Okay. I've eaten at Pasadena Yardhouse and had a great experience, so maybe the cook at the Temecula location was having a bad day. We could not get hot food delivered to our table nor did the cooks seem to understand "medium". I received overcooked, lukewarm ribeye and overcooked shrimp along with near cold mashed potatoes. My sister received the same cold potatoes with overcooked swordfish, two friends had the same meal as I with the same temperature issue. Thanks to yelp, me and my boyfriend decided to try out Yard House. It was a great decision! We began by ordering the deviled eggs. Who would've thought to put marinara sauce on a deviled egg? But it totally worked! I wanted to order more. Then we ordered our main dishes. I had the turkey Cobb salad and Brock had the new york steak sandwich. I really liked the presentation of my salad. It wasn't just a jumbled mess like most other salads. However, it was, in the end, just a salad. Nothing special, but certainly not bad. The New York Steak sandwich kind of made me laugh. It literally was an 8 oz steak placed between bread with shoe string onions on it and a slightly Italian, but otherwise unidentifiable sauce on it. It was cooked medium-rare, exactly how it was ordered. The steak comes with sweet potato fries, which I tried to resist, but couldn't. I know, I'm weak... So then Brock reminds me of the "mini" desserts. I figured, why not, all I had was a salad! Yeah... The mini desserts are maybe small in comparison to a "regular" sized dessert, but a far cry from mini! We had the mini-trio with chocolate souffle, lemon souffle, and the peach apple cobbler. Delicious! (although there went all of my sugar intake for the week!) No complaints about the service (and you know if you have read any of my other reviews, it's all about service for me!), Almost every person on the staff asked how we were doing as they passed our table, and my drink was never empty. The bill was about $61 which to me is reasonable because we had a couple beers with dinner. Because of all the TVs around I will certainly be going back there to watch the football games. Also, for those of you vegan/gluten-free/other crazy thing-type of people, it has many choices for whatever special diet thing you require. It really caters to many crowds. Ok I guess I have to eat my own words. I recently visited my well reviewed Yard House and had a much read about disappointing experience. First off we entered our name in to be seated and noticed several people were seated before our party. After 20 minutes I asked what was going on and found out she forgot to add our name to the list. 2nd we were seated at a table by the kitchen which is noisy after we asked for a booth. After being seated we waited for over 15 minutes to be greeted and to take our drink order. ( again the table next to us was seated at the same time and already had drinks ) After another 15 min wait we were asked if we were ready to order. We asked for some appetizers and would order our main course once the appetizers arrived. It's took 30 minutes for 1 California Roll and 1 Hummus Trio to hit the table. We asked the manager to help assist in this situation and he agreed to. We places our main course over 1 hour from the time we sat down. The dinner was prompt and food was good. Wow! Horrible service. When we asked for ketchup several times our waitress Rebecca said I'm working on the ketchup situation but first I have to go to the bathroom. When she returned with the ketchup she said it took longer because she couldn't reach it. Came in on November 12th Before we went to the Wallflowers concert. It was a great start and we thought we were in for a great time at The Yard House. When we right when we walked in we asked if they could switch one of the TV's to the hockey game and they did change it as soon as they could. So that was much appreciated. We ordered and asked that the GARDEIN MAC + CHEESE we were going to share come before the meal and it did. And OMG IT WAS AWESOME!!! I feel I should leave less stars but my wife thinks 3 stars is fair. I'll let you decide. Their menu says Gardein Vegan burger. I do not understand why when the menu says one thing the waiter tells me that their vegan burgers are made in house. I do not understand why you would make it in house when the gardien burger is 100% superior in texture and taste. And guess what? Your freaking menu says GARDEIN, not made in house. You obviously have someone who is not vegan or vegetarian making your vegan burgers. Your in house vegan burger has no taste and it falls apart. When we are eating vegan "meat" we want it to be as close to the real thing as possible. It's like if I go to in and out burger and order a grilled cheese do you think I am going to take it home and put a burger like vegan burger in there or do you think I am going to put something only a meat eater would call vegan "meat". Something that falls apart before I even take a bite? How do you actually get that crap to the bun before it falls apart? That in itself must be some kind of feat. It's a good thing ketchup was invented. Because I do not thing I would have been able to get that crap down unless I killed it in ketchup. Ok my wife had the GARDEIN BBQ CHICKEN SALAD. She has been vegetarian/vegan for over 30 years. I asked her on a scale of 1 to 10 how would she rate her salad and she told me a 4. I don't think she ate half of it. It was that bad. Her main problem was that there was way to much dressing. Made the whole salad super soggy. And the Gardein chicken was so mushy, you should be ashamed of yourself for serving that crap. What you need to do is NOT put the Gardein in the microwave. How hard would it be to have a separate small grill to cook your Gardien so it can have some texture. In the microwave makes it mushy. On a grill makes it have some texture. And you CAN'T cook it on the same grill as meat and call it vegetarian or vegan. Just not the way it works. Maybe you should hire someone to go around and show you how to cook the vegan dishes. Because I do it all the time and I used to ask my wife if she would order the food I make a second time if she had it at a restaurant and most of the time it's a yes. No I just ask her if it's better than the Yard House. Lol My wife says bravo for having the vegan/vegetarian selection. She says that alone is good. But I say if you can't cook it. Why have it on your menu. And you have no clue what vegan or vegetarians want. You will lose more money by having crappy vegan food on your menu. Than if you just took it off. You need to know how to cook it. Now for the service. For the most part it was good. But I sat there for over 5 minutes staring at my empty ice tea glass. How hard is it to see the glass needs a refill and send someone else to fill it? Good service includes timely refills and it one of my pet peeves. I hate it when I have to wait or ask for a refill. I would understand if I emptied the glass as soon as I received it. But not when I have one for most of the meal. And if Angela C is reading this she needs to get a life. I never said it's supposed to taste like meat. I said if the menu says Gardein. It should be Gardein. But if it's imitation meat then it should be somewhat close to tasting like meat. Even if it's not going to taste close to meat then it should at least taste like food. Which it did not. AND If it's cooked on the same grill as meat, it's NOT VEGAN!! Tonight was an unpleasant experience. Where do I start ? First its a pandemic Nd the water to the bathroom sink was not on ! Second there was not soap . The food was cold was cold , uncooked and the shrimp was rancid! Honestly will not be returning ! The staff dropped the food and ran and they changed waiters on us 3 times in 2 hour span . Tried to come here after Easter with my family. They put me on a waiting list because I had baby strollers with me and said they were a fire hazard, but multiple other families with strollers were sat problem free. I was told my wait would be 10-25 mins, 45 mins later I ask what's going on and they tell me the server is taking a break. For someplace to go to for late weeknight drinking in Temecula I could settle for this place. We all know there's slim pickin for late night places to go to in this city. Yardhouse fits the bill for what I'm lookin for. Late night happy hour starting at 10pm is always a good thing. They have 2 outdoor seating areas with plenty of seating. Decor is typical Yardhouse,...dark, sleek, and modern. How can you not like a place with an extensive and I do mean extensive menu listing of beers (over 110 varieties of beers on tap)? So good! Staff very friendly and helpful. Happy hour menu really pretty good and cheap for a fairly nice joint. Food is of good quality and not overtly fancy. Try the sashimi. MMM Good. This isn't the typical happy hour crap you get in other bars! Another plus for me, music wasn't too loud! I could actually hold a conversation in there without feeling like I was yelling or straining my ears to listen. Okay maybe I'm getting old. Ha! Nothing too exciting to elaborate here. We come here all the time, mainly because they're open late and have a good beer selection. My husband is a stickler for good IPA and thus, Yardhouse. I order a long island if I'm drinking. Their drinks are the perfect amount of alcohol, where some places in Temecula only offer weak drinks. Our favorites on the menu: guac and chips and the poke bowl. Hands down the poke bowl is delicious and good enough to have as a meal. The summer salad is my favorite salad but I have the cook swap out the spicy balsamic for regular balsamic and take out the leeks. Their sliders are delicious and you get four instead of three [like most places]. My husband orders them without sauce with added blue cheese crumbles. For the fries, add bacon and cheddar bits. On multiple occasions waiters and managers have asked us how the sliders are-- " I have to try that combination sometime". If you're having dinner and really hungry, hands down the best meal is the southern friend chicken. The bourbon gravy and mashed potatoes are so good. It's hard to say which part is better; the chicken or the gravy. For dessert, try the creme brulee. It has a chocolate layer at the bottom and the bananas are perfect. read more

I love this place. It is my second visit here. The food is SUPERB and so is their amazing selection of beers, wine and liquor. Our service was awesome. When we first sat down, near the bar, we had three different servers check to see if we were ready to order. Our assigned server was jovial and made sure our every need was handled promptly. This is our anniversary weekend so we wanted to go somewhere different. I won't give this five stars because it wasn't "as good as it gets," but it was pretty close and yes, I am now a fan of Yard House! The weather was perfect so after our movie, we walked around outside the Promenade Mall before stopping by the Yard House. At first, I didn't think I wanted to wait 30 minutes for a table, but 1) it didn't take that long, a 20 minute wait, maybe; and 2) the music we listened to while waiting (80's classics) was so very awesome, every song was a favorite! The interior is "sports bar-y," we were seated at one of those little round tables. At first I was put off because I'm not one for those types of tables where you have to hop up onto the stool with your feet tangling, and I wasn't crazy about the crowd and the noise, but I soon got over that. The noise wasn't so loud that my husband and I couldn't talk and (brace yourselves) I actually got into the college football game that was on (Nebraska [home] vs. Wisconsin -- Wisconsin kicked butt, 70-31). For those who know me, I know zilch about organized sports, so that's quite an achievement. People: everything we ate was a-mazing! We started with coffee and the Mediterranean Flatbread on the "Snacks" menu. It's the size of a real appetizer so I still don't quite understand the reason behind the Snack menu when there's also a separate Appetizer menu (other than price). That flatbread was so very yummy and I must try to recreate it at home. The coffee is strong, you've been warned. Next, my husband and I shared two dinners: Grilled Chicken & Avocado Sandwich and the Petite Filet. I could eat the Grilled Chicken & Avocado Sandwich twice a day, every day, it was that wonderful. Okay, so it fell apart pretty easily and I ended up making a mess but you better believe I got every crumb. I'm a sandwich kind of girl so I was extremely happy with that yumminess. The steak was also divine (for those who eat red meat). Note to self: do not attempt to share a five-ounce steak with another person, you'll only get two-three bites to yourself, tops. The sandwich came with wonderful shoestring fries in this cute paper cone and a pickle (pickle lover). The steak came with grilled veggies, charred broccolini, and some tomato bacon onion jam (???). The veggies were wonderful (one gripe: not enough of them) and the broccolini was good too, but I think it might have been slightly undercooked, just barely. I don't eat pork so I didn't try the jam, but my husband devoured it, so it must have been good. We finished our meal with the Mini Trio Sampler plate (Lemon Souffle Cake, Peach Apple Cobbler, and Chocolate Souffle Cake). Sweet, Tart, and Savory all on the same plate. Our eyes were buggin' when we were done. These were amazing (dare I say that I loved the cobbler the best, being a chocoholic) and are definitely worth having again. Caution: they are rich!! At first, I thought our meal was expensive, but for the quality of food we received and the "simply delicioso" factor, the price was quite fair. Average. The waitress was a bit sassy but i think she was almost done with her shift and just wanted to go home. When we were done paying we left her tip inside and she took it right after. The staff was really excellent. My friend and I stopped in for snacks and were pleasantly surprised. After mentioning a cilantro allergy, the manager came by and made sure we didn't order anything with cilantro. I have never had that experience before and was touched by their attention. Wanted to say thank you to Landis for going above and beyond for me today while dining at the bar. I sat down to get lunch and was greeted with a friendly welcome. I ordered chips and guacamole plus a taco and a martini (strawberry fields) I mentioned to him that I was really hungry and not feeling well (I'm hyperglycemic). He got me water, and my chips and guacamole out within only minutes. Nice to see that he cares enough to rush my app out to me. I love visiting when he's working the bar.
