. The bulgogi was a solid dish. It had also the glass noodles on one side and plenty of meat and veggies. A good, well-rounded dish. We will come back for bing soo after the kid finishes finals, if it isn't too late! A local regular enthusiastically suggested we try it, so we will be back. The drinks were really delicious as well. Not too sweet and refreshing taste--I think each one is handmade individually. Overall, I highly recommend this place. It has all of the taste of real Korean home cooking at a good price point. You can get quality dishes in a casual in-and-out setting. We will be back for sure!

I am not about to stroll into Oxnard and pretend I am some linen-shirted coastal ethnographer with…read morea tote bag full of artisanal certainty. I had never been here before. I was merely a road-battered pilgrim, six hours removed from Oakland, washed ashore near the freeway at the velvet fringe of Ventura County, in that glossy new development called The Collection, where every building looks as though it was approved by a committee whose mission statement was: Let there be ambient lighting and retail optimism. My dinner choices arrived like mildly desperate contestants in a televised pageant. Cheesecake Factory told me the wait would be twenty-five minutes and that they would text me. Reader, I assume that text is now trapped in a ravine somewhere, being nursed back to health by quail. Then there was some steak place whose name dissolved from memory before I finished looking at it. So into Lazy Dog I wandered, hungry, tired, spiritually fragile, and very open to persuasion. And I have to admit: the place has a certain charm. From the back at night, Lazy Dog is weirdly enchanting. The warm lights, the patio glow, the bottles shining through the bar, the whole thing looks like a lodge designed by someone who wanted to seduce exhausted motorists into believing life is still full of promise. Yet the actual entrance is oddly easy to miss. The restaurant is basically playing hard to get. A chain restaurant with mystery. A flirt. A woodland princess in practical shoes. Inside, the vibe is part upscale sports bar, part polished suburban den, part "let's make everyone from picky teenagers to diet-conscious moms to semi-hungover road warriors feel included." Buffalo Wild Wings, but after therapy, better lighting, and a semester abroad. The seating is not what I would call voluptuous. You are not sinking into a cloud of velvet mercy here. But the room is lively, social, and good-humored. It hums in that specific modern way that says yes, you may order tacos, noodles, a burger, or a cocktail with fruit in it, and no one will judge your lack of culinary allegiance. The cocktail situation was fun. I had the raspberry sangria, which tasted less like old-world wine-country sophistication and more like Hawaiian Punch got hired by a vineyard. It was bright, sweet, cheerful, and only slightly ridiculous. A prom queen in a stemmed glass. I did not hate it. I also did not see God. 3/5. Service was reliable, friendly, and sincere, which in today's dead-eyed hospitality landscape feels almost mystical. No fake grandeur, no attitude, no emotional frostbite. Just kind, competent people doing their jobs without making me feel like an interruption in their evening. That deserves respect. The menu is broad enough to make you nervous. Burgers, Italian-ish things, Thai-ish things, tacos, bowls, pizza, noodles, probably a diplomatic treaty if you ask politely. Usually a menu this sprawling suggests culinary panic. But Lazy Dog somehow lands on the right side of chaos. Not transcendent, not revolutionary, but steady in a way that is more useful than many trendier places would like to admit. The fried hard-boiled deviled eggs were the surprise star. In theory, this is the kind of appetizer that sounds like America whispering, "What if we made the picnic more reckless?" In practice: very good. Crispy outside, creamy inside, faintly absurd, and impossible not to admire. 4.5/5. The shrimp tacos were also solid. Bright, fresh, avocado doing its usual California diplomacy, pickled onions bringing color and sass, and the whole plate looking just photogenic enough to make younger foodie civilians feel seen by the algorithm. 4.3/5. The shrimp Thai noodles were decent too. Not an oracle, not a revelation, not the kind of dish that makes monks ring bells in the mountains, but flavorful and more than respectable after a long drive. 3.8/5. That may be Lazy Dog's real strength. It is not trying to be a sacred culinary temple guarded by tattooed sommeliers and fermented foams. It is trying to be open late, fun, dependable, and welcoming enough to make a tired traveler feel the night still has one last good chapter in it. And after six hours in the car, that is not nothing. That is grace with parking. So no, this is not the hidden gastronomic throne of Oxnard. But it is a lively, late-night, good-energy landing pad with charming exterior glow, sincere service, fun drinks, and better food than a cynic might expect. Would I come back? Absolutely. Mostly because Lazy Dog fed me, comforted me, and acknowledged the passage of time, which is more than I can say for Cheesecake Factory. Also, points for being open until midnight, because some places close early as if adulthood itself should have a curfew. Lazy Dog, by contrast, understands the nocturnal needs of the weary, the under-caffeinated, the gossip-prone, and the mildly glamorized freeway drifter still chasing one last decent meal before surrendering to hotel-sheet oblivion.
