    Review Title: Dangerous Defective Product, Overcharged, Zero Accountability, Avoid at All Costs…read more I am extremely disappointed with Petco and will never purchase from them again. I purchased what was advertised as an insulated outdoor cat house for an outdoor cat. Not only was I overcharged by $45, but the product I received was completely defective and unsafe. The structure had sharp, jagged edges, and I severely injured my hands while handling it. This is a serious safety hazard for both animals and people. My cat will not go inside it at all, which tells me everything I need to know about how unsafe and poorly constructed it is. An insulated outdoor shelter should provide protection and security, not danger. I immediately contacted Petco and provided all required documentation, including purchase date, delivery date, and clear proof of the defect. I also contacted corporate three separate times. Each time I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did. Instead of taking responsibility, Petco told me to contact the manufacturer. That is unacceptable. I did not purchase this item from the manufacturer. Petco took my money, Petco sold the product, and Petco delivered it. Responsibility does not get passed off when a product is defective and dangerous. Petco claims to care about animal welfare, yet they sell unsafe products, overcharge customers, and then ignore serious safety complaints. This demonstrates a complete disregard for animals and for the people who care for them. I am posting this publicly so other customers are warned. If you value your pets and your safety, do not buy from Petco. If you want a company with outstanding customer service and accountability, buy from Chewy instead. The difference is night and day

Where did my Petgo?…read more This is the Petco on Wirt Road, and it's a little smaller and right next to a Kroger, and it's useful because it's right on the way home from the gym for me, so I come here now and again and will continue to do so, usually when there's a pet emergency because for regular pet stuff, Walmart or HEB or even some local stores are much cheaper than Petco and Petsmart. In any case. It works out well and I'll probably come here in future as well, although it's a little expensive. And by a little I mean a lot. They were wonderful for a return we had to do today so I'm increasing it.

    I initially came in to look at the pets and asked questions about a bearded dragon. The employee…read moreworking that evening responded with a very poor attitude, as if she didn't care to help or sell anything. When I asked basic questions, she acted like she didn't understand me and offered no useful information. When I asked about prices, I received little to no help. I left the store and went to my car, but decided to return because I needed a birthday gift for my brother, who was excited about getting something special. I told him to ignore the attitude and just focus on what he wanted. Unfortunately, the service did not improve. When I asked the cashier for help, she simply said, "The girl who's going to help you is standing over there," and made no effort to assist. The other employee I was directed to was also unhelpful and uninterested. To avoid any further issues, I told them not to worry about it and decided to purchase the bearded dragon anyway, along with a cage. There was a promotion for both the animal and the cage, but the cashier acted as if she didn't know how to apply the special that was going on for members or didn't know what she was doing. During checkout, the employees made comments between themselves that were clearly unprofessional and uncomfortable, and I understood exactly what they were implying. I chose not to argue because I just wanted to finish the purchase and leave. Both employees had their name tags flipped, and the receipt does not list their names, so I was unable to identify them.     I have never found the employees at this Pet Supermarket to be particularly friendly. Despite…read moreshopping here occasionally to buy food for my feral cat colonies and rescue cats, I am rarely greeted when I walk into the store. I have walked in many times and observed the employees gathered in conversations opposed to greeting customers. On my most recent visit, a 32-pack of Friskies was displayed with a $19.99 price tag underneath it. When I checked out, it rang up at $26. I pointed out the discrepancy, and instead of addressing it right away, I was left waiting while other customers were checked out. There were two employees present, and it seemed that one could have assisted me while the other continued working the register. Instead, I stood there waiting, unsure what was going to happen. Eventually, the employee who rand me up brought up a 24-pack that apparently matched the advertised price. The whole situation seemed to be an inconvenience for the employees, so I ultimately said, "Never mind." Then, I mentioned that the Pet Supermarket on Richmond, which recently closed, would have simply honored the displayed price. Jennifer responded, "We're not that store." My reply was, "No, you definitely are not." I shop here to buy food for animals that depend on me, and good customer service still matters. Unfortunately, this store consistently feels indifferent toward its customers. Pet Supermarket, you closed the wrong store. Time to hire people who actually look like they enjoy their jobs at a pet store.

I have a lot of cats to feed so I go to a lot of pet stores, overpriced or not. If it was cheaper, I'd come here regularly, just for a little variety. If you are into variety for your babies, and trying different products, would you like coming here. There are good and bad things about it, but because of price I couldn't give it more than three.

    I need to get my kitty's nails trimmed but I don't want to drive all the way out to Houston Humane…read moreservices just to save a few dollars. I called Petco to find out their process. Grooming services answered and they were very polite. Gave me the information I needed. Today is Saturday and she said they can do nail trim up until 5 o'clock because the grooming services closes at 5:30. I don't remember the exact amount she quoted but it was less than $20 for a nail trim and have to bring proof of current rabies vaccination. I'll update the review after we get my kitty's nails trimmed there.

I reiterated I'm just pointing it out. Just as well the mice have ringworm. She slammed the ladder around to walk away and said well guess what you can't buy anything Everything's closed off. Then continued talking rudely to me . As someone who works in customer service this is not ok, I was having a great time visiting Siren and Dee Dee. I normally visit frequently but today that will change I left my Merrick dog and cat food with toys and walked out as she still continued to fuss. Totally unacceptable. If I could give zero stars I would. Just a heads up the mice had ringworm and majority of fish in tanks had ick and or clamped fins. Let's not forget all the dead fish that were in the tanks . Yes I am fully aware it happens but in my history with Petco it's policy to remove the deceased fish. Just like it's in the policy to greet and connect, engage with customers.
