I've tried all the nearby restaurants multiple times, so I decided to give this one a shot for a new experience last night However, it was very disappointing. I've never encountered such a rude Asian waitress before. Perhaps it was because I asked her to replace a dirty napkin. She loudly said in front of everyone that it wasn't intentional and maybe a child at the next table dirtied it. Then she completely ignored us. Even when the food runner reminded her that we needed to order, she continued to nonchalantly wipe down a nearby table. In stark contrast, the white waitress was very enthusiastic, polite, and courteous. We still left a good tip and thanked all the staff when we left the restaurant, except for that Asian waitress who was sitting in a chair, responding in a manner reminiscent of a boss. Came here last night with a hometown girlfriend and had a fantastic time. We noticed the prices of the menu were a little higher than others in the area -- but we were pleasantly surprised with massive portions, fresh fish, and awesome service so it was totally worth it! The restaurant has a cute ambiance with chairs against a booth with a ton of fall pillows. They've also got some outdoor seating that looks nice! They checked our vaccination cards before we sat inside which was great. To start, we ordered the spicy scallion edamame and KiKi's Spicy Tuna Kakes. The edamame was VERY spicy so make sure you like that, and it was an enormous bowl! The "kakes" were large blocks of delicious crispy rice with a generous portion of spicy tuna on top and some great sauces. We only got a half order and that was plenty. We then ordered three rolls: the 49ers roll (salmon and lemon), a spicy tuna, and one other. Everything was fresh and delicious. My friend also ordered a side of spicy mayo and the server brought out a large ceramic gravy dish with a small spout -- she was thrilled! We couldn't get thru them because we were so full but I really enjoyed trying all of them. Next time we go, I think one appetizer and two rolls will be plenty! Will definitely be back! read more

This is based on a to go order. First off the prices are definitely not justified. Especially for the sashimi and rolls. Got a rainbow roll which was very small compared to real sushi restaurants and the slices of fish on top were extremely thin. The same can be said for the sashimi slices. Got the hot and sour soup which was painfully salty. Finally the Chinese chicken salad was unappetizing and also quite small. The chicken was shredded and there was very little of it. So overall I would not ever eat from here again. The sushi and sashimi tasted fine but the portions did not at all match the price. The rest of what I got was unappetizing and I ended up throwing it out. read more

Wow! I have had sushi all over the. World and this place, believe it or not has some of the Best Sake Nigiri I've ever had. They also have a roll call the 49er and it amazing. Start off with the tuna tacos, so good you can have it as your entree. Service with a smile and the decor is chic and eclectic. A few of our friends kept talking about this place so my husband and I decided to check it out. We walked in right when they opened and we were seated right away in the beautiful garden outdoor area. They have a very beautiful serene ambiance outdoors. They also had some blackberries fruit vines growing in their garden and we were encouraged to pick the fruit and try it. It was pretty cool! Food, we ordered the following: Pork Belly Buns - 5/5 this was so good the pork melts in your mouth, the dough for the bun is fresh and the marinate on the pork is sweet and tangy. Perfection! We devoured this quickly and I even ordered 1 order to go! Fried Chili Chicken - 5/5 fried chicken strips and the batter is marinated with some yummy chili flavor. I can only handle mild spice, this one is a bit spicier than I can handle but it was so good I kept eating it even though my tongue was burning. Godzilla Roll- 5/5 under the yummy fresh fish and sauce and rice is this yummy crunchy fried tempura. The sauce on the top was so good it's sweet that resembles teriyaki sauce but better. Fried Bananas - 4/5 overall this was good. The only issue we had was there was hardly any ice cream it was mostly melted and a lot of whip cream. I prefer a bit more ice cream. Overall, food here is so good. The fish is so fresh and it melts in your mouth. The ambiance is also very romantic and serene. The reason why I took one star out is because of our server. When we got seated we were pretty much the first customer in. The server came to us ready to take our order. I asked where the menu is she looked at me annoyed and pointed to the outdoor heaters where they have the scan code menu is taped. How am I supposed to know its my first time there? A few minutes later more guests came in. The same server greeted them nicely and asked if they would like a printed menu or is the scan code menu ok. We were like... we were not given the same option. Then, a few minutes later the same server asked the same guests if they would like a fan because it is warm outside. The guests said they were fine and suggested to the server to ask if we need a fan, of course she didn't ask us. I read other reviews about how regulars are treated differently than new guests. Now I understood why our server was extra nice to the guests next to us they might be regulars and we were first timers. Hoping for better service next time. We had a wonderful time, it was a beautiful evening with great company. Presentation- The food was beautifully displayed and the table setting was superb. Let's talk about food! Mediocre. The appetizers were underwhelming, over sauced, fairly un-memorable, but no complaints. We had the Rolling Lettuce Cups, Wonton Tuna Tartare Tacos, Edamame, and Brussel Sprouts. Sushi Rolls: Yo-Yo Roll, Hotel California Roll, Spider Maki, Hartz On Fire Roll, Orange Blossom Roll. They were mostly mediocre, not great cuts of fish but still edible, we did return one of the sushi rolls, it just didn't taste right. I'm not sure which one it was, two of my friends spit it out at the same time. They described it as "rotten fishy taste with an odd texture". No harm, we decided to return it and continue to enjoy our evening. Drinks- I ordered Berry Titos - $15 Fresh mixed berries, Tito' s handmade vodka, and fresh lemonade. It took a long time to come out and my friends already had their drinks while I was still waiting. Finally it came but was not worth the wait, watered down and boring. Let's talk about service! Our server hated us from the beginning, mostly just seemed angry, barked at us when we hesitated on our drink order, and walked away in the middle of my order without explanation. We decided to give her the benefit of the doubt, everyone is entitled to a bad day. She did come back and finished our order with a ton of attitude, treated us like we were annoying. Cut to returning a sushi roll, she yelled at us and said, "an employee ordered it earlier and said it was amazing", then reluctantly took it back. One of my friends was coming out of the bathroom and overheard our server making fun of us to another employee. I got up to use the restroom and the server looked me up and down and rolled her eyes. I have two small kids at home, I don't get out much and don't have a ton of confidence so this was very uncomfortable and slightly depressing. Final note: it was very expensive for mediocre food and poor service. There are so many other sushi restaurants in Danville, go somewhere else. read more

Yo's on Hartz is one of the best restaurants in the Danville area. From service, food and drinks it's all a 10/10. The owners are so sweet and go above and beyond to ensure you are having the best dining experience possible. They have a large variety of cocktails, beer and wine. One of my personal favorites is the Berry's Titos, it's super refreshing and goes great with anything on the menu. Now for the food, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu and everything is meant to be shared (or not, I wouldn't blame you if you didn't) but some of my favorites and most recommend go as follows: Wonton Tuna Tartare tacos: these are so delicious, crispy from the wontons, crunchy from the lettuce a bit sweet and spicy from the spicy Mayo. I could honestly go on forever about these wonton tacos but I'll spare you the extra read. These will turn any non raw foodie into a believer! Gyoza: made fresh from my understanding. These are served with a sweet and sour chili sauce that is just the right amount of kick. They're pan fried to perfection- the bottoms are slightly crunchy while the rest is light and fluffy. The food runner accidentally took our gyozas to the wrong table and the owner came out immediately to apologize for the inconvenience. It happens so of course no big deal but it was the immediate attention to detail that was noticed and greatly appreciated! Tangs fried rice: it's so flavorful that me and my other guests almost fought over who got the last bite. Chow Mein: super yummy, so full of flavor. Tons of veggies and noodles. I personally like the vegetarian option the best. Szechuan green beans: crispy and slightly spicy. Mongolian beef: probably one of my most favorite I've ever had. The meat is very tender, full of flavor and the ratio from meat to veggies is perfectly even. Honey walnut prawns: I had to save the best for last. If you're going to order anything from this list, make sure it's the prawns. Unless you're allergic then definitely don't do that. The honey walnut prawns are phenomenal. The sauce is creamy, sweet and just the best. read more
