I did not expect this place to last this long, given the price and the quality of the food, but here we are--which brings me to the point that you really must order only what you can consume if you go for the all-you-can-eat. You'll be charged if you overorder, because it's a shame to waste quality food. The restaurant is family-friendly and BYOB. The à la carte menu also contains some savory items. I have seen some guests opting for à la carte Chinese rather than sushi. Some of my favorite non-sushi items in the AYCE menu are the wonton soup (delicious and garlicky) and steamed siomai. I have shied away from the shrimp tempura, though, as I can taste the oil in the batter, even though I have been assured that the kitchen uses only fresh oil for their fried items. However, you can do as many rounds as you want as long as your plates are clean before the next one. I love the variety, though quality can be hit or miss on certain days. That said, across the many times I've visited, it's been fairly consistent. If you're looking for a "max your fill" spot rather than traditional, higher-quality sushi, I have a feeling you'll love Cayenne. We've always had great service with a friendly waitress who's welcoming right at the door. She consistently checks in to make sure we're enjoying our time there and I love how warm her personality is. Though the kitchen can be on the slower side at times, it's always worth the wait to see everything we ordered compiled on a massive plate. Overall, I really enjoy coming to Cayenne! They may not be for everyone, but I love the AYCE concept that lets you splurge on sushi without the high ticket prices. Cayenne hits the most when you have that hankering, so definitely come hungry to get your money's worth.

The location is convenient, and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. That's become increasingly rare these days. The only reason I'm stopping at four stars instead of five is the service. While I've never had a genuinely bad experience here, the last few visits have been noticeably slower than I remember. Service has also felt a bit inattentive at times, and these weren't during packed dinner rushes or busy weekend nights. Nothing terrible, just enough that I found myself waiting longer than expected for drinks, check-ins, or the bill.
