I was so hungry and walked away satisfied after a meal of vegetarian momos, a vegetarian curry, naan, and chai. The setting is beautiful, and the service was unhurried. The momos were good--there were six, which is a good amount to share with one other person. They are verdant and come with two flavorful sauces. The curry was flavorful with spices, not too oily, and vegetables not overcooked. I sopped up every bit of remaining sauce with the naan. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a free refill on the chai.

The atmosphere is pleasing with rich smells if delicious food in the air

Chicken tikka, rice, and bread. Almost $40! Chicken Tika was mostly sauce, with six cubes of chicken. Gobbled most of it up in 15 minutes. Feels a little expensive these days. They have definitely cut back on meat portions. Gotta save food costs, never mind value. People will forget over time how much more they used to get. I just looked back at the pictures in here and you can see the difference actually over years.

Loved this restaurant in Glen Ellen. The food was exceptional. We ordered the Groban lamb curry, garlic cilantro naan, and prawn biriyani. All were so good. Naan was the best we've ever had. Nice service. Quaint atmosphere. Highly recommend.

My previous review was in January 2010. Was pleased then. 14 years later my meal was every bit as tasty and satisfying. Came with family tonight and had 7 different dishes to share. Everything made us all happy. Prices are very reasonable. Probably the best value meal in Glen Ellen. If you love Indian food , you will love this place.

I've never had Nepalese food before but I am a huge fan of Indian food in general. Sadly, my little town of Paso Robles does not have any Indian food and I'm told there is nothing really decent in the surrounding areas. I often use my travel as opportunity to eat the things I miss (decent Chinese, Japanese and Indian, to name just a few). After a great tasting at Schermeister next door, we couldn't help but to smell the delicious aromas coming from around the corner. We were pretty hungry as it was late lunch time. We ordered the Yeti Special Chicken (the "mint" sauce was super subtle but delicious), the prawn biryani, the chicken curry and the garlic naan. If I had access to a fridge and microwave at the my airBnb, I probably would have ordered more. Everything was excellent, and just a little different from your typical Indian food. For example, the biryani had a kind of gravy on it that I've never had before. The naan was the most beautiful one I've ever had. We love Glen Ellen and prefer to stay there when in Napa/Sonoma. I will absolutely make a point of going to Yeti every single time I'm in the area. Absolutely fantastic!

Back at the Yeti today. They still have their outdoor seating available and it was lovely sitting outside to enjoy a meal. We got the olive nan- excellent. Samosas- excellent. Saag Ghosht- excellent. Okra dish- very good. Rice- uncooked. When we notified our server that our 2 orders of rice were undercooked, she didn't seem to believe us. She seemed to give me the sense that they couldn't/ wouldn't do anything about it and she just left. A little bit later she came back with more rice. But at that point our meals were cold. We never received an apology and they seemed to ignore our table for the rest of the meal. So overall, the food is delicious, but the service levels are subpar at best.

Lamb curry (messy plate because I had already dug into it), Garlic naan, and okra.

The most outstanding food. First, at the recommendation of our server, we tried the Momo. Juicy and full of flavor. For dinner, we had tandoori salmon, curried lamb shank, garlic naan, an okra dish, and rice. Everything was amazing. My favorite was the momo and salmon. My partner's was the momo and lamb. We sat outside under beautiful green trees. The service was perfect. Thank you for an exceptional anniversary dinner.

The Yeti Restaurant is a restaurant in The Mill. I adore the location. The food is delicious. Our favorite dish was the chicken tikka mesala. We tried both the garlic naan and honey butter naan. The service was treat. We were treated like family. The noise level was medium. We webt for dinner and the restaurant filled up quickly. If you want to take a pretty drive and enjoy a delicious authentic dinner, Yeti Restaurant is worth it.

My girlfriend and I are visiting Sonoma for the weekend so we decided to stop by here for dinner last night. When we arrived , we were promptly seated - we opted for outdoor seating. There were a decent amount of people there but still many tables available indoors and outdoors. For our meal we ordered an order of veggie momo , the saag paneer, the Chana pine, an olive basil Naan , and some rice. We also shared a Mango Lassi The momos we got were very solid - while the wrapping was a little flimsy , the interior was fresh and seasoned well. The tamarind and mint chutney were a nice addition as well. The olive and basil Naan was a highlight - it was fluffy and chewy and the topping was almost like pesto(?) It was a very unique flavor that worked really well with the two curries. Speaking of the curries - the saag paneer was definitely a solid choice and a must get. The greens they use were earthy and savory and the curry itself was perfect. My only complaint is that the the paneer to curry ratio was not great... we had maybe six pieces of paneer in our curry The chana was unfortunately a low light for me. The curry lacked a sort of oomph in flavor and the worst part was chickpeas didn't seem cooked through - they were brittle and grainy. Service was friendly , and the ambiance was quite nice (the Jack London Village marketplace is very cool - would visit again) While our overall experience was good , I think there was still something missing (no wow factor). With that being said, if you're looking for some quality Nepali/ Indian food in Napa you can't go wrong visiting here. 3.33/5

Who knew wine country and cuisine from the Southern Asia region could go so well together? Tucked away in the woods and vineyards that make up Glen Ellen, California resides a quaint complex called the Jack London Village that houses business restaurants, shops and wine tasting rooms situated over a serene creek, and one of those businesses is Yeti Restaurant, which combines the flavors and cuisine of India and Nepal into one destination for lovers of both exotic cuisine and affordably priced meals. What brought a friend and I here on a recent weekend afternoon was we wanted to enjoy a quick lunch after a wine tasting at a nearby winery in Glen Ellen. When searching for places to dine for lunch nearby there aren't many options around so my friend suggested Yeti Restaurant after one of her friends said they used to come here multiple times as they loved it so much, and after enjoying our shared lunchtime meal, we could easily see why. Arriving without reservations, we had the option of sitting outside on their patio that overlooks the creek, and inside with their open-kitchen and bar overlooking their patio. We opted to sit inside as it was a bit chilly outside and with the smells from the kitchen emanating throughout, it made for the perfect setting. The menu at Yeti Restaurant is separated into categories including Appetizers, Soup, Salad, Seafood Delicacies, Exquisite Chicken Curries, Fragrant Lamb Curries, Naan, Accompaniments, and Beverages. With names like that you can't go wrong with what you choose from their menu. We decided to split our meal and so we ordered from their Appetizer menu their Samosas, which were two homemade triangular pastries filled with potatoes and green peas lightly spiced with garlic ginger and cumin, and served with a red cabbage and carrot garnish. For our entrée, we decided to split a serving of their Chicken Curry which is cooked with tomatoes, onions, chili, mustard seeds and fresh curry leaves. To go with our meal we ordered a side of steamed rice and an order of their Olive Basil Naan, which is their traditional leavened bread baked to order in a tandoor. The samosas came out first and they were two perfectly deep-fried triangles that were piping hot upon being cut open with a fork and knife which was tempered once we added their sweet tamarind sauce and tangy mint chutney sauce. Then our entree, rice and bread were all brought out at once with everything tasting perfectly when combined together. The highlight of our meal had to have been their Naan bread, as we had originally assumed it would be sliced Naan bread, but it was more like its own pizza bread, ready to be sliced on its own and when paired with the extra curry sauce from our entrée, it tasted so authentic thanks to the flavor and preparation techniques. Our chicken curry was a solid dish when paired with basmati rice served its goal in filling our bellies. It was such a solid meal with two plus courses that our final bill was a little over 34 dollars before gratuity was added in, which was more than reasonable. Knowing that Yeti Restaurant is here ready to satiate the appetites of locals and out-of-towners alike, especially when spending a day tasting wine at the many wineries and tasting rooms nearby, is like a breath of fresh air. We could have gone to your run of the mill local tavern that would serve traditional American fare but why not experience something unique in wine country and at Yeti Restaurant you can't get any more unique. By using fresh ingredients from local farms Yeti Restaurant is bringing their own unique spin to wine country, and being recognized by the Michelin Guide in the past certainly shows you something. With a second larger location in Santa Rosa the team at Yeti Restaurant continues to grow, and I for one, cannot wait to see where they grow to next!

Luckily the staff was accommodating and we were still able to get a table without waiting. Though it was a rainy day, so not a lot of people out and about in wine country. The restaurant wasn't very busy. I honestly did not try much of the food, but the wine was good and decently priced. I believe their corkage is $15 per bottle, so we did think about bringing some of the wine we bought prior. Turns out we didn't need to since their wine list offered some pretty good reds around $50 a bottle. Service was great! We had a big party so you know how that can go. Some unorganization is normally to be had. Some chaos happens when there's a big part of adults and kids. Didn't phase the staff and all. Since we were sharing, we managed to figure out what we wanted and how many dishes we needed to feed everyone. Great spot for Indian cuisine if you're wine tasting in Sonoma County.

Cozy and comfy atmosphere serving up delicious Nepalese cuisine. The Momo's came out streaming hot. The vegetables still had a slight crunch to them. A great appetizer to be sure. We had BAINGAN BHARTA and SAAG GOSHT. Both were rich with spices and delicate texture. A perfect pair with hot fresh naan (cooked to order). The Chicken Biriyani was moist and tender. I'm used to Biriyani being fluffier with less sauce, but this was still very enjoyable. Would absolutely return when next in Glen Ellen.

The food is amazing and flavorful and freshly prepared, with lots of vegetarian entrees. The staff went above and beyond in being friendly and helpful. We had planned to go to the restaurant next door but the scents of Yeti enticed us there instead. We loved the outdoor seating for Covid safety as well. We will look forward to returning someday.

I saw a comment in a review about free range chicken - are the meats in fact free range ? and / or locally sourced?

Occasionally, but it's not the norm.

    Is the buffet back?

Hi. This location does not have a buffet and never has.

Would this be a good place to go the night before a wedding with a party of 13 adults, 2 young boys (6 & 4) and 2 babies? Say a 5:60 dinner? Do they have a private room?

Call them and ask. They are very approachable and try to accommodate customer/guest requests.

Inside the restaurant there is a calming feeling as they were playing slow Hindu chanting music low on their sound system. The first server We began with was very young and maybe learning the menu still as he was really not that good at answering questions on the menu. As soon as we checked in on Yelp, suddenly service picked up. Another more experienced server brought us first, hand towels to wipe out hands (a nice touch, but the towels were almost cold when he brought them, was it an after thought?); and he also brought us complimentary cups of dal that were very tasty. The dishes we got were saag lamb, butter chicken, and organic channa masala, and garlic buttered Naan. Had our first server known how to describe menu better we may have chosen a few different items. He did recommend the butter chicken as one of his favorite so that's why we got it as we often enjoy it other places as well. It was very good, a classic with great sauce, probably the favorite dish. The saag lamb was good too, but we almost got the patak lamb, similar sounding dish but maybe creamier/ other veggie too? But our first server could not really describe difference well. I'm thinking we may have enjoyed the other dish better than saag lamb which was good, but felt the spinach was extremely over cooked, and so finely chopped almost like it was highly minced or powdered? But it was flavorful. The Channa Masala was on the dry side. We we're trying to decide on a saucy vegetable dish and we asked about this dish because we liked that it said organic. That same first server said it was saucy, but not that saucy. Each dish comes with your choice of white or brown rice, or steamed veggies. Two dishes we got brown rice with, and the third we got steamed veggies because we thought there would be more sauce overall to add them too. The rice was allot ( took quite a bit home); the veggies were this nice mix, but so boring with no taste, and what a waste. The veggies even had water floating in bottom of dish. It would be so much nicer if there were an option to have these lightly stirfried with a little flavor as an option ( they were completely bland) , and there was really not enough saucy stuff to add them to so only partially eaten, left remaining there on table instead of taking home with other stuff. We asked for a sample of their side sauces and we got a tiny (like a tablespoon each?) 3 dish sampling of their very tasty homemade mango sauce, tart and tangy cilantro mint sauce, and some sweeter tamarind sauce. But they were very tiny amounts. The Naan was light and crisp, very nice, but could barely taste garlic butter. We asked for our dishes to be medium heat and it was fairly mild for us still, but i guess with American palate, spicy can be relative. But oh well. We also had cups of chai (under $5.00) that had refills, and a glass of house white wine ( Murphy good Sauvignon Blanc was only $8.00 so that was a deal). I'm giving 4 stars for their efforts, but hope they read this so they can improve a few things.

Thinking of Mediterranean or Indian, Yelp! offered Himalayan Momo & Kebob ... just a few minutes away from Rohnert Park. As a food court choice among 8 others, I was reasonably satisfied with my "Regular Plate.". Rice, chickpea curry, chicken tikka kebob, and naan for a little less than $14. The chicken tikka was an excellent choice. The piece of chicken was cut into cubes and crisped in a frying pan -- very flavorful with just a touch of "heat". The rest of the meal was passable for mall food. The turmeric-colored basmati rice was a bit off the mark for Indian rice ... it had a few bits of cumin, but definitely lacked the cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon I spice my rice with, and sauteed onions were completely missing in action. The portion was almost 1.5 cups. The chickpea curry was a good choice, but if I had to guess, I'm pretty sure the chickpeas came out of a can. The portion was on the small side ... about 1/3 cup. The warm, foil-wrapped naan was tasty, albeit a little chewy, but understandable since the mall/food court wasn't busy for a Thursday close to 6 pm. I almost ordered a side of raita, but I turned down a 3-oz portion cup at $2.99. Good thing! The server gave me a 1-oz portion as a sample, and it was the saddest excuse for raita. It was so watery that it wouldn't even cling to a piece of chicken tikka. I couldn't give 3.5-stars, which is what I would actually rate my meal, but I didn't want to shortchange them either by giving only a 3-star review. Would I return? If I lived in the area, probably. There are a couple of other good choices in the food court that I would try first.
