Hubby & I love to come here , sit at the bar and enjoy the best truffle fries & Spicy Ahi roll ever. Had an unfortunate incident last week with two rude, disgusting men sitting near us. They were talking so loud, worst language ever and it was starting to escalate. Naomi, the mgr. stepped in and handled these two with more tact & class then they deserved. She defused a potential disaster and they were escorted out- with security called. My coworkers and I came to celebrate a Christmas get together at the Yardhouse in the collection in Oxnard, but we just had horrible experience. Our server was Tiffany, and she just had a nasty, bothered attitude with us the entire time. My food was cold, my friend ordered fries and they never arrived even after asking for them a second time, and Tiffany couldn't even fake a smile for us. For every request that we made, which was only like two after ordering, she looked like she hated her job and didn't want to be there. She needs to get trained to work as a waitress because it is not fair for the people who go in with a good attitude to have it be completely ruined by one person that is supposed to make the experience better. Hopefully she, and her managers see this and the appropriate action is taken. read more

Today was my first time ever at this restaurant. The staff was very friendly, food was amazing, I will definitely be back ! Our server was very attentive with us and made sure we had everything we needed. I was amazed how the manager helped our server bring us our food. Manager Juan made us feel very welcomed and asked how everything was. My wife and I went here on a Monday night before a Movie and they had specials on all of the appetizers. We had the lettuce wraps (A), Egg Rolls (B+), the Sliders (B+) and the Onions rings (A). All served promptly. I ordered a Lemon Shandy that was too sweet which the server took back and replaced with a Stella (no charge for the Shandy). The outside seating is comfortable and warm (for what was a cool night). Inside was loud, but plenty of seating even for the world series being on... Our server was pretty clueless about the different beers and ales, etc, which could be a problem with other customers. My cousin and I LOVED our waiter, Michael. Yesterday we decided to drive up PCH for a fun little day trip from LA and wanted to find a YardHouse before Ventura. My cousin knew exactly what she wanted, how she wanted it, and wouldn't settle for less (spoiled, I know). She showed him a picture of how her jambalaya plate looked like last time at a previous YardHouse location in Brea, and since that moment, it seemed like Michael opened up to us. He has an extremely warm and funny personality, and it seemed as though we could all talk for hours and hours. Our conversations went from food, to Halloween mazes at different theme parks, to conversations about pickier customers, to Disneyland, to dessert, and last but not least, laughs about how people can't do math when splitting bills. It was my first time at any YardHouse location and the atmosphere and food is great. I got the Angel Hair Pasta with olive oil, pine nuts, tomatoes, and parsely while my cousin just settled for a pepperoni pizza instead of taking the chance of the cooks getting her jambalaya wrong. Anyway, everyone should ask for Michael. I've never met such an outgoing person at any restaurant I have been to. YOU DESERVE THE HIGHEST RAISE. LOL I promised Michael I would review him today. I may not go to every location and/or may not be able to go to this location since it is a bit of a drive, but I definitely recommend this location. The manager is awesome as well. I came to celebrate 4th of july and my birthday. I came with family and girlfriend. I really like the interior of the restaurant very industrial look. I read some reviews before I write mine, I was lucky to find the best service and food on this special occasion for me. I ordered a couple of beers from the large selection they offer. I had Vodka Shrimp angel hair which was delicious and very hot when served. They brought me a chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream on top to celebrate my birthday. This was the absolute WORST experience I've had eating at this restaurant. I come here often & usually have great service, no issues. Today, my mother & I sat outside because it was cool colder in our restaurant than outside. I asked a manager to turn on a heat lamp which took quite a while to figure out. Our waitress Brooke, was horrible. She screwed up our appetizer- edamame with a side of salt (she brought the salt after we were almost done), she never refilled our drinks, never came to check on us, messed up my salad - I stated no blue cheese and there was blue cheese. Since she never came around to check in us, I had to go inside to ask for a manager. He came over and offered to make a new salad. We also ordered 2 hot drinks which never came. I asked the manger about these drinks as well & informed him our cold drinks were never filled. He still, never filled our cold drinks. I am extremely disappointed in today's service and don't plan on returning any time soon. I decided to try this place again. What can I say. Who do you complain to when the manager is just as bad as the waiter? He never brought me salt for the edamame after asking about 5x, the chicken lettuce wraps came with zero seasoning do they had to remake it, lettuce was old & withered, and drink refills.. forget it. My husband ordered a second coconut shrimp when the manager came to the table- that never got put in until the waiter came by and asked where it was. I also asked the manager for the bill which never came until I grabbed another waitress walking by. Nothing was Comp'd so I paid $97 for horrible service & shitty food. Never again. read more

This place is walking distance from my house. Liked that the collection is bringing nice restaurants. Came in around 1pm which was good no crowds was sat right away. Had the BBQ pizza with a lagunitas beer everything was delicious. Haven't tried the evening but I heard it gets crowded but overall good atmosphere our waitress was good as well. read more

When we first arrived at The Yardhouse, I was struck by the lovely aromas of beer, more beer and people's breath filling the air with the sweet smell of beer and more beer. The lovely smell was almost drowned out by the classic hits from the 70s, 80s and beyond. Yes, I now know that I am a shooting star. Don't you know? We were quickly seated and our friendly waitress Veron*i*a (her name has been hidden because I don't want to get her in trouble). She was very attentive and very friendly and did a good job. Veronica seemed to pay close attention to us even though it was a busy Friday night. V-Dawg was on top of her business! The food and everything else was good but please less Green Day. Or not. I've been to Yard House in different locations but for some reason, they never managed to stamp a signature food item that makes me want to go back. And every time somebody invites me to this place, they always say "they have everything" - just like what their menu looks like. But I am not going to have everything when I sit down. It's like wanting to have a relationship with this place but it just won't work because we don't share anything special. All I remember is that the place has a nice ambiance with its decor and style. Whenever I ask myself "what did I like to eat from here last time?", I'm stumped and ends up ordering something I won't even remember liking later. I had the skirt steak salad. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I could order something from somewhere else and end up getting ten times the satisfaction.They were slow, too, which was surprising seeing the empty tables during lunch time.
