We were visiting the area for holiday and stopped for a quick lunch, certainly did not expect middle eastern food there and it caught us by surprise! Their kabobs were so flavorful and tasty, super quick service. And the place was clean.

3.5: Decent takeout food in a no frills environment We arrived on a Monday evening 2 hours before their normal hour of closing to be told that they were only doing takeout. There were a few customers already sitting and eating so at first was taken aback but upon further probing they said they were closing an hour early. We enjoyed the food generally (chicken shawarma pita, vegetarian platter though the beef kebab was a bit dry and chewy) and it survived the trip back home well. The pita bread was wrapped in a plastic that showed where it was purchased; it was good but not homemade on premises. They sell other various pita wraps and platters, around $13 and $25 respectively. They also have some ethnic drinks and Dubai chocolate off to the side. Takeout was probably a good option as the actual ambiance was dated and not that comfortable... not a place to linger. They have a parking lot.

Here is what we tried .

Was really good , was quiet and had a very good taste service was good. We will be back.

Dubai Chocolate Bar--a legit treat. I took 2 bars home with me--no regrets.

Spectacular. First run, I did the lamb gyro platter. Every item was delicious: the shawarma, the rice, the wam pita, mediterranean salad and the yellow rice. Their tzatziki was perfect. I think their secret is adding fine diced cucumber and mint really elevates the sauce. My wife had the sandwich version and devoured it. Service was friendly and fast. I visit Joshua Tree frequently, this place is on my must revisit list. Eat here.

Found this place when searching for vegetarian food when visiting Joshua. This was the only Mediterranean joint we could find and it had good reviews. The place was quiet with enough seating. We were a group of 8 and could find a table immediately for lunch. There were all the usual menu options, nothing that was out of ordinary. Most of us ordered the falafel sandwich. Order came in fast. Falafels were fresh and the size of sandwich was good as well.

Stopped in to Yucca Kabob for a late lunch. While this restaurant is not much to look at from the outside, the flavors are incredible and worth a stop. We were the only ones in the restaurant at first but that changed quickly after we ordered. We ordered the grape leaves appetizer, I had the Kofta Kabob wrap, and my fiancé had the beef kabob entree. Amazing grape leaves! We could have eaten another round of them. My wrap was delicious and very filling. The Beef Kabob entree was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the rice was out of this world. We should have eaten here for every meal during our trip!

The food was amazing! So glad we stopped in. Can't wait to come back! It was the perfect post hike meal. I also got the lemon mint drink and it was so refreshing. The pita was also warm and delicious! All of us finished everything on the plate!

Grateful to have this restaurant in the area! Great option given the many restaurants with burgers and fries in the vicinity. The portions are huge! I got the vegetarian entree which consisted of falafels, rice, hummus, salad, grape leaves, and pita bread. Also got the lemon lentil soup which was delicious as well. Service was courteous and quick. Easy parking in a lot.

Stopped by here on our first night in Joshua Tree and was pleasantly surprised! We are big Mediterranean food fans and thoroughly enjoyed our $49 meal for 2! For the price, the portions are large and enough for seconds. The service is a bit slow but the staff are really nice. It is pretty humid inside the restaurant and seemed like take out was very popular. We really liked the rice and all the kabobs. Would recommend if you're looking for food that tastes home cooked and authentic!

Chicken shawarma was the best. This was my boyfriend's favorite spot around the area. Plates were also good. We personally think the chicken was better than the steak. Service was great. Lots of parking. Wasn't any AC, or I just didn't feel it.

Got an order of chicken shawarma plate and fries and brought it to picnic in Joshua tree - so good! Fries are well seasoned, the plate had lots of flavor and well balanced for all the food groups. The only caveat is the chicken was a little dry but the sauce made up for it. Absolutely would come here again if in the area.

Literally the BEST middle eastern food out there. Unexpectedly amazing. I came with a group on ladies, we ordered the baba ganoush, egg omelette, fries, feta toast and wrap and OMG everything is delicious. Highly highly recommend coming here for your dinner. Parking is easy lot parking, bathrooms are available. Servers are nice. Food is excellent.

The food here is soooo incredibly good. We wanted some fuel food for Joshua tree and this is such a great healthy option. The service was great and parking was easy. It wasn't too busy. You can order take out or sit down and eat. The chicken shawarma was delicious and the gyro. Hummus and chicken and salad had so Much flavor. Definitely coming back here!

Upon entering we were immediately greeted by a nice man that I am assuming is the owner that other Yelp reviews have raved about. He helped us quickly at their food counter at the back (did I mention they are also a specialty foods market?) and we ordered two meals and an appetizer. We grabbed drinks from the cooler and sat at the table in the front. Our grape leaves came out first. Accompanied by chopped lettuce garnish and sliced tomatoes and oranges, they were tasty and delicious! Our food came out and we dug in to a gyro plate and a beef shawarma plate. Both came with a salad, pita and a choice of dip (we chose hummus). The portions were generous, the seasoning was mouth watering, and the presentation gorgeous! We could have easily also shared a plate, but we will always want more than one thing so it just means more chances to try new dishes! Their prices are very reasonable for extremely high quality fresh healthy food! We will be back for sure, and I also notice they deliver through DoorDash and Grub Hub. We loved Persian food so much when we lived in Los Angeles, so it was a special treat to find Saffron in Coachella Valley where it is unique. Our appetizers were the beautiful watermelon tower with feta and arugula, and the three dip sampler of hummus, eggplant dip and masto kheyar made of yogurt. Flatbread served with the dips is out of this world delicious! I had been dreaming about these foods after seeing them on Instagram. We loved the zereshk polo chicken with bayberries over perfect saffron rice, fessenjoon with pomegranates, chicken and walnuts, and a lamb shank which was seasoned so beautifully. There was no possibility of dessert as we had such a great time dining on these gems. I love that the seating is well spaced, and you're not on top of other people and their conversations. During happy hour, there were some people singing at the piano, which finished at about 6 PM. The noise level became a little quieter at that time for conversation over dinner. The decor of the space and the kindness and efficiency of the stuff were very much appreciated. Five stars and bravo for an amazing dining experience. We very much look forward to coming back soon.
