It it a teaching studio so the instructors take the time to teach and gently adjust postures so that you get maximum benefit from my practice. Even though I am an experienced practitioner, I enjoy going to the beginner classes as well as the more advance classes, since you get a great core workout in addition to practicing postures and sequences. THe studio is beautiful, open and light, one of the nicest and warmest spaces I've been in for yoga, and the room is never too crowded so you don't feel confined or hemmed in by other students. You can stop in and try a session. They're located in a bit of an odd place--on the 2nd floor of a small commercial 'strip', but not hard to find, a mile off of Exit 35 of the Merritt on High Ridge Road. If you're new to yoga, or a practitioner who's looking for a more vigorous practice, DO check them out. Amazed at what it's done for my body and my spirit.

Her classes are always challenging, but she always provides modifications for newer Pilates students so her classes are great for students of all levels. She encourages you to push yourself in every class so you feel and see progress from the beginning. She has a lot of energy and is fun to chat with before and after class. The studio is beautiful and relaxing, is always clean, and has a lot of great equipment. I generally take mat classes, which are excellent, but I've also taken one reformer class, which was fun and a nice change of pace. I encourage trying a drop-in class to see what you think of Pilates, and, if you like it, purchasing a class package so you get the most bang for your buck. I'll be taking classes with Rachel all summer to stay in shape while I'm not in school, and I highly recommend that you try one!
