Came on a Sunday around 11:30 am and waited about 20 mins. There's no room to stand or sit inside so there was someone controlling the line but it wasn't too slow. Service was friendly and let us sample the flavors and helped us choose our toppings. There's only 3 flavors but I enjoyed the watermelon lime sorbet immensely. It was nicely refreshing on a hot day and the perfect amount of sweetness and flavor and wasn't very sour. The natural Greek yogurt was creamy and thick but a little too tart for me and the matcha Greek yogurt didn't really taste like matcha. My sister and I shared a regular size which came with 2 toppings which was a decent size but pretty pricey. We chose the berry crumble and butter crumble as the toppings which added a nice crunch. I would come back for the watermelon lime sorbet only if I'm in the area and if the lines are short.

Glad I finally got to try this spot! We luckily only had to wait about 20 minutes to order when we came on a Sunday around 11:30AM. The line usher was friendly and helpful, had a QR code to view the menu while we waited. Once we got to the front, we got to sample all of the 3 flavors they currently had. I found the workers inside friendly and they gave recommendations on toppings when I asked My friend got the kids mixed with natural/matcha greek yogurt with pistachio sauce, while I split a regular watermelon & lime sorbet with berry crumble and butter crumble with my sister. The natural Greek yogurt was slightly tart and I didn't taste matcha in the matcha flavor. I really liked the watermelon & lime sorbet, it was not too sweet or sour, and very refreshing on a hot day. I liked the berry and butter crumbles which added a nice crunch. It's a bit pricey for the size, and I wouldn't wait too long in line for it, but I would come back if I was in the area!

I love healthy desserts so when I saw this place open, I knew I wanted to stop by! Their pistachio sauce was very good and although Greek yogurt itself is very sour, it complemented the toppings very well! I will say that it is pretty expensive for what it is but it's worth trying it. I saw that they had umbrellas for customers wearing in like which was really nice. The interior design was really cool but I think the workers do not like working there or something since no one was smiling and they didn't really talk to the people asking questions about the toppings.

OBSESSED! Their signature flavor is a natural super creamy tart yogurt, which tastes similar to the tart flavor that you'll get at other frozen yogurt places. BUT THEIR TOPPINGS IS WHERE IT'S AT! The regular size comes with 2 toppings, but I got an extra topping for $12 total. The mykataifi is the inside of a dubai chocolate bar. Really creamy pistachio cream with slight crunch from the katakfi. This was my fav topping for sure. The nocciola crunch is basically a hazelnut spread. But tastes like real hazelnut. You can really tell they use high quality ingredients. The berry crunch tasted like a nice fruity cereal which complimented the other sweet toppings and yogurt so well. We waited 15-20 mins on a weekday afternoon and this was definitely the shortest I've ever seen the line. The shop is small and cute so only so many can fit inside at a time. Service is also so friendly and quick. If the lines weren't as long this would definitely be my go to dessert spot.

I got to try MYKA in Madrid and loved it! So happy they just opened in San Diego. If you're local, you know this area can be tough in terms of parking. Scenic, but hard. We lined up a little after they opened at 11. The guy who was manning the line was friendly and offering us a QR code for the menu and to offer info. He was also passing around umbrellas which I thought was really thoughtful. My tip: make sure you have your choices for ingredients ready. That could definitely hold up the line if you're not even preparing beforehand. It's as delicious as the one I had in Madrid. Get the Mykataffi for a topping!! Best thing ever. I wish they'll start having the white chocolate sauce soon.

Highly recommend going early when they open for the shortest wait time! Got there around 12pm and only waited 10min. Got lucky and snagged a free parking spot but definitely expect to pay for parking in this area Super small storefront they only let a few people in at a time. Very natural and healthy options for toppings although not much can fit on the cup. I did enjoy the chocolate shell and strawberry toppings I got. Their original yogurt is slightly sweeter than a regular plain tart (i.e. Yogurtland) Fun place to try but personally I wouldn't wait longer than 20min and would try to go in the morning

I recently tried the Times Square Myka location in New York City, so decided to try this new San Diego location and it did not disappoint! Myka is one of my new obsessions! Be warned that there is typically a long line - we waited about 30-40 minutes. But in my opinion, it's worth it! They have a cute Greek themed storefront. There are only a select few flavors - classic Greek yogurt, citrus sorbet, and their seasonal flavor, which was the piña colada. They let you sample all the flavors and give very generous portion sizes. My favorite flavor is the classic Greek yogurt, although the citrus sorbet was also very light and refreshing! The piña colada flavor is very subtle. My favorite topping is the pistachio mykataifi, which is a crispy filling like what is typically inside of Dubai chocolate. The Greek yogurt + mykataifi + chocolate chip combo is elite. They also have a large selection of other unique Greek toppings.

Yogurt soft serve was very refreshing on a hot day. If you are a fan of sweeter frozen yogurt, the original flavor might not be sweet enough for you. But it pairs really well with sweeter toppings. I had original and it was very delicious and the pistachio Kadayıf was perfect sauce to pair it with tart yogurt. As for the service, I waited about 25-30 minutes but apparently it was supposed to be shorter wait. If it takes longer than that I would not wait at all. There's no seat inside so you're coming in and out real quick after getting yogurt but it is really nice inside. But would I go back? I would not go back. It's not because of the product or the wait time. The workers are not the warmest people. And unprofessional. I handed the cashier a dirty spoon, she literally placed it right back into the bowl for the next customers to use. Basic hygiene standards and customer service are clearly not a priority here.

Tried MykA's new San Diego location and had a mixed experience. As always, parking in La Jolla is rough, but we got in line a few minutes before 11am on a Thursday and we were on the way home by 11:20. I ordered the pina colada, and unfortunately I couldn't really taste the pineapple or coconut, which was a letdown since that flavor combo is exactly why I wanted to try it. I went with a medium so I could add two toppings, but I wish they'd been a bit more generous with the portions. Overall it was okay, not bad, but not quite what I was hoping for. I'd be curious to try another flavor next time to see if it was just this one that missed the mark.

I've been hoping a Myka location would open in California, and while San Diego isn't exactly close, it was worth the drive this one time. I never got a chance to try it in New York because of the lines, but I always knew I'd have to make it happen someday. I finally tried Myka and absolutely loved it. This is 100% my type of place. The Greek frozen yogurt was perfect for me. I personally love plain frozen yogurt, and this was some of the best Greek frozen yogurt I've ever had. The flavor, texture, and tanginess were exactly what I look for. The toppings were honestly the highlight. They have some of the best topping options I've ever seen at a frozen yogurt shop, and they really make the experience. The only downside was the wait. The line took about an hour, which was pretty crazy considering the actual length of the line. They clearly need to work on speeding up their process because they are moving very slowly. I personally wouldn't wait in a line that long again, but I'm sure things will improve as the hype dies down and they find their rhythm. My husband wasn't as impressed, but he also doesn't like plain frozen yogurt, so I knew it might not be his thing. For me though, this was a huge hit. I'm already hoping we get a Los Angeles location because I know I'd be there all the time. At least the San Diego location was in the best area. * The hazelnut crunch topping was even better than the pistachio one!

MYKA has landed in San Diego with its first shop in all of California and the West Coast. It's a frozen Greek yogurt business that started in Madrid, Spain with US locations in only two other cities (Miami, NYC). The owners took a bold risk by picking a suite on Prospect St in the village of La Jolla. This block probably has some of the highest leasing rates in all of the county because of its proximity to the Cove. Parking can be challenging as the curbside spaces were limited for so many high end businesses. You can use a public valet or even one of the nearby garages as options. I arrived just after their 11 am opening time, and there was already a significant line down the sidewalk. It took about 30 minutes before I reached the counter. The inside was small without any available seating. A few parties could enter at a time to be serviced by one of the workers. The current menu featured natural Greek yogurt, pina colada yogurt, and citrus sorbet as the frozen bases. Individual cup sizes were kids, regular, and large which came with one, two, and three toppings respectively included in the price. A cone could also be purchased as the serving vessel. After letting a worker know which one of the three bases you wanted, the tough task was to select the dry or wet toppings that were broken down into the following categories... Myka Signature, Crumbles, Candied Nuts, Nuts, Compote, Sauces, Olive Oil, Seasonal, Super Foods, Fruit, and Honey. I am uncertain if all 30 choices across these categories were available, but most were on display at the counter so you could watch the staff assemble your item. I chose a large serving of the natural Greek yogurt in a cup. This was MYKA's signature frozen product made with premium Greek yogurt, pasteurized milk, and goat's kefir. It was creamy with a noticeable tang. The toppings I requested were Mykataifi, Dulce de Leche, and Fig Compote. The first was a pistachio-pastry blend made to resemble baklava. That by itself was sweet, but then the dulce de leche added a caramel flavor while the fig jam took the sweetness to another level. The biggest difference at MYKA compared to another premium competitor in North County was the quality and choice of toppings. The price included at least one topping depending on the cup size versus paying a la carte for toppings at the other place. You still could add more toppings here for $1.25 each. If you had a wet topping like I did, then that combined with the yogurt made for a fast-melting item which was a minor drawback. I gave a 4.5 star rating for the quality and cost of my frozen yogurt and rounded up.

I finally got the chance to see what all the hype was about, and yes--the lines are still long! I ordered the original flavor, and it was incredibly smooth, rich, and creamy without being overly sweet, which made it perfectly balanced. The variety of toppings was great. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Omg Greek frozen yogurt?! This place is still relatively new, so be prepared to wait in line! But it's better than Go Greek and I loved how fresh it tasted with the toppings. I got the piña colada and natural Greek yogurt swirl with the crushed berry and the green sauce toppings. Delicious!! The inside was also cute and decorated in a way that transports you to Greece and the Mediterranean. Go on a weekday when it's slightly less crowded if you can, otherwise the line can get up to an hour or so long.

Hiya B.UM.S., If you…read moreever find yourself wandering through Downtown San Diego with a sudden craving for fresh cookies or ice cream, I have a place you simply need to check out: Milk & Cookies. We stopped by recently and got incredibly lucky--there was no line in sight, so we walked right up to order! The Cookies: Gooey, Crisp, & Perfectly Balanced My wife decided to try a trio of cookies, picking out Snickerdoodle, Peanut Butter Reese's, and classic Chocolate Chip. They completely nailed the texture. Every single cookie hit that golden sweet spot--warm and gooey in the middle with just the right amount of crisp edge. What really stood out was the balance of ingredients. Chocolate Chip: Perfectly measured so you get sweet chocolate in every bite without feeling overwhelmed by chips. Peanut Butter Reese's: An absolute dream ratio of rich peanut butter to chocolate peanut butter cups. Snickerdoodle: Perfectly spiced, striking just the right "snicker-to-doodle" balance! Of course, we couldn't leave without trying the ice cream. I ordered a combination of Cookie Monster and Campfire in a single scoop. The portion size was remarkably generous--it completely filled up the small cup and delivered a fantastic mix of flavors. My wife went with a scoop combining Espresso Oreo and Mint & Chip, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, these were easily some of the best desserts we've had in a very long time. Whether you're a local or just exploring the downtown area, Milk & Cookies is well worth a visit.
