Great food. Lucky to find it on Yelp as most other options were not great. Chicken Thai wrap was excellent. Our kids ate bean burrito and grill cheese and both were crazy good (seriously, how'd they make grill cheese so well?). Signage is strange outside--has an ice cream "open" sign, but they don't sell ice cream. Hours are a little strange too as they close at 2 most days. Other places weren't even open at lunch time even though their signs said the should be. Maybe October is hit or miss in this small town. read more

Wow! Just wow! The food was absolutely delicious; I had the Huevos Rancheros Yellowstone. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the salsa was flavorful. I added a little bit of hot sauce to mine and it was a masterpiece of breakfast. And for the price, it's very reasonable compared to the other places around town. They must have been having a bad day. Got there about 1:30 Sunday. Most of the tables were unbussed and dirty dishes everywhere. The floors were filthy. They ask for a gratuity when you pay, so what are you to base that on? A filthy restaurant? The grill cook not wearing latex gloves as he handles your food? The back door hanging open and flys buzzing around? So we ordered a burger and a Reuben with chips. The sandwiches came without chips. "We're out of chips." Really? "You should have ordered French Fries." Don't waste your time and money here. We'll never be back. read more

We went the the local chamber and asked for a good lunch stop preferably owned by s local. This was one of three top choices. It came through for us even though we did not order their big plate specials. We had the Asian and the chicken club salads. Both were fresh, made with as many local veggies as were available at this time of year. The young server from Bulgaria was great fun and the western ambiance along with the locals who were eating hearty and big servings of food made for an enjoyable experience as we sat at big windows looking out at the north entrance to Yellowstone. Delicious home cooked food. I get the impression its a mom and pop shop. Biscuits and gravy were delicious. We also ordered omelets and a couple of breakfast sandwiches. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant kept everything as clean as possible which is something I appreciated. By that I mean they frequently sanitized condiment bottles and tables. This is our favorite place in Gardiner. They are fast and delicious. Our favorite dishes are the corner beef hash, breakfast sandwich, Yellowstone scramble, and pancakes! I would stay away from the Mexican dishes though. I mean come on we are in MT though. We also like the lunch as well! read more

We've eaten here twice during our current visit to Gardiner, and we expect to eat there again before we leave. The space itself is comfortable and inviting, and it offers outdoor seating. The menu is varied and offers something for everyone - so far we've tried the breakfast tacos with bacon, the Mediterranean omelet, and the biscuits and gravy. All were freshly prepared, seasoned perfectly, and were full of fresh ingredients. In addition to the menu items, they offer multiple baked goods ranging from brownies to muffins to cookies to cinnamon rolls to lemon bars. Today we tried a lemon bar and a molasses cookie, and oh my goodness were they worth it. Add all of this to great service, and this place is a definite winner. read more

This is our favorite place in Gardiner. Stumbled upon the restaurant on Thursday evening during open mic night. We ordered the fried green tomato burger (special) and the thai wrap. For dessert, we had cinnamon roll bread pudding. Oh my...soooooooooooo good. We liked everything so much that we returned the next morning for breakfast. That was the real gem. Cinnamon roll french toast, Yellowstone scramble, bottomless coffee and the most beautiful view. The french toast was out of this world. The cinnamon rolls are homemade, battered and griddled to perfection. If you've got a sweet tooth like me you should seriously consider getting it. Or at least get a warmed up cinnamon roll with breakfast or to go as a trail snack. It's that good. To top it all off, the wait staff was the sweetest. Very attentive and personable. The carnitas was finely seasoned, loads of chopped onions, fresh tomatoes, light topping of cheese and green salsa with enough kick to make my mouth happy, but not so much to make me sweat. I could have licked the plate! I looked around at what others were eating and the pancakes made quite an impression. They are plate size, fluffy and look great. This is one of the best restaurants I've been to anywhere. The owner Shalene Darr was also working the floor and helped me figure out something I could eat with my food sensitivities. Then she and the chef made me a fabulous breakfast. The Grill was clean and attractive. I first went in because of the carved wooden bear asleep on the iron railing. It was busy in the morning so it was good to get in ahead of the crowd. I had biscuits which were very good and my wife had the heuvos.
