This is a fun place to go for frozen yogurt with toppings. We usually go to the Yogurtology on Gandy, but this one is also nice. My kids love the huge variety of flavors and toppings/"bottomings." Decided to grab some fro yo for dinner and found this place near my hotel. There is ample parking in the lot. Once you walk in you are greeted by the staff. The toppings bar looks so inviting. I came on a jam packed day where there were kids running around. It took me a while to locate the sample cups. Typically they are by the bowls. I asked the person running the register and he got some from his station and walked around to serve me. I thought that was kinda odd but I guess they don't want people just eating a bunch of samples. Eli gave us a tour of the place, and he explained how everything works. He was soooo nice. He gave us some of the best customer service I have received in a while. Dole whip is where it is at. The boba burst things are so good. I went the fruity route, and it was a great decision. I recommend you get dole whip, and another fruity flavor. I kept it small, hoping to keep it under $5. Success! It was delicious and I can see how this could become an addiction. All the different toppings, the fresh fruits, the candies, the nuts. I usually visit the Gandy store and love how friendly the staff is - always greeted with a HELLO when you walk in and "can I get you a sample of something to try" before I even get to the yogurt... We walk into this one and don't get greeted and no one asks if there's anything we want to try. I had to ask to try something. The guy behind the counter was busy at the register but he did say he would help just as soon as he was done, the twig behind the counter didn't many any eye contact nor respond to the request and was obviously too into herself to be helpful. The guy did give us a taste of what we each wanted to try and then had to get back to the register. The twig still no help. By this time, we got our cups and started filling with yogurt and then went to the toppings bar. The counter was dirty, the cherries were practically empty, the pineapples looked like hell and then (I wish I got a pic of this)....the caramel in the squeeze bottle was so disgusting full of caramel on the outside of the container, I couldn't even touch it to show the guy it needed to be cleaned. He apologized and then asked the twig to help clean it up. She took it in the back and apparently washed the top but when it came back to us it had water INSIDE the squeeze bottle! The guy apologized and brought it back to replace the entire bottle of caramel. Gross! I will never go back to this particular location again. Dear Yogurtology, I am in love. Your yogurt is so smooth, tasty, and utterly delicious. I tasted the oatmeal cookie, butter finger (with real butterfingers in it), but my heart almost skipped a beat when the salted caramel passed my lips. How do you make it taste like there is actual caramel in the yogurt? I am a purist. I don't like toppings on my yogurt. However if did, your toppings are beyond compare. First, I have never seen "bottomings" before: oatmeal cream sandwich cookies, pound cake, waffles, etc. meant to go at the bottom of your yogurt cup. I know it's a bit gimmicky, but the husband & kids loved it. After you get your yogurt, the toppings are dangerous and you really need to be strategic unless you want a dessert with thousands of calories and a hefty price tag to match. After all, this toppings bar has whole/huge chunks of chocolate bars, not just the usual chopped ones. There is also fruit, cake, candy, even baklavah! Your staff is outstanding, so friendly and accommodating! I understand no relationship is absolutely perfect so I do have to admit just one little thing that bothered me. I really like it when sample cups are plentiful and I can take my own samples without asking. The server who gave me my samples was lovely but I just like the freedom to get my own. Still, I don't even know if many more samples in the future will even be needed. I have found my true love and it is "salted caramel". Funny, I have really liked some yogurt places in my neighborhood like "Menchie's" but something was holding me back from that commitment to a five star rating. Now I know why. I was waiting for the true five star fro yo to come into my life. There is only one major challenge for us: a long distance relationship. Yogurtology, you do not have a location anywhere near my house, not even in my county! This is a plea, not only from me, but from my family: please open a location in South FL, preferably Davie or Plantation. Yogurtology has more than twice as many flavors as Pinkberry. All of the flavors taste more rich and sweet than Pinkberry. Yogurtology has more toppings than Pinkberry. Yogurtology allows for unlimited toppings. You can help yourself to samples at Yogurtology, while avoiding that awkward feeling of being judged because you want to try 3 - 5 flavors before making a very important purchase. You pile all the FroYo/toppings on, and depending on the weight of the cup you will pay a certain amount. If you have a chance to go to Yogurtology - DO IT!! I'm always amazed at how they can nail the specialty flavors to taste so accurate "s'mores, strawberry milkshake, salted caramel", so many good flavors. I always prep my kids to let them know NO toppings, because it already costs way too much as it is. Staff is pretty good, sometimes I have to ask for a sample for my kids to decide. The one con and why it is getting a lower review...is when I see the dirty towel they use to wipe off each dispenser where the yogurt comes out. No need to wipe it. Seating is available inside and outside. Outside isn't very aesthetically pleasing, you are sitting on top of cars in a parking lot on a really busy corner. read more

Their doggy frozen yogurt is a big hit with my puppy. She has a sensitive stomach and this treat doesn't upset her. The first thing I noticed about this place was the insane amount of people here, which either means Yogurtology is either very good or incredibly hyped -- or maybe both. So, I went in and decided to see for myself. There are probably 12 different flavors of froyo which makes deciding which one to have sort of difficult. So, in the true spirit of marching to the beat of my own froyo drummer, I got like 4 different flavors. All were really good, but REALLY sweet. The toppings bar was plentiful -- waffles, oatmeal creme pies, nutty bars, this place has a lot of toppings that you won't find anywhere else, or at least at any of the frozen yogurt shops I've been to. The music here was blasting so I felt like I was a little overwhelmed by that and the service was sort of weird, like the people working were not very friendly at all. Nice, bright, and organized self-service frozen yogurt spot in South Tampa. Sample cups are available for the curious palate and there is lots to look at and choose from. I appreciate that there is a hand sanitizer dispenser by the paper cup dispenser. I like this frozen yogurt store for its convenience and cleanliness and the fact that there currently isn't another fro yo spot like it in the area. The flavors are pretty great, although I prefer to stick to my tart yogurt with the occasional splurge of a little bit of oatmeal cookie in the cup. The toppings are varied and they have "bottomthings" as well. Many different scoops me as well as syrupy and sundae-like toppings to choose from. Staff is nice an accommodating. With flavors ranging from piña colada to the best salted caramel to orange cream sickle you just can't go wrong but what makes this place special is their Bottomings and their toppings. I love picking the oatmeal cream pies as my bottoms, 1/2 salted caramel and 1/2 butterfingers from yogurt and crushed twix and a few other dreamy toppings. Help, that is, with choosing which of their fresh, deliciously inventive toppings and bottomings will spill over, under and around my flavor of the day. No need to back up, you heard me, bottomings. I was a bit lost at first (maybe it was all the totally mod, futuristically white furnishings) but the owner/manager(?) Freddy was super attentive and took time to help each customer. I just assume he was the owner because he brought his A-game with all the assistance, attitude and keeping this place shining all night. Process: First you snag a cup. Which is more like a one size fits all bowl but you're going to need it so pace yourself. Second, fill the bottom of said cup with bottomings like Oreos, oatmeal pies, etc. Then, choose your flavor (looking for sugar free mint? Gluten free chocolate? Vanilla that makes being called vanilla a good thing? Yep.) Mix and match, try 'em all. If you need samples of something (or everything) just ask Freddy. I picked vanilla and chocolate because I don't like choosing. Next, and this is pivotal, are toppings. I hear that the toppings bar is updated frequently but can you really improve on perfection? There are about 30 things on this bar but I always go for the fruit first. It's fresh and firm instead of mushy like some other places. Mango, kiwi, strawberry, coconut flakes and mini chocolate chips. Hey now, chocolate is made from super beans that grow on trees so it's absolutely fruit. I didn't get them this time but there were candy bars, snow caps, four kinds of nuts, yogurt covered raisins, Swiss rolls (right on!) and then in the last row, baklava. True story, baklava!
