Lumberjacks is an American Style Casual Restaurant that also serves all day breakfast. They are a small Californian chain with around seven locations in California and so far just one location in North Las Vegas. I did notice that they also offer a children's menu and also a senior's menu. It's woody and rustic inside with two dining areas. They offer a mix of booths and traditional tales. I didn't notice a bar or even bar drinks anywhere but they do have a few beer bottles on the front desk shelf and a few empty wine glasses. I didn't notice alcohol on the menu. We were warmly greeted as we arrived and were asked if we wanted a table or a booth. I picked booth. It was large and had plenty of room to seat more people. Not the most comfortable booth. I might go with table next time. Our server was extra kind and also very cheerful. She took our order and my husband got to start with a cup of soup just after the beverages. He said that the soup of the day (chicken tortilla) was unusually VERY GOOD. I tried the Apple Fuji Salad. What really stood out was how fresh and crisp the soft greens were. I don't think I ever had fresh soft greens so fresh and crisp before anywhere. I also enjoyed the rest of the salad because the chicken was moist, warm, tender, and seasoned nice. The embellishments and also the dressing were very good. My husband enjoyed the Chicken Fried Steak. I should have stopped here but the blackberry cobbler sounded so good that I felt the need to try it. It's very different than what I was expecting. Instead of a cobbler it's more like an enormous muffin that is not too sweet and packed with like a whole pie amount of blackberry filling. (This is enough for four people). The service was over the top and both the host or manager? and our server both made us feel like VIP's and the food was much better than I expected with the current Yelp 3 star star average. We like that this place is close and we plan to try again!

We definitely felt like a bunch of Lumberjacks after eating at this restaurant. My husband and I had met up with a couple of our friends for brunch since we were already on this side of town. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, so the hostess sat us down pretty quickly, and our server arrived at a timely manner. When it comes to eating at diners we usually get breakfast fare since it's one of our favorite go-to meals. We ordered a few of their classic breakfast items such as the Chicken Fried Steak, the Lumberjack two egg classics, and some french toast. Our food took quite sometime to arrive, but it came piping hot and it smelled absolutely delicious. Our server recommended trying their homemade biscuits but I felt it was just mid in flavor. It was kind of hard and not really memorable. The classic breakfast meals were good but it lacked seasoning. On the other hand, my husband absolutely loved his breakfast. He said the Chicken Fried Steak was one of the best he's had in a long time. It was cooked to perfection, with fluffy eggs, and delicious gravy. Overall, the service was very attentive, the food was decent, and the whole ambiance gave you that nostalgic diner feel.

Country Fried Steak special. Around $10 and it comes with pudding.

Tried this for the first time and loved it! They have specials for about $10, and it's a lot of food! Everyone liked what they got, and we'll absolutely be back. Service was excellent, too.

The big ass lumberjack breakfast. I had them add sausage gravy to my extra crunchy hash browns. Excellent.

Another rereview. Lumberjack just does good food and has good service. All served in such a comfortable spot. I told you we would be back and we were. Loved everything. Wish they were a bit closer.

The food smelled and tasted amazing. Really big portions. The service was amazing and all the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The ambulance was playful and comfortable and low key and casual. It was not loud to where you had to speak over the music like most. Like every chain restaurant, the food is getting pricey so just be aware that you will spend almost $50 for two people. Awesome MILITARY/1st-Responder Discounts! (10%)

The service was excellent and all of the lovely ladies were very attentive . The food was really good and tasty . The portions were ginormous and we all had plenty for left overs . I loved all the different options on the menu , and if you leave hungry that's your fault . Can't wait to come back .

My wife and I have went here a few times and for the most part have been satisfied with our meals. It definitely seems to mimic the Black Bear Diner aestetic in which I'm not a huge fan of that particular franchise but....that would be another review of its own. In the occasions we've been there, we've had dinner a few times and breakfast. I suspect they are more known for their breakfasts. I've had their Big Jack's Skillet. I've found it to be flavorful, somewhat ample, and cooked right to enjoy. The only thing I thought was odd was....who serves 1 slice of toast cut in half as opposed to 2 slices?? This is the first place I've come to in my whole life that did this. Especially when the motto is you get lumberjack portions when you eat here....in some cases it may be true.....others, it seems portions are served on bigger plates. Wife and I have had their fish and chips a couple times and NY steak (my apologies, not pictured). Both have been hit or miss. Apparently, depends on who's cooking in the back. One instance I had to return a plate of fish and chips due to food being a little undercooked and then was told that was from the head cook. Holy moly.... I mean, all in all, not a bad spot. Places have their on and off days. Hopefully, more on than off. I did find that their service is really good and they are absolutely attentive. The price point is really reasonable, too. I will be back to try out some of their other menu items. I hear some of their dessert items are to die for....I just haven't gotten that far yet! 3.5 stars. Cheers!

First of all. This place can get filled, especially on Sunday after church-so you may have to wait if you have a large party. My family loves this place and if I ever try to tale them somewhere else, they will let mw know it wasnt as good as Lumberjacks. The food is great! Good sized portions, and many options. There are also specials available. What makes this restaurant our go-to choice, is the friendly service. We always feel welcome and valued. The steak breakfast is the best we've had anywhere. Im a fan of the avocado toast also. If you're feeling indulgent, they got you. Plenty of deserts and sweet versions of pancakes and french toast. No hidden fees for large parties.

One of my favorite places to get breakfast, priced are fair and the portions are big and oh do delicious, staff is always friendly with fast service , on the tvs you can normally find lumberjack competitions. Restaurant is clean with a southern feel to it. Never had a bad meal so be sure to try anything on the menu .

Overall 4/5 stars Country fried chicken skillet, eggs and gravy (only the side) order of pancakes and side of sausage links

Nice casual local breakfast/lunch spot. They have a lot of options for both breakfast and lunch. We walked in and were seated right away. The staff throughout the entire time was very friendly and attentive. Pricing and portion sizes were good. 4/5Country fried chicken skillet, eggs and gravy (only the side) could have used more meat but overall good. Potatoes were crispy and eggs cooked well. 4/5 stars order of pancakes and side of sausage links

Drove down to North Vegas to check this place out. There was a ten minute wait but not bad. A lot of seating inside and people everywhere. I ordered the Flapjack Combo with bacon, sausage and hash browns. Flapjacks were big....kinda dry but not bad. Hash browns were good....bacon and sausage were good. There's plenty of desserts options here. If you're in the area check this place out.

The North Las Vegas Location has the dining areas separate from the bar and gaming. The main dining room is a mix of traditional tables and booths. I picked a booth to sit at and it was very uncomfortable with busted springs. That is a shame because most people I saw dining here are very elderly with walkers and wheel chairs. This isn't a wine place. I tried a Bloody Mary. It was extra weak and had an unpleasant taste that turned my stomach. I couldn't drink it. My husband started with a cup of chili. He said that it was unseasoned and it was thick like a sloppy Joe. I tried the fish and chips. I had my choice of potato and picked the sweet potato fries. It was suppose to come with Cole Slaw but the Cole slaw never made it to my plate. I didn't complain about it because I tasted my husband's Cole slaw and didn't need it. The fish and sweet potato fries were prepared nicely but the fish was hard to eat because something wasn't right. It seemed unseasoned and there was something weird about it that I have no idea what it was. The tartar sauce also seemed unseasoned. I tried to fix it but that still didn't help the fish to taste better. I brought a lot home for my dogs. My giant Aussie thought it was very good. She was extra excited to eat it. She loved it. My husband tried the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. I tried a small piece of chicken. It wasn't hot at all and the dominate flavor tasted burnt to me. It also seemed like the wrong chicken because the menu says that you get thighs and this sandwich was made with white meat. This plate came with potato salad and slaw. The potato salad seemed very similar to what Costco sells and the slaw could use something to make it taste better. The server seemed nice and was good handling all the tables and take out orders herself. They give large portions and the food doesn't cost much here so I guess it's very good if you don't care what your food taste like.

We were seated at our table by the hostess. While my husband was temporarily away from the table, a woman came over and attempted to take his chair. I politely explained that my husband was sitting there, but told her she was welcome to take one of the available chairs from the other side of our table. Instead of simply taking another chair, she shoved the chair toward me, made a rude remark, and then told a waiter to get another chair and take it to the table in front of us. About 15 minutes later, the same woman returned and told us that we had to get up and move because our table was supposedly reserved for someone else. At this point, we already had food and drinks on the table. We explained that the hostess had seated us there and that we had absolutely no control over which table the restaurant assigned to us. We were not going to interrupt our meal and move because of an internal seating mistake that had nothing to do with us. Because of the way she spoke to and treated us, I asked who she was and was shocked to learn that she was the manager, Alda Lumowah. A manager should be the person resolving problems and making guests feel welcome--not creating conflict, making rude remarks, shoving a chair toward a customer, and then expecting seated guests with food and drinks to move because of the restaurant's own seating issue. We did nothing wrong. We simply sat at the table where the hostess placed us and expected to enjoy our meal. I have never been treated this rudely in a restaurant, especially by someone in management. The manager's behavior was completely inexcusable and turned what should have been an enjoyable visit into an extremely unpleasant experience. Unfortunately, because of the way we were treated, we will not be returning to Big Dog Brewery.
