We needed a good breakfast after a long weekend at the coast. Yolk offers just that, a delicious and fresh home-cooked brunch! We were excited to try what they had to offer. They get EXTREMELY busy. We waited over an hour for a table and were offered bar seating at around an hour wait. Normally we are fine with bar seating, however, the bar seats that they have are small wooden round seats with no backs - we just would not have been comfortable with that seating. The food came out quickly and was delicious, you can really taste that it's homemade! A bit on the pricier side ($5 for a small gravy), but I would go back especially with the limited offering at the coast.

Such a great brunch spot and well worth the wait. It was a Monday and we waited for a 2 top for about 30 minutes. We e hung at a coffee shop across the street. The service is incredible and the food is absolutely the best along the coast! Worth the stop. Also, get a slice of the custard French toast!

We really liked this place. Small well lit cafe making fresh food. Expect a wait. Danita our server was great. We ordered the burger 5/5, avocado toast 5/5, and a Bloody Mary 4.5/5. Do not miss out. Get the fried potatoes. The seasoning is a secret recipe. Off the charts.

I will come back and update the review in a few weeks but so far the service was very friendly and fast. The wait will be long, we even ate before brunch while waiting. You can tell the owners care a lot and you notice it in local high quality ingredients. The portions were smaller than expected and too simple for me. Next time I'll try something more interesting.

Delicious options for both sweet and savory. My husband's enjoyed his blood Mary (spicy, but not too spicy). I enjoyed the lavender cocktail! Presentation made everything that much better! The French toast is big! We left full!

It was our first time visiting Manzanita yesterday. What a beautiful beach & town, if you are in the area I highly recommend getting brunch at yolk. It is absolutely delicious with wonderful service!

So good we visited twice. We were staying nearby last weekend and dropped in for breakfast. We each got a version of the 2 egg breakfast and coffee. Everything tasted simply delicious. We loved every morsel, but the potatoes were next level. We ended up returning the following morning as well, where the hubby stuck with his previous selection but I decided to give the French toast a try (accompanied by the potatoes cuz l had no choice). Day two, everything was superb once again. The place isn't huge and seems to be a hot-spot for breakfast, so prep for a possible wait. Service was friendly, thorough, and fast. I also noticed it seemed like the staff enjoyed their jobs and was having a good time, which is always nice to see. We will definitely stop in anytime we are in the area!

Our party of (6) had an amazing meal this early afternoon at Yolk....it is an important achievement to have all members of the party satisfied with their meal. Super service started out with tasty and well chilled cocktails anchored by several glasses of Ninkasi IPA!!! Your best option is the corn beef hash..... Make sure to stop in several times during your next visit to Manzanita!

My wife and I really loved this place for brunch! Building is really cute on the inside, and when you go, see if you can name all the dolls hanging from the bar area! All the staff were very friendly and it was cool seeing their interactions with not only the out of towners like ourselves, but with their local "regular" customers. My wife had the "Not you Popa's Plate and she said the eggs were cooked perfectly and the potatoes were very flavorful. I had the Chicken Sando and it was a great sandwich with a really yummy pesto aioli. Great stop for brunch when we visited Cannon Beach for the weekend!

Absolutely LOVE Yolk! Its food and service are great! Very popular, so a little loud, but don't let that deter you.

However, this weekend, every drink I've ordered has felt very lightweight and there's about an inch of drink missing from the top of the cup. Not a huge deal but kind of irritating when you're paying $6 per latte. I don't know what was wrong with today's drinks... there was a line out the door and the workers were flustered so I want to give the benefit of the doubt but the drinks are undrinkable. Both hot lattes taste like burned, sour milk. Very disappointed and debating whether or not it's worth the drive back into town to replace them.

But, even being a year round visitor, there are still some things that take getting used to like the limited hours for many restaurants. Even in the high season, the San Dune Pub is only open a few days a week and only during dinner hours. So, no lunch visits or late night drinking sessions. Also, no children allowed, just fur babies on the back patio. The best time to experience the San Dune is on a late summer afternoon or early evening on the back patio. It is a nice place to hang out sheltered from the traffic on Laneda and any strong wind coming off the beach. I've only ordered burgers and it hits the spot served on a brioche bun with a generous side of fries or tots. A funny quirk about the menu is that all of the cheeseburgers are the same price (currently $18). So whether you want a plain cheeseburger or the more extravagant Chipotle Bacon Chicken Burger, it is the same price. You can upgrade the side if you prefer salad or chowder. There are three large screens inside, so it is a place where you can watch a game, but there is also a wall with video poker machines that have the sound turned on, which is quite annoying. Personally, I'd turn left as you enter and stick to the quieter side of the dining space.

In fact, it was one of the most memorable stories I've heard all year from a long-time local. You see, in its current form, Marzano's operates solely as a take away pizza place several evenings a week. But, years ago, this location included a dining room. Imagine, if you will, a foggy night on the coast, off season, and you bring your family to Marzano's and order a bottle of wine to share with your partner and some Garlic Cheese Bread for the table to nibble on while your pizza bakes. When the pizza arrives hot from the oven and your cheeks are rosy as you are surrounded by the aroma and witness the cheese still bubbling as the mighty pie is delivered to your table. Hot pizza on a cold night is a magical thing. I've been a regular customer for the past year and have settled on the Combo Traditional as my favorite pie. Three sizes available (10, 14, and 18 inches) and slices on the large pizza are significant, so I recommend you have them double cut. They have a prime location only a couple blocks from the beach, so parking can be a bit of a challenge in the summer, but they do have short term parking out front. Now, one last tip from a semi-local... they don't accept timed orders. So it is a bit of a learning process to figure out when to order starting at 4:00p, since the wait can be anywhere from 20 minutes to 2-1/2 hours based on the day of the week and a few other factors. But, it is one of our favorite dinners in town if we time it right. I just can't help but wish I got to experience the Marzano's dining room on one of those long ago foggy nights.
