The ramen boiled egg is cooked to perfection with a nice soft yoke, and you can tell it's been marinated for at least a few hours if not overnight in soy sauce. First off, the food came out fast (a win when you're starving), and the service was genuinely excellent. Attentive without hovering, friendly without forcing small talk. The place is cute and has plenty of seating. They also do take out! I ordered the Hawaiian poke bowl and WOW. The portion was huge (like "why did I think I could finish this?" huge), the price was super affordable, and the spice + flavor combo hit every craving I didn't even know I had. Balanced, bold, and just the right amount of heat. We also tried two rolls, plus the calamari and edamame, and everything across the board was solid. Fresh, well-made, and clearly cared for. To drink, I had the popping boba passionfruit tea and it was full of flavor without being overly sweet. Refreshing and fun, not syrupy. Overall: great food, generous portions, fair prices, and excellent service. I'll definitely be back and probably ordering the poke bowl again because... why mess with perfection?

We recently visited Sakuratani in Bristol for the first time and came away very impressed. This…read morefamily-run restaurant has only been open about a year, but it already feels like an established part of the local dining scene. A nice space. We began with spring rolls (VERY good - chicken and shrimp) and sake, and the sake program deserves special mention. We selected a very enjoyable $38 bottle and noticed several other bottles at lower price points, along with a wide selection of canned sake--many around $11. Some diners may balk at paying that much for a can, but they will happily pay more for a mediocre glass of wine at half the volume. The value here is actually quite good, especially for those looking to explore sake beyond the ordinary. Our entrées--the ramen and chicken katsu--were excellent. The ramen featured a rich, deeply satisfying broth, while the chicken katsu was perfectly crisp on the outside and tender within. If you want a "hotter " ramen - the have an add on for a buck. Service was warm and attentive, reflecting the pride that often comes with a family-owned business. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, allowing the quality of the food to take center stage. Bristol is fortunate to have Sakuratani. Strong Japanese dining options can be hard to find outside larger cities, and for a restaurant only a year old, they seem to be doing many things right. We look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu--and their sake offerings. Highly recommended.

Always try to stop by if I'm in Bristol or passing through. Worth a stop if you like ramen noodles, though my favorite is the tonkotsu or the miso pork ramen. Haven't tried any of the other dishes or appetizers but hopefully the next time. Service is good and nice calming atmosphere.

Ambiance is so cute and quaint. Soft soothing music playing in the background. Cozy and inviting. Food was outstanding! Every appetizer had my tastebuds craving for the next one. The blackberry sorbet was the perfect palette cleanser. On to the main course. The scallops were cooked to perfection, juicy and succulent. But the chicken katsu was the real star of the night. Perfectly crispy outside served on top of a bed of curry rice pilaf. Hands down the best dish I've ever had in this city. Tried to savor every bite. As if that wasn't enough, the experience ended with a decadent chocolate bomb. Chocolate truffle filled with rich ganache and served with a side of coffee caramel ice cream. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and delightful omakase experience.

I visited Mori Sushi last week, and was shocked I had not heard of them sooner. We ordered several rolls: the Volcano Roll, the Mori Roll, the Crunch Roll, the Dynamite Roll, the Hawaii Roll, and the Godzilla roll. I loved each and every roll, but the stand out's were the Godzilla roll and the Volcano roll. Both very unique and must-gets. All of the fish we had was so fresh and I was super impressed. The prices are on the higher side, but reasonable for what you are getting. The actual restaurant is in a small plaza next to a grocery store. The inside is nice, nothing super special, but it doesnt need to be with sushi like that! I will be visiting again, soon!
