Delicious food, cute ambience. I ordered "Tastes of the Sea" (pictured) and the seafood was perfectly cooked.

I stopped here for lunch this week. By it being less than a mile from the capitol, I figured they had internet for their customers, especially during lunch. I asked the waitress for the password and she told me they didn't have Wi-Fi. I then search for local networks and I see the name "Young Chow." I've the ask again about the internet. First she tells me that the password doesn't work and in the same sentence she finishes it with, the internet is slow because of door dash, etc. Shortly after my colleague arrives, I explained to her that they do not offer internet. We both decided to leave and on the way out, the waitress said she would ask the owner for the internet information. Now which one was it? I simply let her know that we were no longer interested after I asked her three different occasions. By the way, I was the only one in the restaurant. Happy New Year.

the food here is so good! i've had the vegetable lo mein twice and while the quality is inconsistent and variable, it's still been delicious both times. i also ordered the general tso's tofu last night and it was incredible. the service is really attentive and quick; i had a friend who has celiac and the server brought over some gluten free soy sauce for her so she could fully enjoy her meal. it was quiet and nice and i liked the wall of famous people. definitely will return when im in this neighborhood!

Lemon Chicken, Hong Kong Chow Fun

This review is for take out/delivery. Overall I would give 3.5, if half stars were a thing. We ordered lemon chicken, that came with white jasmine rice, and char siu Hong Kong style chow fun. Our order was ready for the delivery pick up pretty quickly. The food was packed well, I appreciate the sauce was packed separate from the chicken, to keep it from getting soggy. The lemon chicken was ok. Some pieces were heavily battered and the sauce was different from what I'm used to. The sauce was a little more orange in color, and I think had some pulp or something in it--it wasn't bad, just different. The chow fun had good amount of char siu in it and the ratio was good. It was a tad bit on the oily side. Price wise, it was a little expensive for Chinese food, but that might be just DC normal.

What's not to love about sushi and Chinese food. Soon as I get pass the entrance I'm blessed with a genuine greeting... I'm usually do the dumpling and sip on a Zombie drink while I decide what I'll be having for my main dish. It's so many options that you are overwhelmed but still excited to consume some good food. They also have a good Happy Hour and a lot of my favorite items on it. The ambiance is the only thing they need to work on here. I wish they was able to spice it up a bit or give it a good facelift..

Their shrimp tempura is HUGE!! It was soooo filling and to be honest, the best shrimp tempura I've had in a very long time. They have tons of menu items, including a variety of vegan/vegetarian options. The service is very speedy, and the staff were very friendly! Seating is petty comfy and there's lots of photos of their famous customers. I enjoyed my time here and plan on coming back soon!

Family and I came here for dinner. The food quality was good. The service was good and the eating area was comfortable. The next time we come in the area we will come again

The pad Thai tasted awful! The crab Rangoons tasted pretty good. Not sure I'll ever order from this place again.

I don't have high expectations for generic Chinese restaurants like this but even by those standards Young Chow is especially bland.

It's located on the second floor of the street building, and the dining room wasn't crowded as it was still a bit early for the afternoon rush. We ordered the three-fresh steamed bun recommended by our server, but there were no eggs inside, and we weren't fond of the flavor -- the bun was just mediocre. The cumin beef was pretty good, and the two noodle dishes were decent, though the noodles lacked chewiness; they were probably not hand-rolled fresh. The biggest highlight was the stir-fried pea sprouts, which tasted fantastic. Overall, the food quality is acceptable. I would rate the general dishes 4 out of 5, but the steamed buns only deserve a 2. The staff were friendly during our meal. One thing left us confused when we got the bill: an 18% service charge had already been automatically added. We are still getting familiar with customs in the US, so we are unsure whether this pre-added charge is mandatory or if customers have the discretion to adjust it. We have rarely encountered this arrangement at other restaurants and wonder if it is just the practice unique to this Chinese eatery.

With that, I must say that the reviews did not lie...gosh this food was AMAZING! The combination lo mein contained roasted pork, chicken, and shrimp. I added vegetables to the mix and honey, I was pleasantly surprised by the quantity (made for 3 small meals) but also the quality of the dish. The roasted pork, shrimp, and chicken was perfectly prepared and the lo mein was just right. The flavors combined together for a lite yet delectable dish and I especially loved the vegetables (bok Choy) I would absolutely order here again as long as the quality doesn't change.

Hubs enjoyed his cheesesteak but he prefers meat. I had a bite and thought it was really flavorful and very closely tasting like the real thing. I noticed later this is a chain, which is pretty cool. I think the prices were pretty steep so I might skip on the fries next time. The food could have been warmer as well. Definitely worth a visit and will most likely be back when in DC again.
