The service is great, they are very attentive and kind. The inside is very clean and the lighting is very relaxing. When in the mood for Chinese, this has to be a place that's worth trying. I've tried quite a few places in my time and if in Rhode Island, this is a trip worth your time. I've been here twice the service was great the first time very quick but just most recently, the second time here- service was very debatable. The food here most certainly makes up for some negativity. I do not know what happened between our dining-in visit and our recent take-out visit, but the food received was bad enough that I won't return. The order was packed correctly. There were an acceptable number of condiments and cookies included. The staff member who assisted us in house was pleasant. I ordered through their website. The vegetable egg fu yung had no taste. I can't explain it. I added a packet of the included soy sauce and it did not help at all! I actually opened another packet and tasted it. Nothing. Again, it was weirdly tasteless. I tried some soy sauce from my fridge thinking maybe I'm getting a cold and can't taste it. Nope. The soy sauce we have tastes like soy sauce. To be fair, the hot mustard was tasty. Vegetable Chow Mein had a bit more flavor. Salty and those crispy noodles added flavor and texture, but all round, this is just a dish of overcooked cabbage, sprouts and celery. Would not repeat. The online menu shows 'Beef eggroll' as an appetizer option. I was thinking instead of pork and cabbage, they were beef and cabbage and ordered them. On the restaurant menu they are listed as 'Philadelphia eggroll' so I was wondering if they were like a cheese steak. I've had 'Irish eggrolls' which have shaved steak and cabbage and those are good. These are only shaved steak and they are greasy and again, tasteless. No spice. No cabbage. There may be a bit of onion and bell pepper in there but not enough you can tell. I reheated these in a skillet and about a quarter cup of fat leeched out of them during the reheating process. Ick. Everything needed spice and/or was over cooked and/or very greasy. I don't know if there is a new owner but this is very disappointing. We won't return. read more

I have been a chef of Chinese cuisine since leaning in Los Angeles' china town in the 1970's. This restaurant is hands down the absolute WORST Chinese restaurant I have ever had the displeasure of dining in. There were plenty of wads of gum to choose from applied to the bottom of our table which seemed more appetizing than the fried ? and dipping sauce? that the waitress called "table candy". I'd rather have eaten the "table candy" underneath the table. The hot & sour soup was the darkest H & S soup I've ever had and tasted very old. The ribs appetizer looked off color and had an odd oder. I spit out that first bite of foulness. The fried rice was anything but fried. More like a salty brown gravy sautéed rice. The Hunan beef had vegetables I've never encountered in a Hunan dish before and was extremely salty as well as being of the poorest quality. The dirty windows and front door in need of painting, not to mention the dingy scuffed carpet and low lighting should have been dead giveaways. read more

Decent experience overall. Good food at appropriate prices, but I think the mix of cuisine is a bit much. They have Japanese, tradition Chinese and Vietnamese and some of the items we got weren't good, while others were excellent. I would highly recommend the Generals Tso as well as the beef teriyaki and grab Rangoons, but I would skip the pad Thai and sushi. The texture of the sushi creeped me out and the douse the pad Thai in sauce which made it quite soggy. I would definitely go back, but I would be more mindful of what we order. read more

After years of going to Dragon Palace, tonight was our last time there. Usually we go a few times a month with 6-10 people. Tonight we went with 4. One of the 4 meals was so salty it was unbearable. It could not be eaten. The manager in charge refused to remove the 1 meal from our order even though the food was still on the plate. It's sad, the owner is local and has always been wonderful. But this manager destroyed any chance of us returning. We will not go back there again. read more

Ordered some take out on my way home from CT... picked it up about 8:45 pm. When I got home 20 min later went in for their Won Ton soup which was awesome. Then garden salad with their signature dressing--big and good. Then I went in for several sushi rolls and app that ordered. Yuck. The yellowtail jalapeno app--stunk--fishy, refrigerator-metal taste. Same with Kamikaze and PWCD (did not contain 8 pieces either) ($33 of my $53 bill) Went to restaurant at 1130 am next day WITH refrigerated product. The manager (Sean?) flipped out--rude--screaming. "You came here last year--I remember you" Thats right, I did--a similar experience. Bear in mind, I've been here dozens of times--written rave reviews --know the owner Dave --great guy. If the product sucks, as it sometimes does--you will definitely hear from me. This guy was RUDE and refused to offer a refund. He was fortunate that I controlled myself--could have been really ugly. I went in for lunch midweek and had a great lunch at the bar. The bartender was awesome and we had excellent service and suggestions as we were there. Sashimi was excellent and was on the Japanese lunch special list for $21. Everything was fresh and the hot and sour soup was fantastic. We also ordered the Thai chicken special, but they weren't offering the Chinese specials for lunch anymore so we had to order it at regular price. I was expecting the chicken to be grilled and not fried, but that's not how they make it here. It was still good, but didn't have enough room to finish it for lunch. I had never been to this location until last night and overall I enjoyed it. My first impression walking in was I liked the atmosphere and the dim lighting..nice big bar and private dining room. Was sat right away, brought delicious table chips (wontons) and the the server came to take the drink order. A few nit-picky things for me was she asked the drink order and when I asked for a menu said there was only one cocktail menu in the building and she couldn't find it... that's just weird to me. Every table should have a drink menu. Also the food menu was paper which isn't the end of the world but I like an actual one. Ordered sushi for an appetizer, it was very good, very fresh.. would definitely come back for more. The duck and oyster sauces were also awesome. My issue is not with the food (was great) or the long lead time (expected that)..my issue was with the pickup process. Pretty Impressed What a cool find. First just so you know, the entrance is on the side of the building. A fairly modern dark lit restaurant and lounge. Serving great drinks, quality scorpion bowls and a delicious planters punch. The places sports very large bar as you walk in so grabbing a stool shouldn't be a problem. This place does an amazing amount of take out. They also sport a sushi counter. Food from scale of 1 to 5: Chicken Wonton Soup: 4 Spicy Wings: 4 Tempura Pork Chops: 5 Barbecue Spare Ribs Bone In: 1 (Sadly not good and 14 dollars, avoid) Overall besides the ribs everything else was great and the service is very attentive too. Starting of, the menu is HUGE and had multiple different types of cuisines. We ordered a Scorpion Bowl for 2 and it had a good flavor but was weaker than ones we've had other places. There are a decent amount of vegetarian options. They have a pretty extensive dinner combination section which comes with chicken fried rice and your choice of Crab Rangoon or egg roll - they charge you $1.75 to make it vegetable fried rice instead of chicken fried rice which was annoying because they're essentially charging me to take OUT the chicken component? We both ordered bean curd (tofu) dishes and they were both good. The tofu tasted more like silken tofu rather than firm. They also make their own duck sauce in house which tastes (and looks) absolutely nothing like traditional duck sauce - not a fan. To start with the service was lacking. Bus boys looked so unhappy & unwilling to help our server. Sushi was ok. Salad was delicious & the dry noodles & sauce on tables were 5 stars. General tso was not good & chicken teriyaki inedible. The NK restaurant serves nim Chow and the general chows and everything else I've eaten there is spectacular. We noticed the bill was a little higher than expected, both of the dishes were 2-3 dollars higher than in the menu and the online menu. She came back and said the manager told her new menus had been ordered with the new higher prices but they haven't got them in yet. She apologized but the manager did not offer to give us the menu price. First impression is that this place is a little dark. More light is needed. But this place was definitely busy and I immediately knew why. The server was on point. As busy as she was she never showed an ounce of stress. When we needed something we got water, tea, and our food. The hot and sour soup was hot to the touch and hearty. In the words of my dad it had the perfect consistency. The shrimp tempura roll was tight and the flavor was a sweet bite. The meals were tasty as ever. The owner/manager yells at staff in front of customers which leads to an uncomfortable environment. It's difficult to enjoy a night out when someone is being belittled within feet of your table.
