They offer this chewy tapioca delight as a topping and I love them for it. It adds a nice touch to your cup of fun, so be daring and sprinkle some on top. 4. Ambiance. It's a little chic place that's not too snooty. All sorts of people come here so come and feel right at home. 5. Cheap. Previously, my experiences with fro-yo had all been like... well, frozen yogurt - cold and tart. Maybe that's not such a bad thing, but it isn't really something that I would want for dessert. Yay Yogurtland! I just read Joseph B.'s review below, and it looks like maybe the Yogurtland staff read it too, because I (thankfully!) haven't encountered any of those problems. The place seems pretty clean, which is probably a bit of a job at a self-serve business. Even on weekends when I've been there and the place was completely full, I didn't see anything that grossed me out. Yogurtland is currently my favorite yogurt place for a few reasons: 1. I'm not a big yogurt fan, but this is such a cool spot in the middle of a part of Dallas that looks like Korea. Try the plain tart and taro. They let you select from any of the machines and there is a huge number of them plus lots of toppings. The main thing though is the ambiance is so Asian, but cool and ethnic. However, the best and most consistent froyo place has always been yogurtland. This particular yogurtland has been around for a while, and since it's located next to H-Mart, it gets a lot of traffic. However, the inside of the place is clean, well-lit, and spacious. You will surely find some place to sit (if not inside, definitely outside somewhere), and you won't ever feel too claustrophobic like some other places. The flavors here often change, but I still think the best flavor will always be pistachio... HANDS. DOWN. Of course, there are also a handful of other flavors, such as Green tea, oreo, some strawberry slush flavor. I enjoy most of them, but definitely get a test cup to try out the flavors first if you have any doubts. The toppings and price here are also very well done. I've loved froyo since TCBY in the 80s, and Yogurtland is my new addiction. I first went to Yogurtland after returning from D.C. and having some meh froyo from TangySweet (don't go there). I loved that the cashier at Yogurtland handed me about 8 cups to sample all the interesting flavors. I managed to narrow my choices down to two flavors: Yuzu and green tea. I decided on the green tea yogurt, which is very bold. In retrospect, I think both Yuzu and green tea would have gone well together. The place gets extra points because the toppings are also self serve, so I can get as many mochi and fruit pieces as I want! It's like heaven but better. Yogurtland is clean, nicely decorated, seating is plentiful and the spoons are super cute. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Pricing is by the ounce, so it can be as inexpensive or expensive as you want it to be. read more

I usually don't go to many ice cream places because I am slightly lactose intolerant but yogurt land has always been a favorite of mine compared to many other ice cream and froyo places. I have gone to this location ever since it opened and occasionaly make my trip here with friends. My favoirte flavor here is the blueberry and regular tart. I would get so upset whenever they wouldn't have the flavors out that I think one year they just got rid of it completely and so I avoided the place for a long time haha. I recently came back for national froyo day and found the flavor back again. I was so excited that I piled my cup high and ate it all up. I then realized how much I missed this place and have to go back. Yougurtland is so nice to provide free yogurt once a year. Well, I finally made it up to Yogurtland after griping about its location for months on end. Last week, a few of us took a coworker out to dinner at To Dam Gol next door (review to follow!) for her last day of work and we then went over to get froyo'ed up. Congratulations Yogurtland, you've ruined me for all other yogurt establishments in the metroplex. I mean, if the 0.30 cents/oz wasn't enough to turn a person's loyalties, the variety of flavors and topping selection only makes it harder to stay away from this place. I got the "small" cup, aka, the one that isn't as deep as the well in your grandpa's backyard. Their Madagascar Vanilla was oh so good, plus the pomegranate raspberry tart (bliss!) and green tea made me ready to swoon into the arms of the cashier. I tried a bit of the plain tart and strawberry tart and both were good, but I wanted to save room for mochi and berries too and I was overwhelmed by the small children running about and the huge pictures of fruit on the walls. One friend insisted on paying for all four of us and the grand total was about $13. Seriously, $13 can get you two ample servings at a place that's running 0.40/oz, but four cupfuls?! The great thing about this place is that its very cheap to get a variety of yogurts and toppings. I think its because the owners realized they were only selling yogurt with fruit toppings on it so charging 4 to 6 dollars for a bowl was pretty crazy. I think yogurtland was my introduction into the full on frozen yogurt addiction I now have. I'm not trendy, so trying pinkberry or red mango while vacationing in LA didn't work out for me. They have about 12 different flavors here, but I normally ignore all flavors except for original anyway. Friend of mine tried a vanilla wafer cookies and cream flavor which he really loved (from the sample) and then had a HUGE brain freeze and refused to get any. Boys will be boys, just because it came from a sample cup doesn't mean that inhaling it won't hurt your head. The yogurt areas and the topping areas were clean on my last visit, as was the weighing scale. Hooray for that. They also had walnuts which I am all for. So I got more yogurt and mochi and fruit than I normally do at places like this, but it was under 3 bucks. I was a happy camper and didn't talk for the next 10 minutes. I like: how it's basically self service, their wall o' fro-yo selections, and their topping selections. I don't like: that they don't often tend to keeping the food areas clean and the weigh machine surfaces should be clean too. That 'liquid' touches the bottom of my cup and I don't even know how long that has been sitting there and I don't know who's or what kind of germs could be swimming in it. As busy as they are and the way people can be messy, there should be a person that is solely dedicated to keeping the eating areas clean too. They need: more staff for the purposes of keeping surfaces non-sticky, and outside seating since they have the space for it. read more

This place is the BOMB... I've taken my wife, my brother, my sister, my father, my mother and my favorite nephews and they ALL LOVED IT! Red Mango is still my fav... but hey, we are in Dallas! Even though they have tons of flavors I choose the regular flavor. It's super tart and it's orgasmic! Pretty awesome place. My sister took me here tonight after dinner. The concept is pretty straightforward: 1. Walk in 2. Choose your cup size 3. Fill the cup with as many yogurt flavors as you like 4. Top the yogurt with the various toppings from fresh fruit, to coco puffs, to butterfingers, etc. 5. Weigh the cup 6. Pay by the ounce! There is a plethora of yogurt flavors - from the regulars like vanilla to some exotic ones like pastachio or taro. If you're unsure of what yogurt flavors you might like, you can go up to the counter and ask them for tasting cups so that you can try out the various flavors. When it comes to the toppings - they have an array of fresh fruit from blackberries to mango to lychees to kiwi. Then when you move onto the dry toppings you have the normal ones like chocolate sprinkles, cookie dough, brownie bits, and butterfinger bits but they also have some fun stuff like cereals such as coco puffs and cap'n crunch. They also have mochi - which is that chewy rice stuff that you can get at Japanese restuarants as a dessert - i've never seen it as a frozen yogurt topping, but it totally makes sense since it usually comes wrapped around ice cream. The flavor of the months are always surprising and delicious, however usually I go with Taro and original. Toppings: For the health nut, they have fresh fruits... not canned, FRESH. Not coated in sugar water, FRESH. I don't know if you noticed but the key word is FRESH. So sometimes the mangos aren't ripe yet, at least you know it's real mango. For me, that's a big big plus. For every other person. the assortment of delicious toppings go on and on. From candy bars all crunched up to cookies and gummy bears and sprinkles and almonds and cereal. Another place I cant believe I haven't written a review for!! I always come here with my friends after eating at Omi or before shopping at H Mart. They're obsessed with it, and I adore it too. Anything where I can customize my food, really, I'm into. The flavors they have are great, and they occasionally have "special" flavors (recent ones I remember are this pomegranate/cherry/something blend, and red velvet cupcake). I usually stick to fruity flavors, like taro and mango and stuff. The fruit they have for toppings are always fresh when I've been, and the price is much better than at I Heart Yogurt. The only thing is, if you eat inside, it echoes like crazy in there. When it's busy at night, it can be so loud you have to shout to talk to the person across from you...Which might be another reason it's so loud, come to think of it. read more

I needed a study break so yogurt land came to mind on this beautiful day in Dallas. I don't know what happened to this place though . They didn't have any flavors that really caught my eye so I just picked my basic cheesecake. I went to the toppings and they have changed their cheesecake, brownie bites, and cookie dough I could tell by the looks of it. I just got a few pieces of cheesecake to try. Then I got some other toppings and sat outside. Well the cheesecake was terrible! The fruity pebbles were stale. The mango popping boba are still delicious but this place has definitely slumped in their quality. This is coming from someone who has gone a lot last summer! OMG! So good! I had heard about the infamous 'Pinkberry" - and then looked up other yogurt places.... I just had to try this. I had especially heard good things of the tart flavors so after trying 2-3, I chose Taro Tart. YUM! It was a Monday night around 7pm after work-only about 10 people, so not too crowded. It was very clean, smelled nice (no really-there was a seriously nice scent in the air) and the counter girl was super friendly. I knew I wanted the fresh, vibrant fruit as toppings. I chose plump, fresh blueberries, very fresh, non soggy blackberries and diced strawberries. I was in heaven! Its my new found love! Now I have to seek out the other yogurt places!
