But here's the kicker-- when I called to ask them if they could refund the $1.48 it to my card, they said that "I had to show them my receipt by driving all the way back there." Most places will understand there was a mistake and refund it over the phone. I told them that they had not given me my receipt and that they need to just take a look at my bank account because the charge is on there. They said "no we just have to see the receipt In person." Also, when I was at the register, there is a subtle pressure to leave a tip for them just dishing up the food. The cashier weights and stairs while you decide how much to tip on the receipt. Unfortunately, I left a dollar tip in because I was so busy. I didn't realize I had already been charged already way too much! I'm not sure if these people are racist or not because I am not Vietnamese. The owners are Vietnsmese. Also, the lady I spoke with on the phone that said I had to come in with my receipt--her name is Lee. But as soon as she told me her name, she said I'm not gonna be here tomorrow. You're just gonna have to tell someone else your story.

I had such a great experience at Yoshinoya recently, and a big part of that was thanks to Eddie! He was not only incredibly helpful and attentive, but also so handsome and professional--it definitely made the visit more memorable. Eddie handled everything with a smile, made sure my order was perfect, and even took the time to check in and make sure everything was okay. First time at this yoshinoya and it was nice at first, then i got my food. When i got it my fhick was severely undercooked and super rubbery. I told the person at the register and they asked me if i wanted it well done. Chicken should never be that undercooked on a day that is not busy. And even though I have had bad experiences with this Ono's link that have resulted in some tummy grumbles, I can forgive because I understand that sometimes I am an unlucky duck that receives the worst of a business day. But this review is not meant to shoot down this place, quite the contrary it is meant to celebrate this place all the ducking way! The fare is Hawaiian inspired, and typically solid. And it can be healthy (grilled chicken) or indulgent (katsu- Asian fried chicken) and even unnecessary in an extra side kind of way (musubi or cream cheese wontons/ragoons). My recommendation is to stick to a combo---- protein, steam greens, side of rice and macaroni salad. I forego the macaroni salad and add a side salad or extra rice, depending on the time of day. All of this to say that this place is a strong conceptual choice for fast food that feels clean and island-like. And now, to the specific reason as to why I Yelp for this place an employee of the joint who goes by the name of Alicia. This place is the move, often a time for me. And I have been to this place so much that Alicia knows my voice and knows my order. It is kind of great to drive, and have someone know your name. Now the Cheers theme song impacts me in a different way. Alicia is friendly, never in a rush, makes me feel like I am the only customer in the world (shout out to Riri) and is attentive to a fault. I think, due to our brief banter the line grew a little bit longer than it should have. But again, Alicia did not make me feel like it was a problem. She made me feel like we were on Island time. She is also a salt to the earth type of person, a down-to- roll, kind of girl because she posed for her moment in the light. Workers like here elevate a fast food choice to a welcomed visit.

Greasy chicken, not thoroughly cooked, the red beans and rice looked weird and the biscuits tasted like Play-Doh with sugar added - I'm sure many have tasted a little Play-Doh when you were a kid. Furthermore, when I make a specific request and ask for a refund if something is unavailable, I expect that request to be honored. Instead of breasts, they sent thighs without any communication. If breasts aren't available, refund me and remove them from the menu, especially since I paid extra for something I didn't get. To sum it up, I won't be ordering from here again, nor will I be visiting in person. I suggest others think twice before considering this place too.
