The chefs cooking

Food is very good, workers are very friendly. They are fast. They also offer stamp cards for your purchase.

Server was very friendly and food was delicious! Great place to eat at if you're hungry while shopping

This is half eaten! Everything except the rice and noodles are cooked to order

Delicious chicken teriyaki and veggies both were cooked in front of us. Two meals with chicken, veggie rice and one with noodles were $21!!! Great option and super affordable. The service team were friendly too

Food terrible, terrible chicken, a lot of fat and frozen meats. I don't recommend to anyone buy this food.

I had a good experience at Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga). My family and I ordered about 12 dishes on…read moreour visit. The selection felt limited (mostly rolls, nigiri, and appetizers). The rolls came very saucy, and most plates had an aesthetic appearance. Personally, if I were to ever revisit this location, I'd only order the garlic noodles w/ shrimp & the nigiri. For this review, I will focus on the Lobster Tail Roll ($36), Gyoza ($14), and Monaka Ice Cream ($7). I arrived at Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) on Sunday (around 12:50PM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE. I had a reservation for 1PM, but a reservation felt superfluous since the restaurant was VERY empty. Throughout the entire dining experience, I only noticed one other group arrive. Staff is the HIGHLIGHT! Staff (receipt says JoJo) was the MAIN superstar. JoJo charmed the table; JoJo maintained a professional, kind demeanor; and JoJo worked very hard. JoJo gave excellent recommendations, and JoJo maintained a friendly, bright smile throughout our visit. Regarding food, it felt inconsistent. The food in the beginning was plated elegantly and carefully. However, as time progressed, it felt like the kitchen was beginning to rush despite the lack of customers. Food arrived very slowly, and later plates looked a little splattered and untidy. Thankfully, most of the food was very good. It's a journey of texture, fresh ingredients, and light & bright flavors. The Lobster Tail Roll ($36) had fried lobster bits, asparagus, avocado, masago, eel sauce, and mayo. It tasted like a vegetable roll at times. The Gyoza ($14 - 6 Piece) was panfried with seasoned pork and vegetables. Tasty!! And the Monaka Ice Cream ($7) is tiny with Macaroon Shell and a small scoop of Green Tea Ice Cream. All in all, these dishes didn't feel special, but they were prepared well enough. On ambiance, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is very attractive. The location is dimly lit, very clean, and spacious. However, the music is awkward at times. There were moments where light, lovely music was playing... only for random yelling music to briefly appear... to then suddenly be replaced with a country-style song. It all felt surreal. I don't think it was intended, but I think their music playlist was accidentally switched to the wrong track. Overall, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is an interesting experience. Honestly, the only reason this review is "5 Stars" is because our waitress was EXEMPLARY. Although the ambiance and cooking staff was lackluster, the front of house is MAGIC. This is a not bad, pricey place. 4.5 out of 5

My bestie and I had the best time here! I had been wanting to try this place forever!!!…read more I made reservations online for us, and as things turned out, we were going to be about 15 minutes late for our reservation. I called to let them know and they were completely understanding! When we arrived, we were greeted and seated promptly. Waters were brought to the table quickly as well. The decor in this place is amazing! They were also playing really good music! We started with the combination carpaccio which was perfect because we each got to try the tuna, salmon and yellowtail. It was delicious! Then we ordered the Surf & Turf roll which is spicy crab and coconut shrimp, topped with seared Wagyu, truffle oil yuzu, and eel sauce--absolutely incredible! Next was the Kuwada roll which is crab, avocado and tempura flakes, topped with baked lobster, eel sauce, and masago. The presentation on this one was extraordinary--and the flavor was amazing! Finally we finished with the Shrimp Lover Roll which is crab shrimp tempura and cucumber, topped with shrimp, avocado, spicy mayo, and eel sauce--another winner! Jojo did an excellent job serving and clearing plates, as well as keeping our water filled! This place is a treasure and I can't wait to go back!

Delicious! Simply delicious!…read more Best beef bone broth I've had in a long time. Best chicken bone broth my friends had in a long time too. We also ordered the salt & pepper prawns appetizer. Cooked perfectly. Really good portions for the price. I was definitely FULL after eating my entire bowl of the Ontario Combination Pho. My friend couldn't finish her chicken pho. Food came out quickly. Server was very friendly and attentive. Water glasses were never empty. Wait time was 15-18 minutes via the Yelp waitlist, but we were seated within 5 minutes, so that was great. Because I was starving after a long day of traveling home. It was a little noisy in the restaurant but wasn't too loud, we could still talk and hear each other without yelling. Definitely would come back again!

SO delicious, I'm beyond glad we ordered it. The mussels this time around were seriously soooo good. This is hands down my go-to spot for all-you-can-eat sushi. Worth every penny, every time. The space doesn't remind me of a sushi restaurant and more of a sports bar, but the space was playing the World Cup and was fit for the occasion. Their AYCE is a great price ($39.99), excluding their premium sushi rolls. Since I refrain from ordering rolls at an AYCE, this part didn't bother me much. We maxed out all the limited items, which was very generous, however, I wasn't sure of how many rounds were available, or how many pieces total were going to be included in the limited items, so we ended up with a LOT of nigiri. Our service was great, but spotty at several times. I loved all the nigiri items, especially the peppered salmon, ikura, and halibut. I'd pass on the red clam nigiri, and the fried appetizers as they were big portions but very filling! Delicious melt in your mouth pieces of yellowtail and salmon were the highlights for me. My friends enjoyed their unagi, and our friend's daughter enjoyed all the cooked items. Overall, I could say I understand the appeal of the restaurant!

Shokunin | Visited 6/29/26…read more - Food: The fish was super fresh, I appreciate that the flavor profile was simple! I find that sometimes places will overcompensate with adding different touches when it's not necessary. I would have liked if the course ended with tomago since thats what I am used to at more traditional places. We received complimentary cheesecake at the end one matcha and one yuzu. If you had to pick, I would definitely opt for the Matcha! - Ambiance: The vibe was casual, I felt like they welcomed you as you are. No need to dress up, the focus is on the food. I did appreciate the chef made people waitlist so his attention could focused on my party of 4, this was a nice touch. - Service: We love the two chefs that were there, they explained each fish and put on a show when they brought out the smoke!! The waitress was amazing and hilarious she always made sure that the sake didn't stop coming! I would like to note that making a reservation is 100% the way to go so you don't get turned away and so the chefs are prepared for you. Also come earlier when we arrived at 8, they were out of blue crab.
