Let me start by saying that I have NEVER had a nice short hair cut until I went to Yasmeen. Even that is an understatement. I had long hair for the past 9 years so I decided to go shoulder length but Yasmeen suggested that I go even shorter. I AM SOOOO GLAD SHE DID! I love my hair cut and the way she styled it. Got my hair did last week again by this crazy stylist that's loud, funny and full of life! Wanted to get my hair dyed a hidden layer of turquoise and she was super honest with how it'd actually turn out on my dark hair if I didn't bleach first. She could've just done what I asked, charged me for it, and I would've been disappointed. Instead she was straightforward and even tried a piece out to show me. I felt that was incredibly thoughtful cause it showed me she cares about her clients happiness. Her salon was clean and organized. She took me from fro to silky smooth! Ends are so healthy now from the cut. I also like that she didn't try to push products on me.... I hate how most places ask you what you use then tell you how terrible that product is and how you should this (always much more expensive) product is. Heard of this place from a friend and I had to try it. I loved it!!! Came in with a faint idea what to do, but was opened to suggestions. Yasmeen was awesome!!! She took the time to find out about me and listen to my need for change. I was glad she asked if there was a price range I was looking to stay within, because knowing me I would pick something not even thinking about the price. She made me fell comfortable and confident in her abilities, as she explained exactly what she could do with/for my. As others have said she is passionate about her art. I am so glad I let her influence me with a lob hair cut, babylights and balayage. To be honest I didn't even know what that hair cut was, but I said I wanted to cut my hair, but not too short and after she explained it to me and the maintenance for it I was sold. The baby light and balayage totally gave me the subtle brightness she said it would. My dark virgin hair absolutely needed it. She was honest about the time it would take because she gives the product the time it needs to do its magic, but it was totally worth it. Not to mention my mother in-law came along with me and asked if she could get a cut too. She went with an amazing Brazilian blow out she had been wanting to try. My appointment was already late but she stayed late to glam us up. I brought my mom in for a haircut because her previous hairdresser had done a terrible job and I knew Yasmeen wad a curly hair specialist. Yasmeen is a miracle worker!! I don't usually write reviews but I really wanted to leave one for the gorgeous salon. I initially doubted that a salon would get all 5 star reviews with no negatives and thought some of these reviews may be fake, but still decided to give it a try since it was really hard for me to find a women-only salon with privacy. Well I am very happy I did. Yasmine is the owner. The salon consists of a medium sized room and is available by appointment. So I was the only person getting my hair done at that moment. This on its own gives a very special sense that all the hairdresser attention is dedicated to my hair and not juggling back and forth between customers. Space is comfortable. The service was on-time with no waiting. Yasmine is very meticulous with her work, detail-oriented and honest. She knows what she's doing and at the same time very respectful and listens to feedback. She's also very easy going and entertaining. I am the type of person that doesn't like to chitchat with strangers but it was easy to talk to her and the 3 hours appointment was very smooth and seemed to go by fast. I had a haircut and a brasilian blowout. Pricing is very reasonable and wonderful customer service. I will definitely go back regularly eventhough the salon is an hour drive from where I live.
