I had such an upsetting experience for my first time at this location. My food was wrong, but we were already on the way to an appointment by the time I realized. Called the restaurant to see if they will make it again tomorrow so I didn't waste my 33$, and the manager said I had to bring the entire thing back to get it fixed. Understandable but I needed a few bites to hold me over since this was my breakfast that I planned and purchased and I needed to eat. She said no. Would not work with me. So this was our first visit to this restaurant. It is a walk up to counter to order and they give you a number. Our cashier was nice and helpful. We ordered two breakfast omelette meals (Denver and veggie) and the colossal cheese burger (with pastrami) fries and fried zucchini. Employees bring your food to the table as it is prepared and all items were served hot and fresh. The omelettes were great. Veggies cooked perfectly and lots of cheese. The hash browns were nicely cooked (just needed a tad more salt for our liking) The colossal burger was big enough to share and was stuffed with fresh lettuce tomato and pastrami. It was cooked well and not soggy. The fries were crispy. The zucchini was cut into small strips with cornmeal (?) batter and fried. They looked like deep fried green beans. They were crispy not oily and served with ranch dressing. (Couldn't really tell they were zucchini since they were cut so small) The restaurant was clean and the bathrooms too. The employees are constantly walking around and assisting the customers at the tables. They were all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return when visiting Menifee again. read more

I've been here to Yellow Basket a few times and I have yet to find something here that stands out to me. Since they have a huge variety of menu options, I figured I'd try the different kinds but nothing here is unique. Nothing here really sets this restaurant apart from any other restaurant. The food is not bad but it is really expensive. Today I got some breakfast for me and my wife and we spent more than $40 just on the 2 of us. All I got was a breakfast burrito and my wife got the French toast combo. I had actually even requested an extra tortilla on my burrito but they wanted $3 for it so I said no thanks. We got it through the drive thru and I figured we will be in for a nice treat once we get home since I paid a hefty price for it. To my disappointment, the food was not worth the money at all. My wife's French toast combo is one of the saddest looking French toast combos I've ever seen (picture attached). My burrito was not only small, but it seemed that the only thing that had flavor in it was the sausages. To be honest I am better off just sticking to McDonald's for breakfast. If anyone want to eat well, you are better off just going to the Texas Roadhouse next to Yellow Basket. You'll probably end up spending the same there. I should have learned my lesson after the last time. The place looks like a fast food restaurant without the service standards you might expect from a fast food restaurant run by teenagers. In other words the service was awful. Wow! I couldn't believe the prices but I thought well this little independent will probably be good. 25 minutes in the drive thru only to find out our order was wrong and the portions look like someone really cheeped out on us. So tiny it was almost laughable except I was very mad at that moment. It's almost as if the manager is so pressured to make cost goals while food is being swiped out the back door. I honestly have no other explanation as to why a $17 Philly cheese steak sandwich had about 1 ounce of meat and almost no cheese and an order of fries came with 6 French fries. For a long time I begged my husband to try this place and surprisingly today without me asking we hopped onto the drive through. Lucky for Yellow Basket because the In n Out line was so long. Anyway, we found the food was completely average but do appreciate the huge menu. My husband ordered a double cheese burger and he said it was ok. At one point he said the Burger King whopper was tastier. Fries were better than average fast food restaurants. Drink size was like a medium drink at in n out. I ordered a regular cheeseburger for my autistic son and what I found out about this burger is that the buns are humongous and patty was thin. Maybe make the patty match the size of the bread. My turkey melt with avocado was nice. They gave me a good amount of turkey meat. I believe it's deli sandwich meat. My avocado looked good no browning. Would have been nice to have a little more avocado. Prices seemed high but I think it's either average or a little below. I am comparing to Burger King which seems to be the most expensive in terms of fast food. In n out is the most affordable. My dad and I decided to have lunch at this location. As soon as we walked in we were great with smiling face and a clean restaurant. The restaurant is diner style .. they actually bring your food to you and the hospitality is just like be at home. We ordered 2 pastrami sandwiches an order of fries and 2 drinks. Food was served hot and fresh. Towards the end of the meal we had leftovers in which the manager kindly asked if we needed to go boxes. Came in January 17 around noon and there were several customers dining in. Staff were all masked and practicing safety in today's unique times. We ordered turkey club sandwich, pastrami sandwich,tuna melt with avo and onions, a side of fries, onion rings, oreo shake, and strawberry/vanilla shake to go. All were delicious. We got home and the food was still hot and packaged with care. A meal with no frills, simple, and everything was good. I would've preferred provolone instead of cheddar in my tuna melt, but that was my fault as I didn't specify. It was perfect nonetheless. Breakfast was OK. I've been twice. I was anticipating better for the price. Picked up breakfast for my family that lives in Menifee and it was very pricey for all of us. The food did not majorly disappoint, but it did not entice me to go back either. I definitely expected more from the chicken fried steak breakfast burrito at that price. Been years since Iast visit. But, was craving milk shake with dinner to beat heat and this old spot came to mind. Very nice person, Teegen, took our order. He was helpful thru our indecision while ordering. Anyhow, it took just a few minutes then food came out cooked to order & hot. The server was also very polite and attentive. Get a burger if you like a nice char taste. Went with a double but single would been fine. Zuccini fries are must get. Salads are huge. Ranch dressing takes homemade. Shakes are thick. My daughter and I stopped by this Yellow Basket and ordered our food to go. They gave us our order and we had to ask for our drink. That should've been a clue to check our order. When we got home we were missing my daughter's French fries. This ruined her meal. I called and spoke to the Manager about the missing fries. She asked what I wanted to do. I said if I go back I want my entire order redone because we didn't want cold food. She said she wasn't doing that. So I asked how we were going to fix them ruining her meal. She said she would give us a credit. I asked if that was for my daughter's meal and she said no just the fries. This is bull crap. They ruined a meal we paid good money for and she wants to credit us for fries. I can't believe such a great place to eat would do this. This is my 6th trip in for breakfast since they opened. I ordered the breakfast special that comes with 3 good size pancakes. I noticed the taste of the pancakes themselves was different. I asked for an extra syrup, which the server brought right away. All the staff was fantastic, and the food was cooked perfectly. My only complaint is the recipe for the pancake mix, and the syrup has changed. The pancakes had a strange taste, but we're fair. The syrup was totally different than I had on previous visits. Very sticky and odd tasting. Vendor change perhaps, but not for the better. Syrup was so sticky that when I tried to clean up a small spot on the table top, it was impossible to clean up, even with water on the napkin. I am having a hard time getting it off my lips! We arrived lunch time. The maintenance guy was right in the middle changing fluorescent bulbs in the middle of the restaurant while patrons are eating. Very UNSANITARY!! Dirt is going airborne. I mentioned this to an old lady who served our food & was a cashier too to mention to the man5. I suppose the message was not shared because they maintenance continued changing bulbs.
