Went for breakfast. Solid diner food. Nothing extraordinary, but a nice break from cooking and washing dishes at camp.

The food was excellent. Great location, great view, fun atmosphere, reasonable prices, fantastic portions, & very friendly employees. The only room for improvement was their attention to detail. They did not get a couple things correct with our order and it was not on any sort of obscure request (gave me the wrong size coffee, and forgot to put toppings on our pancakes). Overall great little place. I would definitely eat here again if I am in town. read more

Don't come here for lunch. For the Cobb salad, the chicken tasted as if they heated chicken if the sea (canned chicken). Chips for burgers was slightly stale. Overpriced for meh food. Don't bother. read more

I only give this restaurant 5 stars for its breakfast! We only had the cinnamon rolls since the other stuff in the case was the same stuff we has seen in there since the day before, so we weren't sure how old it could be. But the cinnamon rolls were hot and fresh and best ever read more

Great place to stop in for breakfast before venturing into the park. My son and I got eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast and were quite happy. Limited seating here, but its a friendly atmosphere. A bit high priced but it sure hit the spot! read more

Giving this place 4 stars because they were friendly, service was quick, and we were able to get in and out so we could get on with our day. Food was fine- corned beef hash had real corned beef but not a lot of it- Only open for breakfast right now and no longer has the lunches to go as they are getting ready to shut down for the season. read more

We have come for 5 straight mornings. Everything we have tried has been unreal! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!

So the food wasn't that great. Came in for lunch and was a bit disappointed with the meal after reading so many good reviews. Maybe breakfast is better? My mom ordered the cob salad and asked for it to be tossed. It came out not tossed and when my mom informed the waitress of this her response was, "well you can toss it yourself." I can only think that the average review is four stars because the eating options in Gardiner are so limited. Hey, we're there for the park, not the food, so I didn't expect much. The only decent food in town is the expensive Raven Grill. I'm giving these guys two stars only because they are nice people there, and they try to do well. But the food, wow, it tastes like a ten year old made it. We had burritos that had bland white rice (menu says cilantro rice but there was no evidence whatsoever of cilantro), canned beans, boring chicken, and bottled BBQ sauce that they called salsa. This was the worst food we ate during our stay in Yellowstone. We ate here for lunch one day and were absolutely grossed out. My husband wanted to order fish tacos before noticing that the fish was sitting in water in a warming (cooling?) tray. The rice was gummy, the avocado was old and brownish, and the chicken, like the fish, was sitting in water. We both ended up with salads that were mediocre, at best, and cost us $20! We actually ended up driving down the road for a burger after we left. In short, don't waste your money. read more

For a restaurant in this town, this is definitely 2 thumbs up. When road-tripping or camping, there's always sandwiches and burgers everywhere and I'm tired of that. I got the thai wrap. My friend got the pls faithful and the firehole chipotle. Rating is for breakfast only. There aren't a lot of choices in Gardiner, but for someone who likes to go out for breakfast a lot, this place was really good. It is definitely home cooking, which is comforting. The lady behind the grill made all the meals. My wife ordered pancakes, which are really big and generous in terms of portions (may want to split it with someone) topped with powdered sugar. They were fluffy and buttery. The bacon we got on the side was thick cuts, cooked to perfection. I ordered something called "a hot mess" which was basically biscuits (which looked more like a piece of thick toast, but it was a biscuit in flavor and texture, and overall very yummy) covered with warm gravy, hash browns that was crunchy like they should be, and two eggs of your choice. Way too much food for any normal person to consume. Coffee was served in a ceramic mug, which is a nice touch of home, and someone always came around to check in on you and refill your coffee. As we sat around, we notice a lot of people getting the burritos, which looked good and hearty. Like everything in this part of the world, be prepared to wait, no one is rushed, so just relax for a moment. read more

This place is a family owned and run business. It has great food. It's open 7a-2pm but the breakfast menu is outstanding. The staff is all family and very friendly. You will get full and the staff continually comes around to fill your coffee cup. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. read more

My husband and I ate here in 2017 while visiting the park and returned today because it had been so good then. The pork carnitas breakfast and corned beef hash breakfast were both AMAZING. I haven't had numerous other breakfasts in town, but it would have to be downright magical to surpass Yellowstone Grill. The only downside was they were closed on Monday and we were forced to eat at what ended up being a terrible restaurant. I'm not knocking stars off for that, though, cause everyone needs time off! read more

Had a great breakfast - the special for today 12/9/2016 was carnitas and eggs with verde sauce. There is a great menu but don't pass up the specials. This winter season it was closed for dinner but I wished it had been open, there are no choices in the winter except pizza, subway and the Best Western and a lot of out in the park were talking about the grill being closed! The Mammoth Grill in the park doesn't seem to change their menu - ever. The Yellowstone Grill food is always fresh and reasonably priced. Plan to eat there again when we are back in May. read more

After seeing the disaster that the Grizzly Grille was, (see my review for that bastian of food poisoning) we went here and glad we did. My wife got the french dip which she said was a bit too salty but still good and came with tortilla chips as a side, chips were good too. I had a cheeseburger and fries and they were good too. We sat outside because inside they had the AC cranking so high it was freezing in there, even another family that was eating said they came outside because too cold inside. If we are in the area again, we would probably come back. read more

We loved the hell out of this place - so much so, we breakfasted here the 5 mornings we were in Gardiner. It's within walking distance of most lodging. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting and very clean; the decor interesting and unpretentious - music memorabilia and some gorgeous wildlife photos. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and fast. Try the Eggs Benedict and the Huevos Rancheros - simply excellent. Portions are just right to get you going for a day in YNP. DON'T forget to have a cinnamon roll - just yum! It does get busy (it's a rightfully popular place), so get there early - we shared our table one morning with a couple of ladies we didn't know as we all got there after 7:30 and it was crowded. Nice place with good food. I have bison burger which is great. The apricot salsa is delicious and free. I tried the local beer called salmon fly honey rye and it tastes good. The server is friendly, they also have nice kid menu. AAA+ read more

It was ok, I had a taco salad the meat and lettuce were fresh but really wasn't the best I ever had same for buritto. The service wasn't bad but wasn't great our food all came at different time. Their credit card machine was broken had to pay cash which was fine but would have preferred to go somewhere else some great places around with better views. read more

Stopped here on the way home from Yellowstone. Had the philly cheese steak sandwich. It was nasty I think they used sliced marinated lunch meat. But the biggest reason for a 1 Star was my 8 year old came back from the Bathroom and asked what the tithings were in the corner (Condoms ) the sign said take as many as you like. The old lady (assume the owner) asked how everything was so my wife told her about the condoms . She just laughed and walked away. read more
