This place largely seems to be utilized for take out more than dine in. However the restaurant has a decent feel and is more comfortable than many Chinese food places. Their menue has a good variety of the standard take-out type fare plus expands into a few other varieties like Be Bong and the like. The waitress was attentive and friendly making sure we had everything we needed and that the food was satisfactory. I had the hot-n-sour soup and the Moo Shu (chicken). I typically judge a Chinese food place by their hot-n-sour soup. I think a lot can be told by the freshness of ingredients and the quality of the broth. I can tell you what I am NOT looking for is canned mushrooms and snot-textured broth. Ye Express hot-n-sour soup was on the higher end of my pleasure scale for this dish. I am not saying this type of soup is the best ever, but I enjoy it at Asian places more than most (tom kai-gai is at the top of my list). Their broth was light and almost runny. it did have some thickener in it but not much. The soup had a bit of kick which is also missing from many soups of this variety. The mushrooms were FRESH!!!!! almost unheard of. the other ingredients had 'bite' to them at least telling me that if they were canned at one point, they hadn't been sitting in a slurry getting soft. The Moo Shu is also a dish that the difference between a great experience and a dull one can be a small gap. I do enjoy a good Moo Shu though. What makes theirs is two things. The hoisin sauce seemed particularly flavorful. It gave the otherwise fairly bland mix of cabbage and chicken and other things I can't identify the extra boost needed. However, I ate leftovers for breakfast this morning and I can say that it wasn't too bad by itself (without the sauce). Again, my believe is they used hand-chopped cabbage and other veggies. Even this morning after sitting all night they still had flavor and some chewiness. Prices are average and I know the location is a favorite among locals for take-out. read more

It's so hard to find a Asian restaurant that has great fresh food until you go to Ye's Express! This is a jewel in West Warwick. Right on Main st. Next to the CVS. When you walk in the decor is fresh and modern. At the back of the restaurant is the Sushi bar don't miss it. Some of the freshest sushi in the Providence area. I was actually really impressed with Ye Express. For starters the lure of delivered sushi had my family going crazy with glee. The idea of Pho delivery had me doing the same. So we went nuts with our first order. Sushi, Pho, assorted staples of other take-out joints. It wasn't the fastest delivery I've gotten in the area - but when I first drove by I realized that it's a small place and I wouldn't let some extra time to get to me take away from the prospect of a new place. Everything was hot and fresh. The only downfall is that the Pho noodles aren't Pho noodles - they are more flat and tasted more like egg noodles than rice - but the portion was huge, everything was separated, the chicken was a great portion of super clean white meat. They even threw in chili paste (maybe then knew how I crave it). Though it was not the pho I was hoping for - it was still tasty and I would absolutely get it again. The sushi was a hit with everyone else, as was the assorted apps we got. Dumplings were big and full of meat, chicken fingers were not over breaded but also didn't taste overly oily. The teriyaki was very tender. All in all - I am writing this review because I just got in from work and I'm craving it. Unfortunately they close at 10 during the week. The only complaint I have is the description on Yelp shows a (1) $ sign indicating it's reasonable. However it should be (2) $ because our meal for 4 was $90. First time ordering, delivered in about an hour (eh, Pat's are playing). Spider Shrimp Roll: basically supermarket grade. No avocado (though advertised), only a little cucumber, tobiko, or spicy mayo, definitely not worth price. General Tao's Shrimp: sauce was a bit watered down and bland, stingy on the broccoli, HUGE shrimp, though. Shrimp Fried Rice: lots of shrimp but was bland. Disappointed, considering the reviews. I'll try it again, maybe they're having an off night? But next time, I'll order something different and tell them to spice it up! My husband and I love this place- I am always tempted to get Chinese takeout when I'm at the dollar tree because the parking lot smells so good. I used to love ye express until I found a hair wrapped in my nim chow last year. I waited some time and once my craving for their food overcame the grossness of the hair incident, I went back and ordered nim chow and some Pad Thai. Fortunately the nim chow was hair-free, however about halfway through my plate of Pad Thai I chewed down on something hard and clearly inedible. We have always liked this place since our move to the area. The building is unassuming but the staff is very friendly, courteous and caring making sure everything is to your liking. We have ordered take out and have either picked it up or had it delivered. If you order delivery before 5p the delivery is quick and prompt. However if you order after 5:30p expect a little wait as it could take up to and hour to get your food. After ordering from here for almost a year, we just learned today that since we live out of the new 5 mile radius of the restaurant, there is now a delivery charge - albeit a small $4 charge, it's an additional charge none-the-less. This added fee will either be taken from the drivers tip or we'll reduce the amount of times we order delivery from here. read more

We decided to go to Ye Express. Over the times I went to Ye Express i thought it was the best Chinese restaurant out there I was wrong about Ye Express instead of a waiter escorting us to a table a cashier did it instead and told us " You can set anywhere you want to"but as we were looking for a table this one table had plates and cups on it we then looked back and the cashier said you guys could clean it off if you want we looked for another table that was cleaned off and sat down but I have to say I feel offended because he must have thought since we're Mexicans we clean everything but I can't complain that the waiter that served us wasn't rude. Another reason of my complaint was because when I asked for one big plate for me and my friend he gave us a plate the size of a cereal bowl what kind of server is this. I have tried many Chinese restaurants in my time. This is by far the best Chinese I have had in the surrounding area. The only other place that compares to Ye express is in East Greenwich. The prices here you will not beat, the food is always hot and great flavors I have yet to order from another place after eating the food here. The delivery men are always so polite. I've ordered from this restaurant on occasion because I have found it to be one of my favorites in the area. However, the last time I ordered will be the absolute last time I ever order from them. Pest control needs to pay a visit to them. I ordered an egg roll and a few other things, only to bite into the egg roll and find a large, cooked grasshopper. Antennas, little black eyes, legs, arms, body, head ALL in tact ...... I'm not even going to say what happened after that, I'm sure ya'll can figure it out. Ew! We came to Ye Express tonight after seeing the phenomenal reviews on Yelp! From the outside, you half expect it to be one those small crummy Chinese restaurants, but upon walking in you are greeted with a friendly server, and the place is clean, freshly painted, but also pretty small.We were very pleased with our experience. The staff is remarkable, very pleasant and accommodating.. The food is also really good.The quality is exceptional , without all the MSG , you don't feel disgusting after leaving. We ordered the chicken fingers and Nim Chow for appetizers.. Unfortunately, I've had better Nim Chow, since this one lacked a bit of flavor. We had pad thai and chow mein for our main course, which were very tasty. The prices are reasonable, and their portions are pretty large. What a find! We live very close but usually go north or south for an enjoyable meal. We've eaten in every sushi restaurant in the state. This is right up on the top of the list. Ye express is the best restaurant between Ebisu in Cranston and the Matunuck Oyster Bar. All the rest pale by comparison. Great food, wonderful service (thank you Dan) clean, and pretty atmosphere. I'm a little surprised because the food is not as good as the reviews led me to believe. With that said, the food was good... but I expected great. The steamed dumplings were very doughy but the meat inside was delicious. The fried rice was good, it had huge chunks of pork, but very little flavor. Finally, I had sesame chicken. Again, it was good, but lacked flavor. The service was excellent, the delivery was fast and friendly, and the prices were very good. Crab Rangoon was the best I have tasted in a long time, the boneless chicken and gravy was nice, came with broccoli on the side which I thought was a nice healthy addition. This once way my favorite spot.. over the past few weeks it has gotten sloppy and not then same.. tonight has taken it to a whole new level.. I spend about 100.00 a week from this restaurant due to company I have come over. Tonight I am embarrassed by the quality of food and service. First off when you tell them you have 8 people eating you and you need extra sauce you would get the little cups per person (especially since I'm paying $95.25!) nope just one plastic container. So that's one. Then the fried rice .. the containers not even filled actually very fluffed up not packed in like usual so the two large that normally fed the 8 only fed 4 and no people I'm not joking.. I ask for my rice to have no veg due to an allergy and tonight seems they took it upon themselves to hardly even give rice. Chicken chow mein wasn't hot, the boiled white rice with it also cooler..Then one of the most expensive items is sushi.. I always order spider shrimp rolls a visitor loves them.. well the last time I ordered my visitor mentioned it didn't taste the same or look the same well tonight was worse! Those are 10.00 a piece... I have to usually order two.. no avocado in them.. basically two small shrimps that didn't even reach the whole roll! What true hell is going on! I have never complained to this place because quality used to be amazing. Well when I called today the first time about the sauce I got the manager no issues... now because my visitors are business visitors they complained to me so I wanted to tell them. I call ask for a manager I hear the younger boy say "it's that woman again.. you know that one about the sauce" in a rude ass tone and you could hear the manager complain that she had to get on the phone then I was hung up on.. so then they call me back i am so beyond pissed at this moment I am just over it I tell the young guy I'm not spending 100 a week there anymore I'm over it..
