Tried out this restaurant which is under new ownership! The food was absolutely amazing! I had the beef Lula kabob and my girlfriend had the Halal Chicken Kabab... The chicken was so tender! Everything was full of flavor. The couple that owns the restaurant were so sweet and accommodating! I recommend this place to anyone who likes to try new places and or Mediterranean food. Because it is under new ownership they are still working out the kinks so at this time it is cash only ... Keep that in mind ! Enjoy! read more

Ormar, it is never a good idea to lie to Yelp readers. My husband and I were there the evening you showed up to use the bathroom. You did NOT order or eat anything. You only came in and went into the bathroom which is supposed to be only used by customers. You did not come out for over 30 minutes. The owner at first, inquired by knocking on the door to see if you were alright. You replied but did not come out. After multiple attempts asking you to come out, he finally had to tell you he would have to call for help if you did not come out. After hearing that, only then did you come out. No one should occupy the only restroom in a small restaurant for that long. So please don't disgrace yourself by lying about the circumstances of the incident. read more

well, I came to work for a week here in Fresno, and I found this little restaurant very appealing so I went in, the place is very clean and the manager was very friendly, I order the special $8.99 and wasn't expecting much but oh boy what a surprise! I got a lots of very good quality and very tasty food for under $10 bucks, to make long story short I end up eating in this place 3 days in a row! to bad I have to go back home but the least I can do is to leave a good review of this restaurant, I highly recommend it! read more

Absolutely, bar none, the best food/value on the planet!!!!!! Food is fast, fresh, homemade and insanely delicious. The owner and the cook come and talk to you, offer you Armenian wine and actually know your name when you go back. It's crazy! I wanna put it on Diners/Drives with Guy Fieri. This evening my husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time. It was outstanding! The food was delicious. I had the chicken kabob with the chicken rice soup and he had the vegetarian plate also with the chicken rice soup. We had read that the salad was not that great so we were sure to order soup instead and it was exceptional. The portions were perfect. Not excessive and not too small. Service was excellent. The place was very well decorated and cute. To counter other reviewers comments: the tables were small, but not an issue. The only thing we were served on a plastic plate was the hummus. Everything else was served on elegant plates. The customer who commented about the conversation with the staff needs to realize that at authentic ethnic restaurants language is often somewhat of a barrier. Also, the noise level was not loud at all. Fresno needs more places like this! We will definitely be going back! read more

The food is amazing! I dined their for the first time tonight with my parents who are regulars. Each entree comes with a sampler appetizers plate including tabouli, hummus, tzatziki, a grape leaf, and slaw. The chicken was moist and there's this spice that kicks up the pilaf and chicken. Good was amazing! I didn't realize that their credit card machine was down, and they were only accepting cash. The owner was so nice and told me to just take my food anyways, and come back another day to pay it. I went to an ATM, and came right back to pay him. So I just want to say that this place is absolutely incredible. It started off a little dull, there was no one in there, no music, and it seemed as if we walked in to the wrong place. The service was weird but not bad. The guy that was there, greeted us, served us, and I believe made the food as well. He was probably the owner as well. He was a little on the colder side as a personality. Not much of a talker but made sure to check on us, got us everything in a timely manner, and it was definitely not bad service. But that's not why we were there. The FOOD! The food was incredible and you could tell that everything was home made. The hummus was spiced and tasted wonderful. The rice pilaf was excellent. The salad seemed a little dull with just lettuce and cucumber but the vinaigrette was nothing short of excellent. Had a little spice and made the salad that looked bad, wonderful. But the chicken.... Wow! It was moist, not over spiced, and the perfect portions. I highly recommend this place. read more

This was the tastiest lamb (shish-kebab) I've had as long as I can remember, lula-kebab was delicious as well. Salads were simple, but fresh and delicious (they have some secret dressing), sides - bulgur wheat and rice pilaf were yummy, vegetable soup (included with the course) was the only bland part, a pity they didn't have borscht that night. We asked for dessert, and they just gave us one on the house. Service - outstanding (more pita and lemon the moment we run out), both owners waited on us, there wasn't anybody else in the place on Friday night. Why? Maybe it looks more upscale and expensive than it is - they'd get more traffic if they just posted the menu outside (and fixed the neon sign, which now advertises Y...N restaurant), those prices are very very reasonable for the service, quality and freshness you get. Also when we were there, credit card machine didn't work, make sure to bring some cash just in case. Not all the menu items were available, understandable given the little traffic they get. Still everything is more than made up for by the great food and great owners who clearly put their soul into their work. read more

I discovered this gem through dealsaver and learned that they had just reopened the restaurant after a change in ownership. My son and I decided to go for dinner and were curious to see if the food was any good. Needless to say, we were blown away with the taste, quality, and price of the food! Since they just opened, they currently have two options that include either beef lula or chicken kebab. At just $8.99, price is the same for lunch or dinner, every individual gets a separate appetizer plate with stuffed grape leaves, cucumber salad, hummus and pita, kalamata olives, pickled veggies, and tabbouleh, your entree that includes your meat, a grilled tomato, a grilled pepper, and a healthy portion of either rice pilaf or bulgar, and a drink. As if the sheer amount of food for the price wasn't enough, the taste is phenomenal. The depth of flavors that we experienced within every food item that we tried was indescribable. Essentially, there was not one food item that lacked in flavor. They also have a garlic sauce and a BBQ sauce that are out of this world! The owners are very accommodating, kind, and attentive. I rarely write reviews on restaurants; however, after eating at Yerevan, I felt compelled because this place is truly something special and has qualities that are sometimes a rarity in today's times. I cannot wait until their full menu comes out, which I was told would be soon. With flavorful food, abundant portions, good pricing, clean environment, and very kind service, you can't go wrong!
