We decided on some breakfast, 8/23/26 around 11:30. We got right in and seated. The menu has lots of offerings for all types of meals, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner options. I had the House Combo, scrambled eggs, bacon, and house potato's, with the side of French toast. The food came out super fast, leading one to believe most food is already made. The combo was fine, the potatoes were a bit burnt and some mixed in were not cooked all the way but very little. The French toast was just OK. Even though it was brioche bread, not fluffy but just OK. The misses had the Meat Lovers skillet and French toast too. Her skillet was meats, potatoes, and over easy eggs. Over all a bit salty she said but good. Her French toast too, was meh. We would go again, and try some of the other foods as they have a lot to choose from. I walk in 4pm on a Wednesday. It's empty which is good because I don't want an audience for what I'm about to do. April greets us warmly and offers us drinks. We take her up on her bloody Mary offer. We peruse the menu and lock in on the lumberjack mess (pictured but i skipped the cheese it comes with) my wife got the peach pulled pork with sweet potato fries and we get an order of the double baked potatoes. Drink comes and it reminds me of what I love about diners. There's no bacon or half a chicken or shrimp but it's the backbone of brunch. It's spicy, it's briney and it was made just for us. We drink it with the reverence it deserves. Double baked potato was 16ish bucks and I was skeptical but it's as close to home cooking as I care to get without having to drive to my mom's place and it was 3 whole potatoes and is well worth the price imo. All three of these plates were bigger than my head. As a personal note I appreciate the plating of the biscuts and gravy. As a connisuer of this particular dish I'm always left to "assemble" the "optimal configuration" which is exactly what they did with zero prompting. Biscuit on the bottom, hash browns, eggs and gravy on top stacked to the sky and with love. They said sweet potato fries but they left out that they are sweet potato STEAK FRIES. Ladies and gentlemen we have reached the summit of sweet potato with that move. We ended up taking MOST of this home and got the check for 85 bucks and for 4 peoples worth of food I'd say is well worth the price. Cute place, reminds me of Black Bear, Cracker Barrel type thing. I like that they are featuring peaches is a lot of ways at the moment. We didn't try that today but the peach dishes look really good. We had French dip, kids fish and chips and a California wrap. The wrap is really nice. I will say that I was surprised that it is served warm. I didn't dislike that but I definitely think it would be much better served cold. The consensus on the French dip is that the sandwich was very good but the au jus was bland. The sandwich benefited from some salt but the dip needed something. Our waiter was friendly and did a fine job, he seemed a little frazzled maybe..possibly just one of those days. I will say it ended up being a very pricy lunch for 4 people..one who is a child. For that reason alone I don't know if I will be a regular customer. read more

Lumberjacks is an American Style Casual Restaurant that also serves all day breakfast. They are a small Californian chain with around seven locations in California and so far just one location in North Las Vegas. I did notice that they also offer a children's menu and also a senior's menu. It's woody and rustic inside with two dining areas. They offer a mix of booths and traditional tales. I didn't notice a bar or even bar drinks anywhere but they do have a few beer bottles on the front desk shelf and a few empty wine glasses. I didn't notice alcohol on the menu. We were warmly greeted as we arrived and were asked if we wanted a table or a booth. I picked booth. It was large and had plenty of room to seat more people. Not the most comfortable booth. I might go with table next time. Our server was extra kind and also very cheerful. She took our order and my husband got to start with a cup of soup just after the beverages. He said that the soup of the day (chicken tortilla) was unusually VERY GOOD. I tried the Apple Fuji Salad. What really stood out was how fresh and crisp the soft greens were. I don't think I ever had fresh soft greens so fresh and crisp before anywhere. I also enjoyed the rest of the salad because the chicken was moist, warm, tender, and seasoned nice. The embellishments and also the dressing were very good. My husband enjoyed the Chicken Fried Steak. I should have stopped here but the blackberry cobbler sounded so good that I felt the need to try it. It's very different than what I was expecting. Instead of a cobbler it's more like an enormous muffin that is not too sweet and packed with like a whole pie amount of blackberry filling. (This is enough for four people). The service was over the top and both the host or manager? and our server both made us feel like VIP's and the food was much better than I expected with the current Yelp 3 star star average. We definitely felt like a bunch of Lumberjacks after eating at this restaurant. My husband and I had met up with a couple of our friends for brunch since we were already on this side of town. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, so the hostess sat us down pretty quickly, and our server arrived at a timely manner. When it comes to eating at diners we usually get breakfast fare since it's one of our favorite go-to meals. We ordered a few of their classic breakfast items such as the Chicken Fried Steak, the Lumberjack two egg classics, and some french toast. Our food took quite sometime to arrive, but it came piping hot and it smelled absolutely delicious. Our server recommended trying their homemade biscuits but I felt it was just mid in flavor. It was kind of hard and not really memorable. The classic breakfast meals were good but it lacked seasoning. On the other hand, my husband absolutely loved his breakfast. He said the Chicken Fried Steak was one of the best he's had in a long time. It was cooked to perfection, with fluffy eggs, and delicious gravy. My wife and I have went here a few times and for the most part have been satisfied with our meals. It definitely seems to mimic the Black Bear Diner aestetic in which I'm not a huge fan of that particular franchise but....that would be another review of its own. In the occasions we've been there, we've had dinner a few times and breakfast. I suspect they are more known for their breakfasts. I've had their Big Jack's Skillet. I've found it to be flavorful, somewhat ample, and cooked right to enjoy. The only thing I thought was odd was....who serves 1 slice of toast cut in half as opposed to 2 slices?? This is the first place I've come to in my whole life that did this. Especially when the motto is you get lumberjack portions when you eat here....in some cases it may be true.....others, it seems portions are served on bigger plates. Wife and I have had their fish and chips a couple times and NY steak (my apologies, not pictured). Both have been hit or miss. Apparently, depends on who's cooking in the back. One instance I had to return a plate of fish and chips due to food being a little undercooked and then was told that was from the head cook. Holy moly.... I mean, all in all, not a bad spot. Places have their on and off days. Hopefully, more on than off. I did find that their service is really good and they are absolutely attentive. The price point is really reasonable, too. The service at Lumberjacks was amazing (per usual). My reason for only giving three stars is for the food. I've come to Lumberjacks many times in the past because they were the only place to do home fries correctly. Their potatoes had a bell pepper and onion mix which made it (in my opinion) a true home fries. Today I was served red skinned potatoes with no pepper and onion mixture but also no seasoning. My server told me that many people complained about the vegetables and seasoning level in the past so Lumberjacks removed them both from the potatoes. This was very disappointing because my potatoes were not only bland but burned (as you can see in the photo). I may come back and try some other menu items but sadly it won't be the potatoes. read more

As far as ambience goes, it gives off low budget diner, that needs to be renovated. Now the servers were definitely friendly and provided lots of suggestions as far as the menu. Onto the food... I personally had the Southwest skillet and it was average, more potatoes than anything else. The guacamole tasted a little water down as if they added some sort of salsa to it and everything needed more seasoning. My family and I decided to enjoy and nice quiet evening here on a Thursday around 6pm. We had 10 in our group. It was very slow,therefore we were greeted easily and taken care of with no major issue. The only reason I gave 4 star is due to the lack of seating for a larger group and the mix up of how we wanted our burgers cooked. There were two main tables in the middle of the restaurant, we would have liked to sit face to face at the same table. Understanding that not all restaurants are available to do so. However we made it work! The service was very caring, and really quick. We ordered,and I don't even think it took 15 min for all 10 of us to receive our food. Half the table got western burgers, which were amazing . And other half got breakfast foods. Aside from some of us receiving the wrong temperature of burger this food was satisfying. Infact I quoted I'll take this over dennys and ihop any-day. Pancakes were huge, bigger than my face! Fries and potatoes are cooked/seasoned well. Some of the employees were even curious to ask about our family. And I enjoy when people actually express themselves or are curious enough to ask questions! First and last time. The two stars is for cleanliness and the service with a smile. The food tasted like tv dinners. My fish was over cooked and my wife found a hair in her pot roast and she said that the gravy wasn't good and the vegetables weren't cooked well. The server apologized profusely and we paid our full bill with a smile. (It happens) I still would not recommend this place. It does explain why there were so few cars there at supper time.
