Flavor and freshness are my two most important things when eating crawfish. I could tell the crawfish were fresh and clean. The flavor is balanced with cajun spices and heat level. Not too spicy and not lacking flavor. There is an abundance of flavor when you suck the head... this is a tell tell sign of soaking vs sprinkling with seasoning.... which is most important to me. They were juicy through and through. I appreciated the extra boil juice. The crawfish were quite enjoyable. I also enjoyed the whole pieces of tender garlic included in the bunch. The touch of whole garlic was a first for me I enjoyed each piece. The corn was sweet and plump, sausage was nice and mild with a nice snap, little baby red potatoes are naturally buttery and perfectly cooked... not over done. Service and attention to detail was on point and well coordinated. The food was ready when I got there and still warm and perfect when I got home. I give them a solid 10/10. It was worth the nearly 1 hour going and 1 hour coming back. read more

They are not a restaurant but a family that drives down to Louisiana every weekend to bring back live crawfish. They sell live on Saturday and boiled on Sunday. They live on a court several streets off Cross Timbers. You pull up, park, look for house that has a yellow crawfish flag and knock on door. They invite you in and they have the goods warm in a cooler. They send you an email with time to come by and pick up. Pay and go home and enjoy. Real nice folks. Feel like they are your old friend next door. 5/5 size of them. Some were larger than others I have had. 4/5 juicy and cooked perfectly. They get real mushy if over done. 4/5 Not super Spicy. My brother in law was in town from Cali and the hubster was wanting some crawfish to soothe their craving. They are originally from New Orleans, so they have high expectations when it comes to their crawfish and how it's prepared. I found the Crawfish Connection on Yelp under Hot New Businesses and thought we'd give them a try. What better way to eat crawfish than from the comforts of your home, drinking beers while watching some sports. We requested an order of 5lbs, then changed it 2 times, ending up ordering 13lbs with sausage, potato and corn. They were very accomodating and responsive via text/email. Picked up the order and everything was ready to go. The family is really friendly, from Slidell (if I remember correctly), and the crawfish was cooked right. You could taste and see the lemon, garlic, and onion used to season the boil. I don't eat crawfish, but ended up partaking in the feast by eatting the claws. The claw meat was sweet and tasted like little pieces of crab to me. The only "complaint" (if you can call it that) was that we requested some kick/heat to the seasoning since we like spicy food. Not hot enough for us, but gives us another reason to order again and bump this up to 5 stars! read more
