It was good but not raving good. I got the lamb massaman curry and some roti. Everything I got tasted great but the portions were rather small for the price unfortunately. Still good quality though.

This spot has been various iterations in Seattle's Phinney Ridge neighborhood, close to Green Lake and Woodland Park Zoo. It seems Thai food is ubiquitous, but I wanted to know what Southern Thai comprised and it was getting a lot of social media attention. So The Homie and I stopped in on 9/18/25. I really like the interior transformation, nice colors, textures, overall decor. The bar, counter seating and flat screens remained but blended in nicely. There is also the ability to peep into the open kitchen and dumpling prep area. Very polished wait staff and kitchen crew, no surprise since they are associated with long time Ballard restaurants, Pestle Rock and Sen Noodle Bar. We ordered Muu Gho, Lamb Curry (massaman), Hokkien Mee, and Classic Sweet Roti. The Homie also had a Thai ice lemon tea. I enjoyed the bold flavors of the dishes we tried. Definitely one has to appreciate the funk aspect from spice combos, fresh seafood, and thicker assertive curries. Great melding of Thai, Chinese, Indonesian, and Malaysian flavors. Definitely recommended!

I'm Thai so I always have high expectations for Thai restaurants. But this place I would give 10 out of 5 stars if I could. I don't see much Southern Thai food in the area, so this is new and exciting. They accommodated our 6-person reservation. The portions are on the smaller side, which let us try many dishes. I can say everything we tried was really delicious and authentic. The main highlight was MUU KHO. We had to order it twice. The spiciness level isn't really at the level of southern food you'd find in Thailand, but I understand why. Myself, from central Thailand, cannot handle the real southern spiciness either, so this was perfect for us. Service was great and very attentive. There are many other dishes we didn't try, and we will definitely come back.

Food was bursting and flavor and so incredibly delicious! A little bit on the pricier end for Thai, but quality of food matches. Thai teas were crispy and sweet as well. We loved the beef bhuna with fragrant rice and the Hokkien Mee (kinda resembles Chinese lo mein). Roti sauce was amazing as well. The one thing is the staff check in on you very very frequently, but are friendly and attentive.

I love southern Thai food because of how similar it is to Malaysian cuisine. Every dish we ordered was delicious! The owners of Roy are sharing their passion for their cuisine and you can taste it in their dishes. The staff were so incredibly nice to us, answered all of our questions, and recommended their favorite dishes. Trust their recommendations! Would absolutely return again!

I am amazed by the lamb curry bowl. It is not your typical curry. The meat is perfectly balanced with the spices and the brown rice is the best I've had in this area. The complementary soup is delicious and tastes like it's been simmering for hours. The portion sizes are generous, and I ended up taking some home. The service is exceptional, and they have plenty of seating available. Their menu features many unique dishes, and I can't wait to come back to try more.

Saw an article in the Seattle Times about this place and decided to go with my co-workers. It was easy to make reservations and we went on a Thursday evening. We were the first party there but it definitely got busy as the evening went on. The wait staff was very attentive and very friendly, coming back to check on us enough but not overwhelmingly so. The flavors were all really good along with the portion size. Street parking was pretty easy as well. I'd come back here again if I'm in Seattle and in the area.

One of the best Thai restaurants in Seattle! Very authentic cuisine and even better customer service. Every time I go here I feel like I'm part of their family. I appreciate the unique dishes that you can't get elsewhere. Imagine southern hospitality but in Seattle! My favorite was the braised beef belly! Good hint of sweetness and savoriness. The roti bread was perfect in chewiness and flavor. The spicy dish we got had a powerful kick of spice. The curry dumplings puffs were so good, I could eat the breading by itself. The tea was very refreshing and good to clean the palate after a meal. The fried pineapple was unique and tasty! I highly recommend and would come back!

The food was amazing! We tried a bunch of different dishes they all equally delicious. We tried their Lamb Curry Bowl, Khua Kling, Hokkien Mee Chicken, Hat Yai Plate, Roy's Khao Yum & Fried Pineapple for dessert. I even got to meet the owner Pete. He was so friendly and bubbly I just love his attitude and such a wonderful host and owner. His smile is very infectious. He made the dining experience so much better. Also I got to meet his Mom who walks around to say Hi to everyone & his nice Sister who was the main Chef and her cooking is top notch. I highly recommend this restaurant. The ambience is very welcoming. The staff and everyone that works there are just as lovely.

First time trying Southern Thai cuisine and we were blown away! The food here is so good! We went during lunch so we could take advantage of their lunch specials...and there were so many items to choose from. I highly recommend the Hat Yai Plate, Lamb Curry Bowl, and Khua Kling. Everything was delicious. The staff were so friendly and welcoming! They even took the time to explain the dishes in detail. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood!

Some of the BEST food in Seattle. Got seated right away and the food and drinks got here so fast. The food is genuinely some of the best I've ever had such hidden gem more people need to come here! I recommend the Lamb curry the staff is also so kind

Such a pleasant restaurant to eat at. This was my first time eating Thai food and it was a yummy experience. The employees were really welcoming.

This is their phad Thai Chaiya, so delicious and loved all the peanuts!

We started with a Lilikoi Margarita and Ginger Martini as well as Fresh Garden Rolls, which were quite generous in size (4 large pieces) and very good. Drinks were very good! We enjoyed Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao. Pad Thai is a staple and was good, but if you want something that has a ton of flavor and a nice mix of noodles and veggies, check out their drunken noodle dish Pad Kee Mao. Appreciate you can customize heat level as well. Overall the vibe in this place is awesome! We had hoped to sit outside, but didn't make reservations, so were sat in the back dining area. It was very hot back there - not sure that is an everyday type thing, but next time I go I would wait for a different part of the restaurant than sit there. Service was super quick and attentive!

I will say, they were playing insane music on a Monday at 4:30pm. It was just screeching EDM- so eclectic that Shazam had no idea what was going on. Made it hard to carry a conversation. Also, whenever it is someone's birthday, they do a loud performance that disrupts the entire restaurant. Fun for a weekend for sure, but not my vibe for a Monday happy hour. Always love their fresh rolls! Big and filled to the brim with goodness. Their peanut sauce is great too, though we noticed that the peanut sauce that came with the satay was much spicier. The drinks are great too. Lots of fun concoctions. I got the lilikoi margarita and was very happy with it. Our waiter was attentive but really didn't know how to use their POS system and we were there trying to pay for a while since he could not figure it out. If you want amazing comfort food, get takeout, if you like the party vibe, go in.

It is one of the…read morebest Thai restaurants in Seattle and is certified as Thai Select which certifies its Thai authenticity. They have locations both in Downtown Seattle and Greenlake, but I have only been to their Downtown Seattle location which has a beautiful view of the Puget Sound. The atmosphere is dark, trendy, and modern- perfect for a date night or nice evening out. While they are a white table cloth, sit-down restaurant, you can dress casually or dress up a bit - both are completely acceptable. This most recent visit I ordered the COCONUT PANANG CURRY with chicken ($25.95) and my friend ordered her favorite dish, SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE ($28.95). On a past visit, I've had their CLAY POT SHRIMP & GLASS NOODLES (KOONG OB WOONSEN) ($27.95) which was absolutely fantastic and has had me hooked on Pad Woonsen ever since! I saw the COCONUT PANANG CURRY recently in my Instagram feed and knew I had to get it. It is served in a whole coconut (yes a real, fresh coconut!) and comes with a champagne flute of fresh coconut juice from the coconut they hollowed out and a side of Jasmine rice. The curry was rich, flavorful, and full of Thai basil and peppers. The coconut juice was light and refreshing and a great contrast to the thick curry. The SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE (which I've sampled before), is gigantic, aromatic, and served with a giant grilled garlic butter fillet of salmon on top. The salmon is extremely moist, oily, and bursting with flavor. The rice is fragrant and has garlic paste, red bell pepper, carrots, and green onion. If you're looking for a tasty and protein-packed meal, this is the dish! Parking is honestly tough in this area as it's located on 1st. They have limited street parking and a few paid parking garage options around. I recommend light railing or Ubering here if you're not already in the downtown Seattle area. Service is always great and we always get our food quickly, no matter how crowded they are. The staff also take the time to check up on your table during your meal. Overall: 5/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

The place is gorgeous, especially the patio, and the staff were absolute pros at wrangling us to a table. The meal was a hit across the board: my husband's tofu curry and my daughter's drunken noodles and rolls were all fantastic. My fresh tofu soup was admittedly a bit "Zen" (read: plain), but I'm a fan of that understated vibe. The real star, though? The black rice pudding. It was so good I actually stopped to admire the decorative bowl it came in--a sign of a truly elite dessert. My son, however, ordered the fried chicken and was thrown into a brief existential crisis when it arrived with a sweet sauce. He was fully prepared for a savory-crunchy showdown, and the menu wording clearly didn't get the memo. He's still recovering, but the rest of us left very happy.

My boyfriend thought the sauce that came with the calamari was too spicy for his liking but for me it was super sweet and paired perfectly with the calamari. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we were looking forward to the bold flavors we've come to love. The visit started off a bit oddly. The front desk server, Tar, asked to see my wife's ID--even though she's 36 years old and we weren't seated in the bar area. It felt inconsistent, especially since younger guests nearby weren't asked, and it's something we've never experienced at their other locations. Unfortunately, moments like that made us feel singled out, and honestly it sometimes feels like they tend to pick on Asians, whether intentional or not. That feeling alone made the experience uncomfortable and will likely make this our last visit to this location. That said, the table service was excellent. Moo took great care of us, and Cece from the bar was attentive and kept our water filled throughout the meal. Unfortunately, there were a few moments that took away from the experience. While I was taking photos of our dishes, a young staff member alongside Tar appeared to be giggling and mocking me, which made things uncomfortable. It may not have been intentional, but it didn't feel professional and only added to the awkward atmosphere we already felt. Food-wise, there were some inconsistencies. The chicken didn't taste as good as we remember, and several plates had visible fingerprints, which was off-putting. The galvanized metal plates also gave off a slightly unrefined feel--more like cafeteria-style serving ware. Additionally, the sticky rice, which is usually presented in a traditional bamboo basket, was served in a Ziploc bag, which felt like a downgrade in presentation. On a positive note, the papaya salad and pad Thai were still very good and delivered the flavors we expect. We'll continue supporting Isarn, but we'll likely return to the Kirkland or Lynnwood locations next time. Sadly, after this experience, this Queen Anne visit will probably be our last.
