I would have given them at least four stars if it wasn't for the forgetful lady whose the owners sister. I mentioned numerous times that I'm ordering for me and my daughter, with this said... First off, she got my order wrong and gave me only one order of California rolls when I ordered two for me and my daughter. Then, she only put two small soy sauce packets in my to go bag when I ordered 2 California rolls and 2 cucumber rolls, so I had to go back in and ask for more soy sauce packets. Then I realized as I was about to get ready to eat that she only put one pair of chopsticks in my bag, so I had to go back in for the third time!!! Thank goodness I was eating in my car in front of the restaurant due to the Coronavirus we were not allowed to dine inside. If I had driven off and realized that these items were missing, it would have been even more annoying. Ok, maybe she's just having a stressful day but the least she could have done was apologize for her mistakes for the inconvenience that her customer had to go through to walk back in two other times before getting everything that should have been there to begin with!!! I regret adding tip for poor service, especially on a to go order which people customarily don't add tip. Despite the poor service, the California rolls were very good. I paid almost double for real crab meat in the California rolls but it was pretty fresh and tasty so I didn't mind as much as I did about the absent minded lady that lacks common courtesy. These are hard times and customer service is huge for repeat business. read more

Ok, going against the grain here on reviews but as an avid sushi junkie, I was left pretty disappointed . The sushi and rolls were fine( not amazing ). I was here before and had a different server that was really great. This time a very awkward experience. The biggest turn off was I we stayed until closing and they started flashing lights and turned music wayyy up. Ok hint hint, you want us to leave, just ask. This is probably the worst take out experience I've had in a while from a place with such raving reviews. I would understand if their restaurant was busy, but not even a quarter of their booths were taken up. We were told it would be about a 20 minute wait and 40 minutes later they STILL had not started our order. For the price that I payed, adequate service was not provided. Not even a few minutes after we asked about our order (now pushing about 45 minutes) our order was almost ready. This place is an absolute dream in terms of food quality. I rarely order individual pieces of sushi because it's so expensive and typically not worth the price, but the scallops, tuna, shrimp, etc are all marvelous and fresh. Youandi Sushi really helped with our Tokyo vacation/foodie paradise hangover over the summer. They have the freshest fish and creatively delicious rolls. The sushi chef, Chef Chris, came by tableside to make an awesome recommendation on the red snapper after we tried ordering the toro. (A large party came in the day before and another shipment was expected a day after.) Prepared with garlic ponzu/yuzu it was a delectable bite. Everything was really impressive, the salad, miso soup, and edamame were perfect and they gave us each a scoop of free ice cream at the end (red bean or vanilla.) We got the Bambam roll (amazing), hotate (yay! They actually have it!), and unagi sushi (melts in your mouth). The service was stellar, especially since we came 30 mins before closing. And for two super nostalgic tourists it was almost too much when I heard the server speaking to Chef Chris in Japanese. This. Place. Is. Legit. We went here at about 5pm mid-week so it wasn't very busy. The service was decent. Most of the rolls we ordered were swimming in a soy based sauce so too salty. The baked scallop roll tasted a little too fishy, which led me to believe it wasn't fresh. I did like the skinny fat roll but then again the chef's special sauce was soy sauce based, but on this roll they didn't pour it all over the top (it was in the center of a bowl) so I could just not use it. All in all, I probably won't come here again. read more

This is the old Daiko sushi and although the inside is relatively unchanged, the sushi is much better quality! Sushi rice before used to fall apart but I recently went back (didn't know restaurant had changed) and was really surprised. Great, friendly service staff, quality fish, affordable prices... By far the best authentic sushi place in Temecula/Murrieta. Kitchen sink was good, toro was solid, uni was solid, but the tuna & yellowtail was real good. Oshima in Orange is my favorite spot by far, but having relocated to Temecula, Youandi would be good enough. I went for the first time tonight and am already planning my next visit. The menu is creative and composed of high quality ingredients. The servers are welcoming and attentive. And I met the chef/owner (Chris), who is clearly fulfilling his life's calling. He is passionate about his craft, and it shows in the product. Amazing!! This was our first, but far from our last visit. The moment we walked in the door we were greeted and seated at a booth. Our serve was a delight and was very knowledgeable with the menu and answer our questions fully. The atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable. The rolls beat our expectations. If you want to be full after dinner, go here! We used to visit the prior establishment in this location and would eat 7 rolls to fill us up, but not the new place. We ordered the calamari and the lunch special with 3 half orders of rolls: philly roll, rainbow roll and I love sushi roll.
