This place is such a classic burger spot. The service is above and beyond. They have lots of cool decor and a simple clean traditional layout. The burgers have great flavor and the fries are damn near perfect.

Yellow Basket is off the 215fwy off the Newport exit located on the corner of Haun Rd. & Newport Rd. by Texas Roadhouse. Staff I've encountered lately has been amazing. I've tried plenty of their menu items such as their 'Burgers, Breakfast, Pastrami, Salads, Sandwiches, and Asada Burrito'. I've loved it all, EXCEPT their Asada Burrito, which is flavorless filled with too many beans, rice, guac and barely any meat. The restaurant is clean and organized, always decorated, depending on the season. It's always a good meal, but I will stay away from any 'Mexican style' menu items.

The moment you step inside the door you get hit with the scent of mildew. The staff and regulars must be immune to it by now but it is strong if you're new. This is our very first visit after being in the area for nearly 10 years and wanted to finally give YB a go for some brekkie. We forge ahead and order an Ultimate Breakfast as it seemed like a good deal for the undecided and an Avocado Toast. We find seating in the back to wait for our food. Luckily the mildew scent isn't as strong in the back of the dining room. The food arrives and the Ultimate Breakfast contains all the faves, 3 eggs (cooked to your preference), a couple of bacon strips, sausage links, ham, and a mound of hash browns. Along with two slices of toast and two pancakes. The Avocado Toast is enough to fill you up but I felt they skimped on the actual avocado and were more generous on the toppings to hide that fact. Everything was pretty much on par with diner food, the only real disappointment was the pancakes, which were quite rubbery like they mixed the batter for way too long. I literally needed a knife to slice through them. Service was pleasant and adequate. A lot of their diners seemed to be older seniors and they have a discount menu to accommodate them. Overall, a decent spot for 3 stars but not sure if we'll ever become "regulars" since the stink of mildew (minus 1 star) will likely keep us away.

1 sandwich. Nothing extra or special.

When I moved to the area about 3.5 years ago, the YB was a place to get good portion for a good price. However, pricing has gotten out of control. Especially compared to what is given. My firdt angst was when they raised the price of the breakfast burrito when egg prices went up. Ok. Prices went up for eggs and there was a sign that said once egg prices were down, the price of the burritos with eggs would go back down. That did not happen. Now the burritos with eggs are excessively overpriced for no reason. What drove me to a review today. I was going to fet a breakfast meal, but decided on a sandwich. I ordered the pastrami sandwich. Which BTW, isn't listed with a price in the drive through menu. I dont drink pop so I just wanted the sandwich and the small sized onion rings. These two items came to $26 and change. I was like wait, what?!?! When I asked at the window the sandwich itself comes to $18.22. With the small onion rings $26. $8 dollars for a single order of onion rings!! WHAT! NO. I Ended up just getting the pastrami sandwich since I was in the drive through line. The sandwich DOES NOT look like the one pictured. They put it on a long roll type bread. The bread isn't grilled and crunchy like you'd expect. Would have taken just a few more moments to do so. There is a decent amount of pastrami, but definitely not nearly $18 worth. I'm so disappointed in how jacked up their prices are compared to products size and preparation. Just another resturant I will add to my never ever again list.

The restaurant appeared to be properly staffed, and I was greeted immediately and had my order taken promptly. I ordered the ribeye steak with eggs and hash browns and requested the steak medium-rare. Unfortunately, it came out closer to medium to almost well-done. The eggs and hash browns were also quite bland and seemed to have very little seasoning. I also noticed that the steak looked more like a sirloin or another cut of beef rather than what I would normally expect from a ribeye. My server, Deneli, was very kind and professional. When I shared my concerns, she offered to have the meal remade and also provided a discount, which I really appreciated. Despite the issues with the food, the restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and the service was attentive. I'm willing to come back and try some of the other items on the menu.

I understand the restaurant was busy, but basic things like utensils are a necessity. I had to track someone down just to get them. Our plates were dropped off, and after that, I never saw my waitress again. I had to wave her down just to ask for a coffee refill, which she never brought. On top of the service issues, the restaurant was extremely uncomfortable. It was hot outside, and there was no AC or if it was on, they definitely needed to turn it up. It's hard to enjoy hot food and coffee when you're already sitting in a hot, uncomfortable restaurant. I initially stopped because I saw a long line and assumed the food must be good. Unfortunately, I quickly realized the line was mostly because the location is so small. I understand there may not be a ton of dining options in Menifee, but I'd much rather drive to Temecula or honestly, even Chula Vista than to come back to this location. The food may be one thing, but the service and overall experience need a lot of improvement. And FYI DO NOT get the fountain lemonade if you're hot and thirsty because apparently there are NO REFILLS. ‍ So now you're sitting in a hot restaurant, sweating, eating hot food, and paying for another drink if you actually want something to drink. Ridiculous. Honestly, the ONLY positive thing about this entire experience was the bus lady. She was actually helpful and attentive, and she is the only reason this place is getting even ONE star from me.

Nice merch, well displayed. The pastry case is extremely inviting and what spoke to me today was the cheese danish with coconut. I swarmed it, maybe you're supposed to take more than three bites? They warmed it up for me and it was delicious. I'm usually a really BIG tipper but when you pay just short of six $$$ dollars for a single pastry these days, I don't see why you should tip when basically all someone has to do is ring it up for you and throw it in a bag.You know what I mean? So lately, for the first time in my life I'm starting to not tip at places like this. I feel a bit guilty, but I am retired. I think the way to do it is to throw a dollar in there every third visit or something, just my feeling. A cumulative tip.Ha! Anyway, the staff is always real pleasant and kind. I'm not one for fancy coffees, but they do look appealing. I've tried their coffee before, but it doesn't really work for me. I prefer that at home. But it's an adorable spot and always has a good amount of nice patrons enjoying themselves. I just overheard a gentleman say to his wife as he was walking out the door: "This tastes better than Starbucks" while sipping one of those fancy triple layered multicolored drinks. There is usually plenty of outdoor seating and easy parking. There is also a bunch of great little shops nearby, including SEES candy and a handful of restaurants, etc. Target, Michaels, HomeGoods, you know the normal Mini-Mall "flif-flof'. It's a very pleasant spot. Look for: "COUNTRYSIDE MARKETPLACE " just off of Newport/Haun Rd near Highway 215. Let me pop back inside and throw a couple of shekels in the "tip jar"! Been coming here since they opened ( which isn't easy ) as I was accustomed to my Starbucks grind and have brand loyalty for the *most part. Better Buzz gives you that feeling of being a local spot w/o the commercial feel. Their pastry choices are the best I've ever come across and is site specific which are transported every morning freshly made from a bakery in San Diego . The Killer Bee is my personal favorites drink as I'm a glutton for caffeine that will coast me through my busy day without crashing. You should try it but fair warning it's not for rookies as it packs a punch! Ashely the manager is the sweetest and always makes you feel like a priority. The patio dining is beautiful, and the prices are reasonable, which has kept us coming back. That said, our most recent visit on Sunday after church was extremely disappointing. We came with a cousin expecting the same great experience we've had before, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We were quoted a 20-30 minute wait and ended up waiting over an hour. Once seated, we ordered right away, but it took more than another hour for our food to arrive. When the food finally came out, the portion sizes seemed noticeably smaller. My husband's order was incorrect, and he didn't receive his meal until after the rest of us had already finished eating. We were also missing a side we had ordered. On top of that, we didn't receive our drinks for at least 30 minutes, and were told the bartender was "flustered." Overall, we left feeling really disappointed and dissatisfied, especially since we've had such positive experiences here in the past. At this point, we'd honestly rather grab something quick from Canyon Lake Market than go through another experience like this.
