We came in today at 5pm and were told it would be a 10 minute wait for indoor seating because we have our baby with us and it's 106 degrees outside. The wife and I sat down to wait to be seated. Nearly 30 mins passed by and my wife got up to check the status and they said we will seat you now. As we went to our table a group of three men who had literally just arrived got seated inside and they wanted to take us outside where it's well over 100 degrees. I went to a Yard House in St Louis a couple of years ago and had a great time and meal. I went to the Rancho Mirage location today and was very unhappy with the food. I had the Sesame shrimp noodles and they looked great, but didn't have any flavor except seasoned very hot. Sent it back and get fish and chips, which were average! No salt on the fries, ton's of mayo on the coleslaw. $35 later very disappointed and won't be returning. Very bland food!!! read more

25 minutes into sitting down we received our food and drinks. Still no silverware. Ask the person who dropped off our food for utensils so we could eat. He decides to do something else. Ask someone walking by for silverware nothing. 10 minutes after having gotten our food still no utensils. Had to go up to the front desk to ask and they were able to source some. Where to begin.... We made a reservation for 7 PM and somehow there was a "miscommunication" among staff so we were pushed back. We are a big party of 12. We all arrive before 8 since our reservation was suppose to be at 7. We're not seated til 8:36, we're all hanging out at the bar in the meantime. The bartender Subi was Awesome she's the only reason I'm giving 2 stars. She was friendly, funny, and very accommodating. The gentleman in the front host stand Jason was very rude and short with us. Whenever we'd ask how much longer he was short and frankly passive aggressive with us. Unfortunately this isn't the first time I've experienced passive aggressiveness from the host. Very disappointed with my service! I called in ahead to place an order for pick-up, as the man taking my order was also rudely talking to somebody else in the background. When I arrived to the restaurant, I was notified that the manager took my order and never actually put the order in. I was then taken to the bar so they can BARELY place my order. Love the Yardhouse. Good food. Great Beer (usually) and good music. BUT, yesterday we visited the Rancho Mirage location. Not so good. First, their off menu beer selection is weak. So, ordered a Yardhouse-Stone IPA collaboration. Keg was tapped. Choice number 2 was a Green Flask West Coast IPA. Line was frozen. Same story for choice 3 and 4. Settled for a Sierra Nevada that was simply mediocre. First time in years I only had one beer at Yard House. read more

Love this place! Went to happy hour every day when in the desert. Brett was one of many super bartenders. Andrew was our waiter during the hurricane. Very friendly and entertaining. We ate here last week after a golf game. Service was great & so was the food. So glad restaurants can start to be back to what they were.

We have been devoted fans of the Yard House since the first one opened in 1996 in Long Beach, CA. I worked in Long Beach for many years as the HR Director of a major organization and rented the Yard House's private room for corporate events and hosted many celebrations there. I am now retired. We live in Marina Del Rey and enjoy visiting that Yard House, along with many others throughout the nation as we travel. My son is a pilot for American Airlines and he and his crew enjoy eating at Yard Houses all over the country during their layovers. We have never experienced a problem at a Yard House Restaurant, until now. My husband and son took me to Palm Springs for Mother's Day and Monday night at approximately 8:30 pm, we put our name on the Yard House's wait list to get a table for dinner. Since the wait was over an hour long to get a table, and we prefer dining at the bar anyway, we waited at the bar about 10 min., until two seats became available. There was a lot of space on either side of the two seats and numerous empty bar tables behind us, so we asked the bar tender if we could move one of those bar stools to the bar. He told us "no," because the amount of people sitting at the bar was restricted. I told him that there are only three of us and we only needed to add one stool. Without considering my request, he empathetically stated, "I'm getting the manager!" He returned and said, "The manager said no!" As he said this, someone who I assume was the manager, appeared behind him. I explained that we were all one family and we have all been vaccinated. There was plenty of room to add one more stool at the bar, that I pointed out. He said that he couldn't add more seats to the bar due to COVID restrictions and if he let us do it, everyone would want to add more stools. He showed no empathy, didn't apologize or make any effort whatsoever to accommodate us. I didn't argue with him, but NO ONE else was waiting to sit at the bar. The one hour wait was for large families with small children and several had baby strollers. We were the only people standing at the bar, wanting a seat and I feel that the manager could have accommodated us without anyone even noticing. It had been a very long day and all the nearby restaurants were already closed. It's sad because we would have run up a bill of at least $150 and because we were allowed to add an extra seat to the bar, used our Platinum AmEx to leave a very generous tip. But instead, we turned and walked away. We ended up buying frozen, meals at Albertsons, that we microwaved in our hotel room. I know I will never return to this Yard House and in spite of all the wonderful memories I have at Yard Houses all over the country, it will be a while before I, or my son and his colleagues return to one. I'm aware that the manager had no idea who we were, or how loyal we had been to the Yard House over the years and I sincerely hope we weren't being treated the way we were because we are African American. However, as a retired manager, I feel that he could have used discretion and handled the situation in a more professional manner. read more

This was my first time at Yard House, overall its an average or below average restaurant. The food was decent but not worth the price. Paid $20 w/o the tip for 3 tacos and a half full stomach. My buddy had the pizza which was also over priced and the cheese could literally be pull off in one piece. Spaghetti was also average and the portion size was small. Now for the pros, Stephanie was our waitress and she was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere is also enjoyable for a large group, the dim lighting, multiple TV's, and big seating areas was nice. I've been to this yard house twice. The last time was on a Friday afternoon for happy hour. We sat in the bar area. Service was kind of slow despite the area being pretty empty. Went here on a Thursday date night.it was really busy which is good for them. Had to wait for 5 mins while they sat a big party. All the big tables were full of people. Service was good from Andee (I believe that's how it was spelt). She server was attentive despite dealing with big tables and a weird table sitting behind us. Food was good. The cheese curds were a little disappointing. All the cheese curds appeared to have melted into one giant pile of breading and cheese. Didnt send back still pretty good when eating it. Lot of oil at the bottom though. Nashville hot chicken sandwich and fries were on point. My wife liked her salad. Cocktails appeared to be weaker then other locations but was still good. Always great service. Met up with some friends here during the mock opening of the state in July. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Only reason for one less star is because about half of the beers I tried to order from the menu were unavailable. Took my family to eat here, knowing it would be packed from covid and restaurant guidelines, I went online to yardhouse.com and made a reservation during this the website said our wait list was a 5-15minute hold. When my family got there I checked in with the host and told her my party was here and we made reservations online. However the host Gloria proceeds to tell me that they have now removed any wait list from the site and it's only in person check in. I then tell the host it's unfair if the website is still showing that reservations online are still active and as a customer it is not fair to reserve online since it's misleading me. She then proceeds to tell another host about the issue of online reservations and that host was rude and stated "no, no more reservations online. If guest come in with those types of reservations, we dismiss them and we place them on a new waitlist here" . The host Gloria who originally helped me was on my side and states "well can you tell the manager it's still posted online?" The rude host said "no" just let them wait. I then told the rude host, please let your manager know that reservations are still showing up online and to a customer that's not fair at all, it's false advertising". She ignored me and the nice host Gloria apologized for the insensitive comments made. After 5 minutes waiting the rude host Called my party name and she seated me with a comment "because my manager removed the posting, and he will let you sit and honor your reservation online". The manager Rafael came by our dinner table and was very apologetic and nice. My family and I were pleased with the service we received, from Gloria to Eddie our server; beside the rude host. The service was perfunctory, just the bare minimum: ordering from an iPad, deliver food, race away. The TV's were loud, the vegan option, Gardein bites, were hard and salty af, the rest of the menu was deep-fried greasy bar food, the beer was served in a weird glass, which was not cold and the head had receded, so probably poured a few minutes before. Seems like they changed the meat they use. It was dry and just not as good as they were. Never received condiments/salt&pepper/lemon wedge we asked for. Server didn't come check on us until we finished our meal, so no refills on drinks or otherwise.
