Came on a Wednesday afternoon with no line and full seating available. I've been coming to this location for some time now. It definitely would've gotten 5 stars in the past but this time I visited, it seemed like the food was old or sat out too long. I hope this was a one time thing, very disappointing.

Black Ramen. Whole piece of pork was fat.

This place sucked so much. Prices aren't posted on their menu, so it's a big surprise when you see that each dish is +$20. Which for the quality of food and how long we waited, was definitely not worth it. Waited 45 minutes for a ramen, salmon teriyaki bowl, and 1 roll. The pork chasu for the ramen was 80% fat and salmon somewhat dry. The wait was ridiculous because at one point there was nobody in the FOH for like 5 min. Turned out that the food had been ready for at least like 10 min, it had just not been bagged up yet. I live around the corner and always walked by this place so I thought I'd give it a shot. Should've checked the reviews.

EXPENSIVE! for quality of food Online prices don't match once you get charged. Overpriced compared to other places with better food quality bear by. Check recent reviews. Place is empty that should have been the first sign.

My wife asked me to bring her Ramen for lunch at work, and I knew just the place to go, Yasai Japanese Grill. As soon as you walk in, it smells delicious, and the restaurant is spacious and well-organized. They have specials, and their menu is displayed on the walls. The staff is friendly and attentive. Today, I ordered our favorite dish, the Red Ramen, which is flavorful. The meal was ready in about 15 minutes after I placed the order. If you're a fan of Ramen, I highly recommend checking this place out!

Wow what a downgrade from before. Got charged $44 for 2 orders of Unigai Dragon and no miso soup like before and the salad portion is tiny. Ahh going to miss the old Yasai food portions and there was no price for me to check what I'm getting charged.

Chicken bowl with white meat. This is my favorite dish. The cabbage (I delivered sashimi) is amazing.

The food is always good. I have been coming here for years. I order the same item every time (except maybe once). This location is welcoming especially since the furniture upgrades. In my experience, the staff are always friendly.

Great service overall but definitely not your spot if you're looking for cleanliness. Thankfully this isn't my local spot and just a place for jury duty across the street. As I was waiting for the food, a cute little cockroach decided to visit me. When it saw me and gave a little wave I gave it a slight cowboy nod of the head and it went on its merry way. Needless to say, I requested my food to be packed up to go instead of eating in. The sushi and udon were quite delicious. However, I couldn't shake the nagging feeling that my six-legged friend had a hand or should I say leg in the final flavor.

We came here after the movies. They have expanded their menu to include a variety of ramen and sushi and other items. Years before it was mostly teriyaki bowls and some rolls. It was the daylight savings day so it was dark and a little chilly, perfect weather for ramen. I ordered the Red Ramen which is spicy comes with a chile y todo (and all) I could not but that chile I could smell the spice from it loll but the ramen was flavorful, spicy but not too hot for me. I got chicken instead of pork belly, also could get with tofu. My mom ordered the White Ramen with pork belly and a roll which I forget the name of but the roll was good to share. Everything was really good. It wasn't too crowded. The service was alright. They call you up to get your order don't bring to table which is ok. The server that day was not really too helpful this is why I was giving the four. Overall, we enjoyed our food. They also do to go orders which a lot were coming in. It's a little gem close to the movies perfect for date night or family night. Highly recommend you check them out. #thankfulthursday

Wow this Yasai has to be the worst location I've been to. Not only is the food completely different, the portions are absolutely miserably portioned and overpriced. My husband and I paid $40 for TWO PLATES. They even charged a $1 for adding spicy sauce?! No other location charges for it. Avoid this location and just go to either Cerritos or Placentia locations where the food is delicious, price is fair and the portions are filling.

This is our first time at this location, and I gotta say I am unsatisfied with the pricing here compared to the other locations. Between my wife and I, we paid for 2 teriyaki plates alone, coming out to $40. On top of that, they don't have any beverage options besides what's in fridge (which isn't much). Unreasonably Overpriced for the food you get compared to the other locations.

The food is not YASAI food anymore. I used to come here for years. The interior decorations are good. The service is great but the food has changed big time. We ordered our standard unagi dragon and beef combo plate. The unagi dragon rolls were dry, tasted dry and totally different from the original, no thick sauce over it, very thin layer of eel unlike before or on the picture on the wall, also the eel didn't taste smoky and greasy as before. Total waste of money. The beef plate combo is the staple dish for YASAI. It was disappointing to see they have totally changed the good thing they had going for years and substituted everything to the point that it's hard to call it that same dish anymore. There was a veggie skewer - they now give greasy tempura. That was awful. They had great 2 sides of Japanese dressing light salads - now they have inedible mixed greens covered with CORN! and a pitiful amount "a sprinkle" of a dressing. The other original cabbage salad that was my favorite is now reduced to 3 forkfuls bite size. Even the beef amount is so reduced and they put cabbage underneath it to make it look like there's more volume of beef than what it is. Absolute waste of money. Unlike the Cerritos location for YASAI (this was the original location and we used to be one of the original customers since the beginning), this location has changed into a completely different nasty food restaurant. I'm not coming back.

Got the White Ramen. Tofu, was cold, so was the broth. Had a weird smell. Wasn't very good. Paid $30 for soup and a canned Coke Zero.

Food is decent. I like the eel bowl and most of their sushi is tasty. Staff is nice. Pretty basic but still yummy.

I wanted to try a lot of things she did not want to waste of space for the veggies although they did look good. I ordered the chili oil and the garlic butter. The garlic butter easily was shared between the fillet and the shrimp adding a nice umami flavor. The garlic oil was smoky and not too hot. The chicken fried rice in my opinion was better than Benihana's or just as good. Although the garlic noodles were a little sweet from my liking, I was evil easily able to alter them to something. I enjoyed with some chili oil and soy sauce. It tone down the sweet. Simple, clean decor. Several ways to see the menu on the wall LCD or by the counter. The service was very good, quick and kind. The quality of the product was very good. The fillet almost melted in your mouth, and the shrimp was cooked well without being rubbery. I spent $52 here to upgrade two chicken fried rice and garlic noodles. They have plenty of parking a huge parking lot, limited seating, maybe eight tables or so, mostly four tops.

The food is actually really really flavorful the lobster I had was very tender and juicy and the jumbo shrimp were a good l size. I would have ordered the chowmein though instead of the rice because the chowmein was way better! After discussing with the family we enjoyed it but it is 4 stars since it does take quite a while to have your meal and the customer service could be better. The food itself carries this place but 5 stars if they can improve service!
