Since this is now the closest Yogurtland to me, I felt I simply HAD to pop in for a sampling of their froyo. I've visited the Fullerton and Irvine locations before stopping here and I've got to say that their quality has dropped significantly. I tried a combination of the plain tart and the green tea flavors and was very disappointed. The froyo here is much icier than I remember. How sad when I know that newer froyo shops are putting out better tasting and creamier versions of this frozen treat. The green tea flavor was also perfumey and pretty gross overall. Yogurtland is my nieces favorite froyo shop in Orange County. And because they are OC kids, they've got some pretty refined palates at the age of 8 and 10. :) We swung by here this past Saturday after a delish dinner in Westminster. Yogurtland charges by weight at 30 cents an ounce and is self serve. What's impressive is their VAST selection of flavors. That night they had over a dozen flavors from original tart, mango tart, pistachio to holiday flavors like gingerbread and peppermint. Major plus points goes to the guy staffing the place. He handed over a TON of sample mini cups to us. And yes, I sampled every flavor that night--I've got no shame. :) Overall, the original tart is still the best flavor. This location is sooo crowded and there's barely any room to sit! The yogurt is the same as all the other locations at $0.30/oz, but it's just horrifically crowded. I was craving Milk+Honey after my brief encounter on Saturday afternoon but it was just too damn far to trek all the way down there during my lunch hour. I had heard about this new location from one of my coworkers so I took a trip down to temporarily satisfy my need for some delectable desserts. This location appears to have many more flavors than the Irvine and Fullerton ones, but then again, I could just be a bit delirious from the lack of tart yogurt. Also, this place isn't as crazy as the Irvine & Fullerton ones so I was really happy to see that I wouldn't have to box out and elbow the little kids that were getting in my way and hogging the strawberry and plain tart machines. Before I filled my cup full, something shiny caught my eye. A new sign behind the toppings counter read: Shaved Ice with yogurt. The first thought that crossed my mind was "Oh hell ya...it's on like Donkey Kong!!" I filled that sucker to my hearts content with everything I could remember in that M+H special: strawberry yogurt, tart yogurt, strawberries, mochi, red bean, and condensed milk (I obviously omitted the kiwis and bananas because I'm not too fond of that stuff). I went there after a dinner at Honda-Ya since my navigation showed an outdated info on a cafe nearby. The inside is pristine, and definitely drew younger crowds. I ended up sampling six flavors with blueberry. While the berry was fresh and nice, these yogurt flavors were ordinary. I could not clearly discern the tastes indicated at the serving area. Don't get me wrong, they were pretty tasty, but not memorable. Pistachio was nice, but not coconut (too sweet), for example. I should've served each flavor smaller because 12 oz of yogurt and berry was a lot more than I wanted after eating a hearty dinner. Don't be too greedy folks :P. read more

Love this location. Located on a corner in a strip mall. Feels more like a neighborhood spot rather than a franchised chain. Lots of flavors of froyo, even some non-milk frozen treats. And they rotate flavors so there is always something new to try. Get your sample cups and try as many flavors as you like. The staff there are friendly and attentive and the store is always clean. I love Yogurtland, and I frequent this location and the one on 2nd St. in LB the most. However, I must say that this particular store has been pretty lackluster in the toppings department lately... What, no blueberries? No almonds? Two of the top 3 reasons I even stopped by tonight? Disappointing. However, Yogurtland in general is such a treat. More variety than Pinkberry and much cheaper too. Despite my countless trips to Yogurtland, I'm still a little unsure about self-serve frozen yogurt etiquette... Am I allowed to cut you off when you pouring your pistachio fro-yo into a cup has become the neverending story and all I want is the plain tart 3 stations to your left? Can I swoop in front of you when you're counting out your 22 and 1/2 chocolate chips and all I want to do is throw some strawberries in my yogurt and call it a day? These are the things that make me nervous as I stand in the traffic jam of a line that inevitably forms here. So..I love this place. During the summer my girlfriend and I actually had to ban ourselves from going more than once a week. The people that work here are incredibly unfriendly. Be happy! Seriously, I love this place. They have so many different flavor varieties, but that's not the best part. I love toppings, LOVE THEM. Back in the day, before the unlimited topping craze began, I didn't really enjoy frozen yogurt, and the toppings were always so expensive. Yogurtland has awesome toppings and they don't add much more on to the price. What I like best is that they are super reasonable. Wow! I never thought it was necessary to review Yogurtland. This location has gone way down hill. Tonight they didn't have sample cups.... Last time I thought it was maybe an off day. This shop feels a little run down, which makes it seem unclean. The machines are frequently not working. Two flavors were out of order tonight and one machine was making a strange loud sound. Seems to be typical that at least two of their machines aren't functioning. They used to have berries and fresh fruit. Usually I'm a fan of topping my yogurt with sliced strawberries and mango. Not at this location! Now a days the strawberries look off color and previously frozen and if they have mango, it never looks right either. I don't know what happened at this location, but it's not what it used to be. If you have a choice, go to a different location. read more

Pros: -WAY more sanitary than the one in Irvine on Jeffrey. At least I didn't see anyone touching the yogurt drips and licking their fingers and no one was eating the yogurt in their cups before paying. -Fair selection of toppings and about the same amount of yogurt flavors, not that I need that much selection anyway. Cons: -Missing toppings like blueberries (out-of-stock) and mochi (guessing out-of-stock). The signs for the toppings didn't end up matching what was in the bin, which is another way I guessed that they were missing lots of toppings. I mean, no mochi? BOO! -No plain tart yogurt. Um, how can you have all these other flavors, like peanut butter and strawberry tart, but no plain tart? -Really small location, not that I planned to sit and eat anyway. Yogurtland! Pistachio is my absolute favorite of the bunch. Pair it up with some mochi and Cap'n Crunch and I'm a happy gal. Plus, the people who work here are always nice - they aren't stingy with their sample cups and they don't even seem to mind when you come in after they've cleaned all the machines around closing time. There are only a couple tables at this location so seating's a bit limited, but there are plenty of flavors to choose from and even more toppings. As condensed as milk, but I'm not complaining when I'm not shifting my weight from one foot to the other just to get through the front door (that means YOU Irvine). Kudos to the very friendly employee behind the counter. We were rung up lickety split. I don't even mind that he forgot to hand us our spoons, because he was so busy assisting us and the three little girls pouring themselves some water. I've been here twice and each time have been amazing. There are many flavors to choose from, last night my personal favorites were mango and dutch chocolate. However, my usual go to is original tart and kiwi. Luckily, this place has the originals plus new flavors and tons of toppings [LOTS of fruit!!]. I love that I get to pick whichever flavor and how much I want of everything and pay the same price as anyone else since they charge by ounce [unlike pinkberry]. It's very inexpensive, so when I go here I don't feel like I'm paying for a meal. Also, they're open late! I came here when I got off work at 10 last night. It was like heaven. The store itself is smaller than the average. Also, the location is in a small strip mall which has hardly any parking. If you go to this location, best to go during off peak times or be prepared to hunt for parking. They have the standard and more popular flavors, but they don't have as many flavors and not as exotic (i.e. taro, passion guava) as some of the other locations in Irvine. But still, they have all the great toppings and it's do-it-yourself. read more

Just wanted to write a new review for yogurtland. They have a new flavor that tastes amazing! Yesterday, I ended my hike at peters canyon regional park by going to get some froyo! Yogurtland has a green matcha flavor, which tastes so good! Think green tea flavor with a creamier substance. If you've tried matcha green lattes, then they taste exactly like it! So good and delicious with a side of fruit and mochi. Try it if you have the chance! read more

The only thing is it does get a lot of customers and there is not a lot of tables to sit at. I would not come here at night for it does get a lot of people and it can get crowded. Great flavors and fun toppings! The best part is the fact they are open late all the time. My kind of hours! The only downside is if they are busy seating is limited. If this place gets busy, the line would be incredibly cramped, but for now it's good. The price is still the same as the other one. The flavors are the same. They still have taro, tarts, chocolate, vanilla, etc. The toppings are relatively the same. They didn't have granola. I noticed because it's one of my usuals. I wouldn't suggest this place for large groups. There's only 3 tables and no seating outside. The only negative thing I saw was one of the helpers behind the counter was talking on her cell phone and picked up a walnut from the side and put it back with the toppings. I thought that was a bit gross, but was thankful that I don't put walnuts in my yogurt. read more

I absolutely LOVE yogurt... after seeing Bams eat yogurt while watching football last Sunday, I was really hoping Janette would wanna grab some later. Thankfully she did. Even better, its near the house (like a 2 min drive). Superawesome. Vanilla Wafer Yogurt - whoa... seriously tastes like if they grinded nilla wafers into a yogurty treat. This is more of a sweeter and custardy yogurt and less of a tart one. Seriously, this was closer to ice cream soft serve... delicious. This almost reminded me of how cookie dough tastes without chocolate chips. I pretty much filled the crap out of my container with this stuff and went for the over kill. Janette got the Strawberry & Plain tart. Both were sour sweet and had the taste of a strawberry starburst mixed with a sour patch kid. She also added fruity pebbles and strawberry popping boba. Strawberry Popping boba... pretty freaking weird... imagine a salmon roe texture... but instead of breaking it open and getting a salty/fishy taste, you get a sweet strawberry flavor burst. It really tripped me out. I also sampled the following: Oatmeal Cookie - imagine if an oatmeal cookie saturated in milk. Also imagine that oatmeal cookie didnt scratch your throat like captain crunch. Thats what you get here... also weird because its cinnamon/nutmeg flavored yogurt, though it would bother me less if it was ice cream. Double Cookies and Cream - racks on racks on racks of oreos blended into sweet yogurt. I would have got this had it not been for the nilla wafer flavor. Chocolate Hazelnut - the Nutella of yogurt, though I've eaten so much nutella/kinder/ferrero products the past 4 months that I decided to forgo this just once. Perfect dessert for people who love yogurt, or those who had just tackled Gen San's AYCE KBBQ right across the street. read more

I like Yogurtland, in general, but I like this Yogurtland in particular because it's comparably clean and less-crowded than the other ones I've been to (Irvine-Campus, Irvine-Jeffrey, Fullerton-State College). They ACTUALLY have the new/seasonal flavors that are advertised on that big sign they post on the front window (unlike some other Yogurtlands I know...) When I walk by and see a gigantic sign advertising peppermint-flavored frozen yogurt (or some other tasty flavor), and I start drooling, nothing is worse than going inside, grabbing the self-serve cup and....no peppermint. This Yogurtland doesn't do that as far as I can tell. Yogurtland is by far my favorite of the booming yogurt chains, but I can never give it 5 stars because each location has its own room for improvement. Bring back the freaking green tea flavor!!?!?!?! I love this place! Best yogurt around. Prices are okay. But the topping selection is awesome. Ask for sample cups and be adventurous - try new flavors. You will be happy you did. Then you will know the toasted coconut is so yummy. Add some chocolate and there you have it, Almond Joy Fro-Yo! (If that's your sort of thing). I tend to stick with my favorite, plain tart and fruity pebbles. Delish. The service is always nice. It's always packed but somehow you can get a seat. People just cycle through. I would've given Yogurtland more stars because I really love their yogurt, but this store just isn't as good as the others I've been to. This Yogurtland location is comparable to other Yogurtland locations. It is relatively economical and you can splurge as your heart desires. I noticed a few patrons taste testing different flavors with small cups. It is nice that they let you do that before you dive right in. I also like that new flavors get cycled in occasionally. For this particular occasion, I got a 50/50 mixed of banana nut bread and white chocolate macadamia nut cookie. Then I splurged and added lychee, mangos, strawberries, cookie dough, and chocolate chip. Mmmm, mmmm, ugh. I definitely ate too much. Nothing special about this Yogurtland location. It is kept clean, the cashier on duty when I went was friendly, and they have a good amount of flavors. It is located near the 5 freeway and off Newport Ave, where there is a lot of restaurants, so it is convenient to go to if you're feeling frozen yogurt after a meal. I would definitely come back again if I am eating somewhere nearby and craving some dessert afterwards! read more
