In the photo is their Crystal Sugar Pork Thigh, and it is huge both in size and flavor. The pork is soft and tender with a rich sweet sauce that really stands out. I have tried this dish before and we actually used the pork as a filling for soft buns with scallions. It was amazing. Another must order for me is the Taiwan style fried chicken. It is honestly one of the best. Crispy, flavorful, and very satisfying. Do not miss the string beans with low salt duck egg as well. The flavor is unique and really good. I really enjoy Taiwanese style cooking. It hits different. The flavors feel cleaner and more balanced, almost like a lighter and healthier take compared to typical Chinese dishes. I came here because my friend highly recommended their squid dish, so I knew I had to order the Three-Cup Squid. I also wanted to try their Chinese water spinach, so we ordered these two dishes to start, just for the two of us. The squid tasted fantastic, with vermicelli at the bottom to absorb all the sauce. However, one thing that bothered me was that the squid innards were still inside, even though the staff said everything is eatable except the hard, plastic-like spinal cord of the squid had been removed. The water spinach was crunchy and flavorful. After that, we ordered one more dish--the pepper salt pork ribs. Unfortunately, they didn't have much flavor and were quite bland. Now, let's get to the good part! Here are the dishes we had tonight: Crab Rangoon: 10/10. Their crab rangoons are tasty with their homemade hot mustard sauce. The flavor of the cream cheese filling is perfect. And they don't skimp on the filling which is a huge plus considering most places barely put any in! Hot & Sour soup: 8/10. Just try it. You won't be disappointed! Taiwanese fried chicken: 10/10! This is a staple everytime we come here. It's crispy, flavorful, and just DELICIOUS! Trust me, this is one of the best dishes here and a must try. Orange chicken: 9/10. It's flavorful and perfect amount of sweetness. The boneless chicken are the perfect bite size. I'm already craving for this dish again. Chicken lo mein: 8/10. I'm picky with lo mein and this one is always cooked the way I like it. Our most recent visit here was the second time for us. The first visit, we went to dinner with friends who told us this was their favorite Chinese restaurant. In fact, they go so often that the staff knows them and chats with them. We enjoyed the food and the company. I didn't take any photos during this visit. The ambiance clearly says "Chinese restaurant" with its decor. Both times, we found the seating to be comfortable and the tables were spacious. We came here without our friends recently on a Saturday. Service is great---friendly and efficient. We each ordered hot and sour soup to start. To drink, we got a pot of jasmine tea. For our main courses, we ordered Ma Po Tofu with pork and Mooshu beef. The food was very well prepared. The hot and sour soup had a generous amount of stock in it and the right amount of heat. The jasmine tea was served hot. The only problem was that eventually we let it sit too long in the pot that it got bitter, which is often a problem with tea. The Ma Po Tofu was excellent---it had heat but not too much. In other words, we were able to enjoy all the flavors in this dish without the spice drowning it out. The Mooshu beef came with 6 pancakes, which we found to be a generous amount. The beef was tender and the veggies were tender crisp. The side of plum sauce added a nice layer of flavor. Overall, a great meal both times we were here. Next time we want Chinese food, this is where we will go! read more

My parents favorite restaurant in the area! Came here on a slow weekend and we were seated immediately. We ordered Sashimi, pipa tofu, crystal sugar pork thigh, and the string beans with salted egg. For the sashimi, my mom wanted fresh fish but had never had it before. The staff was super helpful in letting us know what to order and what everything would come out as. Next came our main meal. The pork thigh was absolutely enormous. Bigger than my head. They helped us cut the behemoth up. Absolutely delicious. The surprise of the meal was the pipa tofu. Super savory and tasty. Never heard of the dish but we were feeling adventurous so went for it. This review is for the correct restaurant . Just ordered tonight, 4 entrees and two large soups. All was good except the Pork Lo Mein had a sour smell and taste to it, so something is rotten! Called the restaurant and they would not refund me but would credit towards my next order. And no, I am not driving back 20mins to potentially get another non-eatable dish. Honestly, why would I come back for more rotten food? So, after some exchanges, I "ate" the $13 lost (cost of lo mein) and will never return. I'm baffled by the manager's unwillingness to refund due to his/her concerns about online ordering fees (ordered via their website) which I estimate to be no more than a few bucks, at best, for a dish of $13. Regardless, May this be their lesson learned...it's not worth loosing a customer and gaining a bad review over few dollars. Being cheap costs more in the long run. read more

The pork and long bean buns were bland and not as good as the last time, the Szechuan crispy beef was sooooooo overcooked and dry that I almost choked chewing it!?!!! The sa cha beef lo mein was waaayyyy too oily and flavorless, orange chicken was very basic, and to top it off-the servers are not friendly at all!! We spent $160 not including tip and the least the staff can do is smile!!!! Being a minority, (not Asian!) doesn't help! There were large groups of people enjoying a late lunch on Saturday (we arrived about 1330). Even though they were busy, we were immediately seated. My hungry husband went about ordering right away: his go tos are crab wontons, chicken and broccoli, and egg drop soup. I thought the shrimp toast and shrimp and pork dumplings sounded great. I also wanted to try the salted duck egg and green beans, but I thought that would be too much food. The appetizers were excellent! I loved how BIG the shrimp toast was and how it wasn't too greasy. I loved the addition of ginger to the shrimp, which added to the flavor of the shrimp toast. The crab wontons were crisp and well filled. Our main courses were giant! The chicken and broccoli had a fantastic sauce, and the broccoli was fresh and crisp. The dumplings were thin but held their filling. The filling was flavorful with giant chunks of shrimp of plenty of veggies. To top off the experience, our server was very friendly. She would always check on us and provide refills of water. Restaurant is tastefully decorated, clean, and not tacky fancy. Large booths available for 6 people. Wish the entree portions were bigger tho; on the plus side, it's a good setting to order an extra dish or two. Selection of green, Jasmine or Oolong teas. The tea preparation is a major effort (compared to other restaurants) as opposed to an afterthought. Truly enjoyed it. Lunch was such a great experience! Thanks to Yelp reviews we decided to try a new Chinese place. They offer lunch specials as well as sushi and a large variety of Taiwanese and Chinese dishes. The pork was steamed just right and loosely stuffed into the handmade skin then pan fried. It was delicious. The spring rolls were hot off the fryer and not greasy. Ask for hot chili sauce, it makes the spring roll super tasty. I ordered the Taiwanese combo rice noodles. I love the noodle to protein ration. I also loved how they sliced the ingredients very small. I think it could have used a bit more beef and chicken. But I am more of a noodle freak so having lots of noodles thrilled me. The lunch special is very generous. It includes a full cup of soup- your choice. My mom had hot and sour and it was bursting with protein and veggies. The lunch special included a small eggroll, large salad, rice and your choice of protein. My mom chose a hunan chicken that was more than enough for 2 sittings. Staff and service was so amazing. Another hidden Asian gem! Was hunting for authentic Taiwanese food during my medical TDY trip and found this place. Parking is not bad as they share a large public parking lot with the other stores here so usually not an issue. Not difficult to find in a plaza slightly past the intersection of Loudoun County Pkwy on Waxpool. Ordered pork w veg dumplings and Taiwan style pot sticker to-go (takeaway). Though it was a 25min drive, the food was still pretty amazing when I got back. The interior decor is modern with a good vibe. Staff was very friendly and the food was made relatively quickly. It was hard to pick what to get from their gigantic menu. I started off with some deliciously crispy Shanghai Spring Rolls. The Shanghai Spring Rolls came with two pieces. They were nice and crispy. They made for a good light starter. For entrees; I got to try their Szechuan Style Chicken and Sesame Style Chicken. These were dinner entrees that came with a side of rice. Both entrees were good. The Sesame Style Chicken had a nice sweet taste to it. The Szechuan Style Chicken had carrots, bell peppers and onions. It was a nice paired with rice as had a little bit of sauce. One of the best things about this restaurant is the complimentary dessert they give. They give a custard dessert, that is so soft and so good! I love how it is filled with a sweet creamy custard. It practically melts in the mouth. It was such a nice treat to end the meal with. Met a friend for lunch yesterday and had a bizarre experience. We enjoyed the food. We both had noodle dishes and they were tasty. Service was also good. But about 50 min after being seated we were approached and asked if everything was okay. We responded that yes everything was good. We were then told they needed the table and we had to leave.
