Absolutely the worst customer service experience I've ever had. We placed a to go order for 7 koobideh's (ground beef kabobs) and 2 joojeh's (chicken kabobs). These were full orders which come with rice and tomatoes. We also ordered 2 yogurt appetizers (mast-o-mooseers). Once we got home and took everything out, we realized that they didn't provide the tomatoes nor the 2 appetizers. That was not even bad, compared to the fact that once we all started eating our food, we realized that the food was NOT COOKED! It was NOT COOKED! I made multiple attempts to call and demand a full refund, but the owner continually relayed the message back to me that he was willing to give me half off the order, if I re-ordered the same thing. Tender joojeh kabob and creamy mast-o-musir--flavorful, authentic, and satisfying Persian food.

We called for reservations and when we arrived we were seated at the reserved table by the window. Sahar our hostess was very kind and attentive. We ordered sultani, shishlik and barg kabobs. We were first served with complimentary sabzi and bread and butter. The main courses came out within 15 minutes and everything looked good and tasted very good. Yes the management has changed since two years ago but we found the service and food to be excellent in our visit. We finished with a giant dessert of faloodeh and bastani combo. The faloodeh was the best I have had. Overall I would go back and I recommend this place. My cousin and I ended up here yesterday for leap year 2/29/2020 as she has a shellfish allergy and we were both hungry for some MEAT after eating a bunch of macarons from our dessert cooking class at sur la table. We looked up on yelp and decided to come to Yas for some Persian eats as it was a a good rating that we saw on yelp. We yelp Checkin which gets you a Persian tea on the house, it stated for the table but it's one glass per Checkin. Potentially one redeemable as they charged us for one despite that we both had yelp. My cousin had been wanting to try Tahdig (crispy rice with a stew) and honestly I didn't care for this fish at all. It tasted like fat old rice that was crispy (really stale?) and topped with a beef lentil stew. The stew wasn't bad but I wouldn't repeat ordering it again. Then we saw a yas special (combo for 2) and decided to order that to share. Chicken was moist and tasted like thigh meat, the ground beef wasn't bad and the steak was a bit on the chewy side. All in all it was bland for me and I normally eat bland. I was hoping for more flavor but we both ended to leaving unsatisfied. :( Again maybe an off day compared to others? We came at 12:45 on a Saturday and it wasn't packed at all. One other table was dining and when we left, there was another table eating but never more than 2 tables being served. This is the best Persian food restaurant I've ever been to.Their rice is out of this world. I know that seems like a strange statement to make, but once you try it you'll understand. It's so fluffy and buttery and flavorful! I can easily eat a whole bowl of their rice by itself. Except then I'd be missing out on all the other wonderful things they offer. My go to is their koobideh, but their chicken is also amazing. I'm in love with their ghormeh sabzi on top of tahdig. I'm also very particular on my ranch, and they have by far have the best ranch. This was the 1st time I had Persian food and I had a great experience here. We came to the restaurant 30 minutes before closing is closing and the staff was so nice and accommodating. We ordered the lamb, chicken, and steak kabobs and they were all delicious.. My favorite was actually the chicken because it's zesty, but so flavourful. We also ordered the eggplant on the side and I highly recommend this because I feel like it made the dish so much better. Great experience and great food here. I don't think of Persian food as much different from Mediterranean cuisine . I have been to Yas couple of times and in both the food is so delish beyond words. Their veggies are well spiced and the meat tastes so clean. I tasted the lamb, chicken & salmon and all are very well spiced and cooked! The ambiance is nice and calm. We happen to go later at night so often empty , yet the service takes long wait to get the food and the hostesses have some difficulty speaking English but they manage to get the order accurately. I wish they place halal sign for their meat to reduce confusion . The place seems to serve alcohol but we usually get a table far from the bar. It is a nice place to have work dinners , meetings and even family times. Not sure if it can take large groups without reservations so maybe plan accordingly. read more

As someone who has never had Persian food before, Yas restaurant opened up a new genre of food in my pallet and keeps me craving for more. Service was outstanding and polite, with the food being a 10/10 to complement it. The chicken cooked to perfection, to the point that it slides off the bone. Everyone in my party of 4 all enjoyed this restaurant. My only suggestion is one plate can feed up to 2 people in my opinion, so we felt that we may have ordered too much food. Please save yourself the time and trouble!! Do NOT come to this resturant anymore. I'm sorry that I brought my family here. It used to have good food, good service and great people. My family came tonight (Wednesday) for dinner, waited for 35 mins sitting at the table, no water served. So we waited longer, the waitress was nowhere to be seen for another 15 mins. Either I go in the kitchen to grab her or I wait more, I decided to call the resturant. After the phone stopped ringing, she finally came out of the kitchen. So I waved her down, placed our order, only to realize that the table behind us is still waiting there for their order the last 50 mins!!! For the last 50+mins sitting there, they also didn't have any water on their table. So I urged my family to leave. My kids needed to eat and go to bed. We can not wait any longer. Delicious food and a homey vibe. It's like a Persian diner! Loved the kabobs plus the little extras like the jalapeño and olives. Most places only include tomato, but growing up my mom always grilled a jalapeño too.
