They reopened the place looks amazing I missed them so much is one of my favorite places to eat with my family

I ordered online, my payment went through, and I drove to the restaurant only to discover it was closed for a three-week renovation. There was no warning when I placed the order, no notification afterward, and no way to reach anyone. The owner of the business next door told me they've watched multiple customers over the last several days arrive confused and upset because they're still accepting online orders while the location is closed. There's no excuse for continuing to take customers' money when you know you can't fulfill the orders. Online ordering should have been disabled, or customers should have been clearly informed before being charged. This was a complete waste of time and a very frustrating experience. read more

I used to love this place prior to renovations. Once they reopened back in July after renovations the food is way off and not the same like it used to be. I ordered a steak and a salmon plate and BOTH meats were way over cooked and dry. The steak is cubbed now and is not the same taste or texture as it's been years prior, burnt now. The gyoza was good and had us hopeful for a good meal, however the spicy tuna roll was probably the worst I've ever had. It was the only time I've ever had a spicy tuna roll where the tuna wasn't ground. If I was blindfolded, I wouldn't know it was a spicy roll. The tuna smelled fishy and you can tell it's just a low quality fish. I've had better at the Harris teeter sushi bar. The Philadelphia roll was mid at best, as it was just a basic roll. Since our favorite Asian restaurant seems to be closed "Loong" my son said I should try Yoshi... I got take out 1-Shrimp Hibachi and Chicken hibachi both with fried rice. Came with the yum yum sauce and we got a ginger salad... Everything thing was fantastic. I really did like the decor and will take my wife there. I've been eating here at least once a week for nearly five years since I started working in Huntersville, and it's easily one of the most consistently good restaurants I've ever been to. The hibachi is excellent, the sushi is always spot on, and they're incredibly fast and friendly. I usually order takeout, but the restaurant is always clean, well run, and even when they're busy, the food is ready quickly with no long lines. read more

The Aesthetic: It has a quick counter service, no frills look, with a very cute logo of who I'm guessing is Yoshi. The Price: As far as I'm aware, this is the best priced, quality sushi in the CLT metro area. The rolls run from $6 to $12, so I don't feel as bad getting 2. Their combos are the best value, I love the one where you get 2 sushi rolls, a side and a drink for $15. Literally the price of one roll in the city. The Parking: It's a big busy plaza, so it's been hit or miss when I've come. The weekends are packed, so you may end up parking pretty far unless you get a lucky spot. My Order: My favorite is the Moon Roll, it's a classic spicy tuna, cream cheese and cucumber roll. I've also tried the Rainbow roll and Avocado roll, and both were yummy. The sides I've had left something to be desired, so I just focus on the sushi. The Conclusion: This is the best "bang for your buck"sushi around, I highly recommend trying it. read more

I've been wanting to try a meal from here for awhile now and finally stopped in. I actually ordered my meal online for store pickup. Parking in this shopping center can get a little crazy but I had no prob in the early evening timeframe. It appears to be newly renovated, not sure if that's the case, but it looks nice inside. What I didn't realize is that there's a walk up window for pickup and a separate window where you can place an order. So no need to wait in a lengthy line if you've ordered your meal in advance. The prices are reasonable and the options are plentiful. I ordered teriyaki chicken with jumbo shrimp, broccoli and carrots. It was seasoned well and it was tasty, but a little salty. This isn't a meal I could eat on the regular for that reason but it was good. The portion was good too. Worth a try if you're in the area. read more

Looking for food on a Friday evening and decided to order from Yoshi's Grill. At first, I was little hesitant to do so, based on reviews that indicated they were super slow. However, that wasn't my experience. Ordered online (website takes your order through Chow Now) and got my receipt, indicated igneous take about 15 mins. Well it was spot on, as my food was waiting for me up one arrival. So I guess the order wait time may depend on the time of day. I ordered the combo meal (2 meats, rice, a side and drink) with steak and shrimp hibachi w/ fried rice. It was a good meal for the price. The staff welcomed me upon arrival and got me out within 2-3 mins of being there. I was also SUPER impressed to see the sanitation score!! Shows they run a clean and tidy ship! Yoshi's is a good place for when you're craving some hibachi or teriyaki grilled food, sushi and other Asian fare, served quickly and at a decent price. As you come in there is a very large menu board on the right hand side. Once you decide you step up to the counter, place your order, receive your drinks and take your number/stand to a seat either inside or on a small patio outside. When the food is ready, out it comes to your table. While the sushi isn't the best around it is definitely fresh and affordably priced for what you get with a good many options. The hibachi/teriyaki features your standard meat choices with rice and veg. The portions are good as are the flavors, including the sauces. Sometimes it can come across to my palate as overly salty but it's rare, fairly minor and beats the heck out of it being under seasoned. There are a good many options around for this kind of meal and to me, Yoshi's is one of, if not the best. read more

driving home from the airport and needing a little something filling but not too filling, something light and at least pretending at nutritional content. it was kinda late-ish and very Tuesday out so our options were limited. got as far as Huntersville and spotted Yoshi's on the way to somewhere else. took a few minutes to sort out the food options on the wall sized menu but settled on hibachi chicken plus seaweed salad, vegetable tempuras, hot tea and a cold soda. ahhh... cool refreshing soda for me but MLB's tea was pretty much too hot to drink for a while :-( hibachi chicken was hot, moist, flavory bird chunks tossed with grilled mushrooms and accompanied by fried rice and some nicely grilled broccoli; wilted but not charred. the seaweed salad was interesting; a little plate of shredded seaweed in a tart sesame dressing dressed up with sesame seeds. neat! and fun! who'd have thunk it? the vegetable tempura was standard fare and fairly well done: biggish pieces fried and dried arrive in a boat with soy in the live well! my biggest question is why can't I get cauliflower or sweet potato in the carolinas? read more

Yoshis is one of my favorite places to eat in Huntersville. I've been coming here since I was in high school (2012) and the food quality has never wavered. When I lived in Huntersville, I came here all the time but since moving to South Charlotte I hadn't been in a while. I took my dad here for lunch and had a great time. It was completely empty and the weather was perfect so we decided to sit outside. I ordered the Yoshi Combo #3 that came with a sushi roll, choice of meat, choice of rice and side. I chose the California roll, hibachi beef, fried rice and grilled broccoli. To share we ordered the tempura appetizer and the yakisoba noodles w/beef. Everything was delicious as always but what really sets the entire meal off is the shrimp sauce! Not saying you should drink it but you definitely could if you wanted to! I love how cheap this place is for hibachi. I came in for lunch and was able to get an entire hibachi steak meal for $11. (Minus a drink) the biggest downside is that they take FOREVER to get your food out. I had the hibachi steak with fried rice, mushrooms, onions, and zucchini. It tasted great when you added the ginger and shrimp sauce . I missed having their sweet carrots but sometimes you gotta try something new!
