I had the omelet with spinach, mushrooms and peppers, toast and hash browns and a side of bacon. Food was tasty and filling. My husband had the Doritos nachos and a side of tater tots. He really liked his meal. Our friends also liked their food. Roughly $70 for the four of us. Love that they offer military discount. The staff were friendly, helpful. The premise is actually quite interesting-similar to build your own Mexican or sandwich spots, they allow you to build your own breakfast. You have 2 options - 2 egg or 3 egg plates. Lots of options for toppings, 1 protein per selection & 1 potato option per selection. You can, of course, add on a ton of options, from pancake, waffle & gravy. Lots of options and made to order. Nothing is premade, so everything is fresh. The gentlemen working the counter were wonderful! Very kind and accommodating for our gluten free little one. The lunch menu is small and straight to the point. I wasn't in the mood for vegetarian tacos so I ordered a sandwich without meat. Tater tots and veggie sandwich was about $17 buck and although it was delicious that's very friggin pricey for an off strip eatery that doesn't offer avocado. For a simple sandwich with bacon, tomatoes, lettuce and onions and a side of fries it was $13.50. I must add though, the French fries were AMAZING, and my sandwich bread was toasted to perfection. The interior is your standard order-at-the-counter grab a seat kind of place. It's essentially a Chipotle, Blaze Pizza, Subway concept but for breakfast. I got a pancake and I seriously have never eaten a fluffier or better pancake. I don't know what the secret is. The egg skillet was also spot on, cooked perfectly. Absolutely love this family owned spot! I love that you can build your meal and that you can see them cooking it as you're ordering. Their customer service is great even when packed. They don't let being busy with a lot of customers overwhelm them. Service is still given with a smile and the willingness to make sure you're enjoying your meal. Basically how it works is you choose toppings (up to 3, more for additional $), egg style, potatoes, protein, and toast (or you can upgrade to a waffle or pancakes). He had spinach, peppers, and mushrooms, omelet style with turkey sausage, hash browns, and sourdough toast. I really wish I could say great things about the food, but the eggs and veggies weren't seasoned, and weren't cooked enough. The toast wasn't toasted, and the waffle (although flavorful) could've been cooked longer. My over medium eggs were closer to sunny side up, and the veggies were crunchy. The hash browns were good though. Even though the food wasn't the best, I'm giving three stars because their customer service is top notch. We were greeted warmly, and they took the time to explain how to order. The staff here really knows how to make you feel welcome and appreciated. You don't find that kind of service at many places. The staff walked us through how to order and talked story with us during our meal. They were SO friendly and helpful! Now the food! We got a plate that came with toppings of your choice, sides, and meats. We got veggies with our over-easy eggs and bacon and upgraded to pancakes. Came in on my day off (I actually work at a Brunch restaurant, but we are closed on Mondays), was up early as always so I decided to try this place up the street from home. I ordered sausage gravy on top of sourdough with a sunny side up egg as well as an apple juice. They cook it in front of you so you know it's fresh!! Walking in, I was immediately impressed by the restaurant's clean and inviting atmosphere. Bright lights with shiny walls contributed to a "good morning" ambiance. The two associates were exceptionally nice!! My eggs were a bit too wet for me, but I'll have them cooked a little longer next time. Just a preference thing. They were properly seasoned. The grits came in their own paper cup, but were very bland and in desperate need of salt. Of course, this was easily remedied. My toast was browned only on one side. Interesting texture as one side was crunchy while the other was soft. However, the amount of butter was perfect. There was a choice of Strawberry, Grape and Mixed Fruit individual jam containers. My wife's meal was also flavorful and she enjoyed it very much. Her waffle had a mild cinnamon taste with a soft and fluffy interior and a crunchy outside. It was properly prepared. The bacon had the correct amount of medium crunch. Unfortunately, there was NO sugar free syrup available. Coffee was generated by a Keurig. There was no fat free creamer, though there was half & half and a nice variety of flavored creamers. A soda dispenser had the usual fare along with one of my favorites, Horchata. A very delightful addition to my morning. Overall, the interactions with the associates were the best I have experienced in many years. I really wanted to like this place since the reviews were so high compared to other spots but this was unfortunately disappointing. Here's a quick list of things that were good! 1. Pancakes can a nice flavor to them. They were a little different and it tasted like they added a cornbread mix to it of some sort. Either way I think it was a pleasant and unique tasting pancake 2. Their ingredients were visibly fresh. It's was refreshing to see this. 3. Their customer service was amazing. Attentive when we stepped in, guided us on how to order and were available to assist whenever we needed them However.... here is where I feel they could have improved. 1. Their food... although tasty lacked salt. It is a basic ingredient that can be incorporated when things are cooking and it would have made the omelette taste better. 2. They have no toppings for their pancakes. Options were plain or plain. Butter and syrup were included but I really feel they missed out here and it just left me feeling like something was missing. They stated it wasn't on the menu for cost purposes but I would have paid extra for some fresh fruit or chocolate chips. Even some whipped cream would have been nice. 3. The patty melt was the saddest sandwich I've ever had. It was a mix of ground beef mash and some other stuff inbetween two pieces of bread. A patty melt is an grilled sandwich consisting of a ground beef patty topped with melted cheese and caremelized onions between two slices of griddled seeded-rye bread. This was not that at all. So sad. 4. For a restaurant that is so concerned with cost they were very happy using paper and plastic products. Reusable plates and cups are always an option and this just seemed wasteful. I hope they fix this in the future. Their customer service was amazing and that is usually the hardest to come by.
