My longtime mechanic had retired, and I wasn't sure where to go next until I discovered D&G Auto Repair on Yelp! In August 2025, I brought my car in for brake service (pads and rotors replacement). From the very beginning, I felt I was in good hands. Paulo, the manager, responded to my Yelp inquiry almost immediately. He was professional, kind, and attentive. He listened carefully to my concerns and explained everything in a clear, respectful way, something I truly appreciate. I felt a strong sense of trust that he genuinely cared about my car and my safety. When I arrived at the shop, Paulo was just as professional and kind in person. He made me feel confident in my choice to use to D&G Auto Repair. After I left my car, he followed up via text with an estimated bill before starting any work, which gave me peace of mind and control over the process. The shop itself is small but clearly run by expert technicians, and the waiting room is clean and comfortable, a nice bonus! I returned yesterday with a question about a noise I'd heard. Tony, one of the technicians, came out and personally walked around my car with me. He pointed out how clean it looked and even asked about repairs I had done elsewhere. He gave me a mini lesson on body repair which was surprisingly enlightening. He then gave me directions to the nearest Auto Parts store and Car Wash. That kind of extra care is rare and so appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend D&G Auto Repair, especially for women who are looking for a respectful, honest, and trustworthy place to bring their vehicles. I'll definitely be back!

On the next day I run out of washer fluid driving on highway and later found oil spill on my driveway. Two days later I returned to this facility requesting to check root cause of oil spill and was told that it's "normal" leak, because some drain oil trapped inside the subframe. So we get to Tony's, and we're told that they're very busy and they can't look at our car right away, as there were two customers ahead of us. They said to leave the car and to call back in 2 hrs. We very cautiously left the car, and went to walk around town and have breakfast. In exactly 2 hrs, Tony called us and said our car was ready! He said come back and we'll discuss what the problem with the car is. We braced ourselves for what it would cost to repair the car. We also braced ourselves for the possible song and dance about what the problem was. Well....imagine our surprise when Tony told us that the problem is NOT an emergency, and didn't need to be taken care of right away. He told us exactly what was wrong, how much the parts would cost, and how much it would cost to get fixed. He gave us the ok to drive back to NY, and advised us to see our own mechanic whenever we got home. What?!?! As out-of-towners, we're not going to get ripped off?!?! Not only did we NOT get ripped off, Tony said there is NO CHARGE for the diagnosics! Now THAT is definitely 5 Star worthy!! We appreciate Tony's honestly and kindness so much. What a nice surprise. To make a long story very short, it turned out when the car needed a new battery up at school (in VT, and the only shop in town was the Honda Dealership), they did not put the battery holder back on and the long bolt that holds the battery fell over and prevented the shifter to fully engage second gear. UGH!!! This is from the dealership, no less!! Drove in this morning, a nice guy held the door open for me when I went into the office to say that I needed help and felt pretty stupid. Another very nice guy followed me outside, popped the new blades on in a few seconds and didn't make me feel stupid at all.
