This location is next to shaved ice (skip it), it sits with limited outdoor seating, a small soft serve shop with a spacious back patio and without any real indoor seats. They offer different size cones, cups, and about 6 flavors of which a few are on seasonal rotations. A fridge available contains large portions to take home, next to the free water (a must have). The customer service has always been enjoyable and elevated with free samples. Once you are served you can pick your numerous toppings to tickle your fancy. Decently priced compared to its limited competition, it's a safe bet for anyone no matter your dairy affiliation. I recommend a cone with peanut butter and chocolate. I LOVE this spot! What an amazing find. Rotating soft serve flavors (6 daily) with many yummy toppings available. You can get soft serve in cones or cups, shakes, coffee, ice cream sandwiches - love the variety and will definitely be back. Oh, and you can take pints or premade ice cream sandwiches home with you! Cashew yogurt for the win!! The best part of this is that it's less sweet and sticky than regular ice cream or froyo. So when you finish, you don't get this headache that comes w/ ingesting too much sugar. My favorite is their chocolate + peanut butter prana OR their sweet green flavor. Best flavor combo is the amaretto: cherry, pistachio, and chocolate. I get chocolate and salted caramel often as those are regular flavors. I recently ordered a pint of Thai tea and got it delivered, which is always more expensive with with fees piled on. It tasted really terrible like maybe it went bad or something? I've been a customer for many years since I've had lactose problems. I'm so so grateful for Melissa and her team! The flavors are amazing and I have several pints at home. I'm writing a long overdue review because there's been some people that are upset they're not giving out samples. Y'all, we're in a pandemic. Melissa is doing the best in handling everything safely! If you don't want to pay more than $1.99 on ice cream for your little one then go get some trash from the grocery store and pour that non-organic, dairy based, hormone-filled nasty bullshit down your kid's throat. If sacrificing little Jimmy's nutrition for a few dollar bills seems worth it to you then that's your prerogative but don't bitch about healthier options costing a bit more, you sound ridiculous. And with something like 8 or so flavors that would be one mega-tasty breakfast for sure. Right when you walk in you will see all the toppings that they have and the full menu. :) I got the mini cup with peanut butter and salted caramel zen with mangoes on top. My son got the chocolate bliss with chocolate chips toppings. We both love our YOGA-URT. Not a typical yogurt like yogurtland or Pinkberry. I don't know how pre-internet vegans survived in the wild... It's a prehistoric nightmare on which I'd rather not dwell. Thankfully, the interwebs brought me to this gem of a sweetery. It is an all vegan soft serve/ froyo-type joint, with a yoga studio attached (however, the space is not shared). I will focus on the vegan froyo, being that's all I cared about at the time. There were several flavors from which you could choose, but my tunnel vision led me straight to my heart's desire. That Salted Caramel Zen though! So perfectly caramelly and yummy! They offer a variety of toppings, but I didn't want anything to take away from the taste of that salted caramel, so I declined. They are quite pricey. A large cup of vegan froyo cost me over $8 (no toppings, mind you); if you want a waffle cone, you're looking at $10. I don't live in town, so luckily, I don't have to worry about developing a Yogaurt habit. I am ok with a little indulgence on my random L.A. visits. Oh, and I believe they also said everything is organic, so that always boosts the price factor. Whomever was behind the counter that evening (a male) wasn't very friendly or welcoming, but I was too busy getting froyo-faced to give him too much thought. This is my new favorite vegan dessert spot! I got a banana split with chocolate, vanilla, and peanut butter soft serve and it was topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and almonds. It was SO delicious, my biggest regret was that I shared it haha. Before leaving I bought a 3 pack of the chai chocolate chip cookies and OMG they were amazing. They were very soft and moist and tasted like fall. I watched a video about this shop and was impressed to see that they make their own plant-based milks. The conversation that we overheard appeared to be a very loud and public complaint about a competing shop that moved in next door and bees were an excuse to complain. I love the stringed lights outside in the back, everyone kept their distance, they do have a bathroom, of course Kenneth Village is normally a blast out front and isn't too crowded during this tough season. The frozen yogurt here is amazing and does all the amazing things for my stomach (I have IBS) and no lie, during stomach episodes I have come here, eaten their Strawberry which is PHENOMENAL, and have had bad stomach days go away. The poor rating is for the extremely terrible customer service. Some of the workers are some of the most unenthusiastic, nonchalant, "I hate my job", employees you can possible imagine. When there is a line of 2-3 people you can expect a 15-20min wait. Which for serving soft serve, and tossing some toppings on top...that's ridiculous. For the most part, the wait was bearable, but today was a big hard pass for me. I waited in line for 15min while the employee wandered around aimlessly, serving customers. It was finally my turn and a previous customer came in complaining about a "changed recipe". The worker saw me waiting the whole time, started to take my order and decided to put her attention on the customer that walked back in with the excuse of "she was here before you" seriously? I awkwardly watched the customer complain for over 5mins, Typical problem customer, she got her replacement and FINALLY my turn. Right? Well the flavor I wanted needed to be churned, another wait time. Had she served me before tending to someone with problems, I could have waited for the churning. Another supposed 5min. She rushed through it in 2min, gave me my items, showed her distaste about my annoyance, and I left. I walked back to my car after a 20+ min situation. The yogurt was EXTREMELY runny and I came to find out she didn't let it finish churning. I'm so pissed. I'm a regular here. Coming and dropping $15, 3x a week because I love this business. I walked back in the store, to ask for a non-watery version and the employee is NO WHERE IN SIGHT. No break sign up, no nothing. Just gone. I get that they may be in the back prepping the food, but I've worked in food service and it's customary to check the front and to be careful leaving the business unattended as a safety concern. We've been waiting inside for someone to come back and help us, and it's already been over 15min. I love this place, but it's starting to not be worth the hassle. Please hire better employees, or employees who actually care. ***COVID SAFETY CONCERN: when the employee came back and asked if we had been waiting long...I hadn't seen her or heard her wash her hands. This ice cream trumps everything I've had, and I frequently think about stocking my fridge with pints. Their flavors rotate but they have a few standard ones. The lavender is absolutely divine, but sadly that's not a standard one always there. My typical go-to is peanut butter and chocolate swirled together. It's heaven.
