After seeing all the hype on social media about this place, my friends and I decided to drop by after our escape room. There weren't that many things on the menu besides skewers and some seafood dishes. You order everything via the QR code printed on the menu, and everyone at the table shares the same cart. I thought you could split it at the end when paying like this other restaurant I frequented, but nope. Food didn't take long to come out, but there were only 3 tables around midnight. The skewers are cooked in the back, and they put this small heating unit to keep the skewers warm at the table. Since it was a large party, we didn't know which skewers are which and the servers didn't do a good job of explaining. They just drop the skewers off and then walk away. I had to ask them to tell me which one is which so we don't grab the wrong thing. Skewers are very small yet they cost $4 each??? I never had a good experience with skewer restaurants (besides one), and this is the same. The house special skewers are a little bigger than the other 3 skewers pack but still expensive. The seasoning is okay, nothing special. The only thing I liked was the intestine skewers, but not worth for me to visit again. I ordered a watermelon soju for the group to drink, which was not to my standard. I'm unsure if they put any soju in the watermelon because nobody felt anything. Other places I've been to was much stronger, so I was a little disappointed in that, especially since it was $35. Overall, this place was a disappointment. If it was busy when we came, then I would be more understanding of the service given. However, we were the last group to leave. Also, they said that we ordered some fried buns for $9, but nobody in the group clicked any button so I'm not sure where they got that. AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN BRING THE ITEM OUT!! I understand if someone made a mistake, but to charge us and not bring the food out until we ASKED, that's basically STEALING. They tried to scam us by charging us and not giving us the food at all until I had to ask. My friend who paid was too shy to say anything and was willing to pay for it but that's $10. FOR BREADS btw.

This was a fun and unique experience! We'll definitely return. And when we do, we know better now what to order! Here's our breakdown: PROS: * Unique and different! * Protein friendly * Easy to order * casual vibe and great for double date night! * meat comes cooked but the table top feature keeps it warm! CONS: * kinda loud if you want to talk WHAT WE ATE: * Special beef skewer (5/5!) * cauliflower skewer (5/5!) * Pork Belly skewer (4/5!) * edamame (3/5) * Garlic Oysters (SO SPICY!!! But a solid 3/5) * Spicy Rice Cake (super unique!! 3/5 for me because of texture but flavor was wonderful!

We tried this spot for dinner on a weeknight. The service was quick, friendly, and helpful as we had a lot of questions. Most of the food was shareable, with the portions and flavor being the highlight. Was looking to try the garlic oysters but they weren't available. Will be back to try them next time!

We had a skewer phase, and Yeon-Gil is probably one of the best in town out of all we tried. However, it's pricey, and you can't get full without spending quite a bit. The vibe and service are great, and it's very suitable as a late night snack. When in doubt, get the lamb skewer!

If you are looking for a place to converse and eat with friends, I do not recommend eating here late night when they have karaoke going on... by intoxicated people. It's entirely way too loud and my table of 7 went on a night where the singing was atrocious so it was difficult for us to really enjoy the food. If you do happen to go and want to risk your ear drums popping, I do recommend the lamb skewers; YEON-GIL SPECIAL LAMB and HOUSE LAMB - along with the LAMB RACK which were all delicious and flavorful. Other skewers that were tasty were the TAIWANESE SAUSAGE and HOUSE BEEF TENDON. Sadly the PORK BELLY skewer was my least favorite due to lack of flavor. If you're a veggie person, you have to try their ENOKI MUSHROOMS and if you're a garlic person, try their EGGPLANT which is drenched in it. If you're going with a huge party, just keep in mind you put orders through the QR code on your phone so everyone at the table can put their orders in and it all gets put on the same bill. Mentioning this because it gets a little chaotic keeping track of what was ordered vs what comes out/doesn't come out. Would we come back? Maybe, during opening hours where *hopefully* less or no karaoke would be happening.

I had the best Dan Dan Noodles here and I've been coming back every week. The server Adrian was very friendly.

Wow. wow. wow. This is an interesting dinner spot for sure! From the outside, you would never know the excitement that's going on inside... First of all, we were here for the skewers and man they did not disappoint. We loved that we could scan QR code and put in our order ourselves. We ordered the cauliflower, tendon, and pork belly skewers. Even though we typed non-spicy in the comment section, they still all come out with a little spicy seasoning. I thought it was a little bit of a kick! We also got cucumber salad (this was the bomb with peanuts!), spicy little clams (my favorite), and grilled enoki mushrooms. For the kids that have low tolerance for spice, they loved the fried noodle dish with mushrooms and bok choy. Looks like there is a stage set up for karaoke and next time we intend on doing that! Really fun place! Be sure to look up when you're there!

Food and service was good. I really enjoyed the ambience here, great place for taking photos. Parking was available and restaurant was easy to find. I would come here again. You will need to place orders and pay through your phone. The only reason why I give 4 stars instead of 5 is due to food portion size, it's not very filling for the price you pay but the skewers are fun to eat. My favorite dish was the duck & beef tripe pot but they only give a very small amount for $19. Least favorite was the garlic eggplant. This is usually my favorite dish at these types of skewer restaurants but the one here lacked flavor. What we ordered: 1) Pork Intestine Skewers 2) Cow Throat Skewers 3) Beef Tendon Skewers 4) House Lamb Skewers 5) Garlic Eggplant $9 6) Duck Blood & Beef Tripe in Sichuan Spicy Sauce $19 7) Enoki Mushroom $9

Super cool vibe with a straight up karoke machine and big screen at the front if you want to sing in front of random strangers haha. Currently its byob because they said they don't have their liqour license yet so bring your favorite sojus, beers, liqours and enjoy it with their food you can buy. I actually don't mind byob esp since this is literally right near 99 ranch where you can go buy your beers and sojus or go find a near liqour store like specs or total wine and bring it over. Also seems like a great spot to have a mini party or get together with some friends. Food wise it is a little bit expensive if you are trying to eat till full but if you just want some small bites and mainly drink then this seems like its a good place for it. More bar feel then resturant feel but I did come near dinner time so maybe it is a bit different during the day? Skewers i really enjoyed the squid, fish tofu, beef fried rice, special beef, special lamb, tendon were all good. The spicy rice cakes were not good or not what I was expecting? Tasted like tobasaco sauce or idk definitely not the korean spicy rice cakes that I was expecting but that was my mistake to think that from a Chinese restaurant lol

My daughter and I went to this restaurant for the first time, considering that we like Korean barbecue, and it will definitely be the last time. The thing that is served as kebab has nothing to do with kebab, and it is full of cumin even though we said we did not want spices. The water that was brought was as warm as tap water and the plain rice was cold. Extremely bad service, poor quality food, even the waiter could not speak English. Unfortunately, everyone opens a restaurant for money, and in the end they offer a tip of 18% or more. After paying and not eating the food, we went to the first food franchise and got hamburgers.

Came here with friends to try out this new restaurant. We ordered many items. The cucumber salad, mala beef pot, the beef noodle soup, crawfish and various different skewers. In the skewers, I found the flavor of cumin overwhelming. Especially on the corn, there was a strong flavor of uncooked cumin which made it inedible. Out of the beef, lamb, chicken, and cauliflower skewers, the cauliflower was my favorite. For the seafood boil, I would like if they could clarify that there is a 2lb minimum for any flavor. I wanted to order shrimp and crawfish in various flavors, but because of the restriction, we were only able to try one flavor. The crawfish tasted very good after the sauce had settled down. I enjoyed the woodear mushroom in the mala pot and the noodle soup was refreshing. While I have mixed feelings about the food, the service here could be worked on. We waited for 15 minutes after we were seated until I asked a worker for our server. Throughout the meal we had to constantly ask for our cups to be refilled or to order more food. Overall this place has some good and some bad, but I'm glad I checked it out once. I'm not sure if I'd go again.

If you're wanting to get together to eat and have a couple of drinks with your friends in the Frisco area, this is definitely one of places I'd recommend although my friends and I wasn't interested in their drinks. Not only the food wasn't so not bad but the portion sizes were good and the atmosphere, live (karaoke) singing, is a plus. Not sure if it will be up for the public to sign up and sing and if they have other karaoke language options. The portions size are pretty good for its price. Service for us was basically just the waiters coming around to ask for water refill a few times. Again, we didn't have any drinks. The only down side is the sauces seem to be the same. Such as the octopus dish and the clam dish with noodles. My personal favorite was the jellyfish in vinegar. I was amazed at how much jellyfish was in it. It was also, the most different so I was able to go back to it to change my palettes and continue to eat the other stuff. If you've never had jellyfish before, it's a crunchy texture. Not at all slimy. The oysters in garlic was good as well. Warning- it's about a level 4 spicy if you do eat the chili on top. The crab dish also had plenty of crabs in it. Probably a good 3 whole crabs. Be prepare to get your fingers dirty! Wish they would have gave us crackers (we didn't ask since we had so much food) or kinda cracked the claws for us. The frog legs with tofu in pot was ok. Again the seasoning seemed repetitive. The tofu was too thick and didn't soak up any flavors. We (3 of us ladies, not just me) didn't like the enoki mushrooms. The flavor/seasoning just did not do it for us. And I love mushrooms The skewers that we had were ok. More flavorful and plentiful than expected. We had chicken gizzards, tendons, pork intestines (a must), squid tentacles, squid, lamb, beef and cows throat which was something we haven't had before and it crunchy but nothing amazing to us.

We went here late after a con. The place was actually pretty slow and not crowded. Which was nice but also lame. They had some good music playing which was nice. The beer selection is small but the one i had was good. The waiter was attentive without being a bother. The food was good, hot and delicious. The ramen my friend had was spicy (she doesn't like spicy) but she did say it tasted good aside. The leek/pork dumplings were good. I would have liked a spicy sauce or something (didn't think to ask tho). But overall it was good and I would go back

That all changed and was very noticeable during fathers day and especially this weekend during July 4th! The past few weeks when calling in to check for food availability or how busy it was, Ive noticed the same person answering every single one of my calls that I had to double take and make sure I called the right place! When I mentioned my concern about the massive line wrapped around the building during fathers day, mothers day and this weekend, the same lady named Kayla answered the phone. I was about to leave and she assured me that it would move fast and not to worry and that they had samples to ease some hunger while waiting. Sure enough, she was exactly right! To top it all off, after we got our food and sat down, she actually went above and beyond to come over to our table and check on us just because I had called to thank her for helping me from not leaving to the amazing customer service she provided. I let her know that is very rare now days and not to ever change that! I found out after meeting her that shes about to head out on maternity leave soon and honestly, I'm going to be a little sad when she leaves! She is a massive asset to the Hutchins team and can change the mood just by her smile and friendliness. Not only that, she gave a lot of good recommendations for trying some new foods at Hutchins and every time has been a good call! Give this girl a raise!! I wish Kayla the absolute best and I'll definitely be looking out for her when she gets back! Our server, I believe her name is Cynthia, was also fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed at the table. Everything was constantly being cleaned, from tables to fresh replacement containers so no desserts or food were ever out, or just looking bad. The peach cobbler was average. The banana cream pie (like my mom used to make) is whipped but full, the wafers are not over soggy, even on the bottom!! They rapidly replace so you get both, fresh. No other bbq beats this dessert! Mac and cheese, amazing and not heavy or gooey like most places... so clean, flavorful. The food was good, if not the greatest BBQ I've ever had, but the overall experience was much fun. The restaurant is in the form of a large barn with ample seating and a walk-through line where you can pick out your meat and then any sides and drinks you'd like. I enjoyed having the "conundrum" of trying to figure out which of the meats to try as they stare at you from the smoker, all saying, "Pick me!" My first visit to any BBQ place is nearly always to try the pulled pork, figuring that if they can't get that right, nothing else is likely all that good. That's not always true, but since pulled pork is one of my favorites, it's a good approach anyway. :) I took my platter laden with an abundant amount of pulled pork and then selected corn on the cob, cole slaw, a slice of custard pie, and a sweet tea. After paying, I made my way into the main dining area and selected a high-top wooden table along the wall that was, shall we say, very awkward to sit at based on how the stationary stool was positioned in conjunction with the table, so I moved to a nearby regular table that was just fine. There's plenty of outdoor seating, but based on the temperature that day, I chose to stay inside. Digging in, I found the pulled pork to be good, but it was a little dry and salty. The standard house BBQ sauce was good, though, and the corn on the cob was very nice. The cole slaw was about what you'd expect, and the custard pie was tasty, even if it wasn't the best I'd ever had. The sweet tea was excellent. What I probably loved most, though, was eating all this in that environment, with the Texas-American paraphernalia hanging on the walls and a radio station playing nothing but 80s and 90s country music over the speakers--the years when I loved country the most. I wanted a BBQ experience as big as Texas while I was here, and I got that. For that reason, my visit to Hard Eight was a hit, and I will happily visit again on a future trip.

Lol We laughed and said yeah but we should get the rest of our food no? they ended up leaving. About 10 minutes later another waiter comes and asked if the manager had spoken to us. Nope just a waiter. So he goes to get him. He comes back 5 minutes later cause the manager was helping to cook and would be with us soon. So we def in well over an hour now. Manager finally comes and is the most apologetic he could possibly be. Told us straight up our other food was never made and he would make it right now. And he would comp our meal. So that was already a really good turnaround. But when he brings the food out he also brought us a rack of pork ribs because the initial employee we talked to told him about us wanting to try the pork ribs another time and he just gave us some. Could really not have asked him to have done more to make up for everything. That alone will make me return to this location a lot. Food was fine but their courteousness and willingness to make the situation right and go beyond earned a customer for life.

My sister and I came here for my birthday lunch and from the first bite I was in heaven! From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left the service and hospitality was so welcoming and amazing. You just felt like you were visiting your tia's and your primos. We were given sample cups for the teas (which were all so delicious it took me forever to decide!) We ordered to patacon with garlic pulled pork and the cachapa with the braised beef. Not a single dish lacked flavor, moisture, layers of ingredients, nothing! They checked ALL the boxes! The garlic rice was so good, so simple, so amazing. And that jalapeño citrus slaw was creamy, zesty, crunchy, fabulous. These are the type of flavors you never forget, and always desire. Stick to your ribs, embed in your memories, visit you in your dreams, type of flavors. LOL I will ABSOLUTELY be back EVERY time I'm in Dallas!

If you have family coming for the World Cup, THIS is the place to go for the best dang BBQ in DFW area if not Texas. You want brisket? Their fatty brisket is smoked to perfection and just falls apart in your mouth. I'm always a turkey gal, and the turkey here has that nice sweet wood-smoke flavor but oh so tender. To me, the clear winner is the Mac & Cheese with pork Burnt tips. Trust me when I say, words can't describe this heavenly taste and you need to try it for yourself. We got to talk to Tim, the owner and he is just so lovely. You can see how much pride(justified) he takes in his food. I can't wait to go through the entire menu.

I have came here with family and friends visiting, I have ordered this for takeout countless times. Rodeo Goat is where it's at I'll be talking about the 2 most recent burgers I tried - The brisket beef attacked my arteries in the best way - the brisket melts in your mouth (overshadows the beef though). This is the meatiest burger I've ever had from here. I have a bit of a sweet tooth so the sugar bomb is the most frequently ordered burger for me (maybe 10+ times?). I really enjoy the arugula mixed in with grilled peaches, a bit of jam and the party itself. I love this burger and I hope it never leaves the menu. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive - points to them!

Rodeo Goat seems more of a schtick theme. We started with the "Steaming Pile," which is basically characterized as bacon-cheese tots with additional goat cheese & a sunny side up egg. The egg was properly cooked. The portion was small for $10. It's really not a shareable size for more than two light eaters. There was zero hint of truffle oil. The Cowboy Cobb salad was a healthy portion, and all was good except for two things: the "jalapeño croutons" were not crispy in any way - they were like what would happen if a mushy hush puppy and tempura batter had a love child and it wrapped itself around an uncivilized jalapeño trying to socially climb. The second was that the burger patty had no cheese (why bother?) & I know it was an add-on. I ordered the Inspector Clousseau. Not much of a smash on the over-cooked patties. And, yes, I know what to expect from smash burger, but again, these patties were two the thickness of anything I've ever seen called a smash burger. More importantly, the pan sauce poured over the entire plate was cold and congealed. Generally, the flavor was okay. The service was nice, but at premium prices, I'm looking for elevated effort from the kitchen.

Each plate comes with the choice of two sides, and we both got coleslaw and potato salad. The ribs here were surprisingly very tender and flavorful, while the brisket also had the perfect mix of lean and fat. They also make their dinner rolls fresh in-house, so every 20-30 minutes or so they'll come around with a basket of fresh rolls and offer them to people. For the price, you're getting a solid deal. Good meat, multiple sides, and unlimited fresh dinner rolls. On top of that, they give out BOGO free coupons often, so then the price comes down to $12/person. The price for taste here is unbeatable and I think that deserves a five star alone for that. Once they stop making those coupons, it'll probably go down to a four star. Overall, I would recommend this place for casual amazing value BBQ.

The hot, fresh bread rolls were easily the highlight. The restaurant was clean, which always helps the experience feel a bit better. Service was fine, just a bit rushed, like they were trying to keep things moving along. Portions are decent, sides are okay, and prices are what you'd expect for BBQ. Overall, it's a solid experience, but with so much strong BBQ competition nearby, it doesn't quite stand out. Still a good, dependable option.

We got the baby octopus bibimbap with the steamed egg and bulgogi bibimbap with the tofu soup. The banchan was also really fresh and the kimchi really stood out. The portions were huge! I love that the bibimbap comes out on a flat sizzling pan to maximize the crunchy rice you get from it. The baby octopus was delicious and had great flavor. The steamed egg had a spongy texture which and was also really flavorful. The tofu soup was not as thick as some that you might get but it had a really good savory flavor that you can taste in the soup. It was overall a real great experience and a great value if you're going at lunch. Definitely adding to our regular rotation.

Even before the star of the meal appeared, kudos to the smattering of banchan that came out: sprouts, cucumber kimchi, sweet potato, mini meat patties, kimchi, steamed egg, tofu soup, salad greens seasoned, cheese + corn... I hope I didn't miss any! The mushroom bibimbap is flavorful! We've never had this particular bibimbap before and man it goes well with the meat. Beef rib was tender and nice. We wanted it a bit rare :) and it was delish! Dipping sauce was nice but honestly doesn't need it! Oh and the grilled mushroom is good with it. Pork belly was the star of the meal. Had it with 2 week aged grilled kimchi (so special!!) and we got samjang with it, yummm. We were stuffed to the rim and had to take a little box of leftovers home. We were so touched with a little desert rice drink at the end, really rounded out the meal and experience all together. A+ for the service. Amazing job and everything grilled to perfection.
