A must stop for Joshua Tree National Park. Wow what a nice surprise. I was not expecting the food to be this good. The lentil soup was a bit watery. The salads were really good, dressing was tasty and had just the right amount of dressing. The humus was a bit too lemony for me. The Baba ghanoush was excellent, smoked perfectly. The grilled meats were exceptionally tender and marinade to perfection. Loved every bite. Service was quick but don't expect a fancy dining room. It's very basic. We stopped at Yucca Kebab for an early dinner after a full day exploring Joshua Tree, and it was exactly what we needed. This is the most legit Jordanian food I have had in a long time, and so surprised to find it in Yucca Valley. I've eaten a lot of Mediterranean food all over Orange County, but this is the best hummus I can remember eating. Absolutely delicious. My BF raved over the chicken kabob, the way it was seasoned and grilled. The beef kabob was just as good, tender and juicy. Stopped for lunch one afternoon while I was in the area. A small eatery with a basic traditional interior. Friendly kind service, I was greeted within a minute of walking in and seated shortly after. After going over the menu, I opted for hummus to start with a traditional green tea. Food was freshly made to order. The Hummus was very good, with warm pita, a delicious dish by itself. Robust flavor and rich, fresh herbs and olive oil, I thoroughly enjoyed this dish. The green tea was light, but good. I ordered a bowl of Lentil soup after my start and it was a hearty serving and a nice tangy, flavorful bowl that was filling and good. I saw Baklava on the dessert page and had to get a piece to finish with my tea. Once again, the food is absolutely, consistently hot, fresh and delicious! This time we took the food for takeout and found it absolutely as good as sit in service. We both had the chicken kabob and found as much food served as they do in house; so many restaurants charge same price, but give less food, but not this place....5-STARS all the way Oh, BTW, the humas is probably the best I've ever had, and I've had many styles. We came here on both a Thursday and Friday night. On Thursday we came around 5:30pm and the food was a 45-min wait. Unfortunately we were tired and hungry so we opted for something else. On Friday, we really wanted to try it so we waited 30 mins for a table and 45 mins for the food. Per the BF, "it was worth the wait". The hummus was fresh, and the kofta kebob that we got were flavorful and juicy. Service can be slower than what you anticipate so definitely review the menu beforehand so you know what you want. It looks like it's understaffed with three staff: one cashier, one person bringing the food and the third person placing orders and cleaning the table. Would we come back if we are in the area? Must try: Kabob Entree Plate, Greek Salad, and Tzatziki! Why: Started with Greek Salad and Tzatziki, both of which were refreshing. Ordered extra pita bread to dip in tzatziki sauce. Finished with Beef Kabob, which was a huge platter filled with rice, hummus, salad, and pita bread. I thought the beef was juicy and tender with slightly crispy tips. Loved the rice and even added some tzatziki sauce on top with some beef! Since we shared Greek Salad and Tzatziki in beginning, I couldn't eat much of the plate salad or hummus. Washed it all down with their Lemon Mint drink, which was strong and refreshing citrusy minty flavors. I was only able to finish half the cup. The only Mediterranean spot in the area. Don't get the beef. The beef taste like it has been sitting there for 50 business days and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. This place is so damn good. The rice is fantastic and so is everything else. Try the beef kafta and the chicken shawarma. Plates are gonna fill you up , so would a wrap. Seriously good Mediterranean food out here in the desert. Might even be the best I've ever had. The staff was great too. They were handling a 14 top and still helped everyone. Absolute gem of a restaurant in the Morongo Basin! Wonderful staff, superb food. I recently ordered grape leaves and hummus for a family Christmas gathering. I also ordered baklava, but it wasn't ready at the time so we substituted for a gift box, which was also excellent. The theme of our party was snacks from around the world. We sat in the booth seats which were very comfy! My order was a chicken shawarma wrap which came with hummus and house salad (you could substitute it with Greek salad as well). Personally, I felt like the shawarma bread was quite dry, but the garlic sauce and hummus helped it out. The shawarma chicken was flavorful and filling! It was still very yummy the next day. I also loved how they served us warmed up pita bread after noticing ours was cooled down. I'll keep coming to support this local spot!

Julian is an amazing chef with a great staff to help him run the show. They do private events, but there pita and butter is Villagefest every week in Downtown Palm Springs. We even came back the next day just for the horchata. If anything, at least get that.

First the food is ok not the best. As I was eating the chicken swarma there was a mosquito in the rice and made its way to the chicken. We asked for a recommendation for appetizer and asked to surprise us and we were surprised with yogurt with cucumbers. The woman at the counter, whose name I didn't get but who had pink and white striped hair, refused to serve my boyfriend even though the website said the cafe was open, the door sign said the cafe was open, and people were in the cafe itself eating and drinking coffee at a few of the tables. She said the cafe was closed because she was too busy, even though there were only a few people around. When I asked if it was possible to get coffee, she said alright but we should order the drip coffee because she wasn't very good at making anything else. While we sat and drank our coffees, a group of about six women came up and she let them order food and coffee for the group. A man was next in line and she told him the same thing she told my boyfriend: that she was busy and the cafe was closed. This pattern continued. She served women in groups of any size, but men who asked were told that the cafe was closed. This is unacceptable and I will not be returning, however nice the setting.

Believing that I was ordering "incredibly bland", asking for my mixed vegetables only with "garlic and ginger"...they offered "salt". I asked for no salt as well. It was not busy and the kitchen agreed... My meal was FABULOUS...the produce used was fresh and flavorful, and the meal was incredibly NOT salty...so I could taste the robust flavors. My wife, not vegetarian also ordered mixed vegetables...normal...and added shrimp...and her verdict was the shrimp tasted as fresh as any quality shrimp she has had in CA. Hint: their levels of "spicy hot" may exceed your levels of comfort...order and amend to taste. We are delighted that we do not need to drive to Palm Springs for Thai...less than 2 miles from us.

When I picked up the food, I noticed the beef larb was made with ground beef rather than sliced beef, which is what we normally expect. I even looked over the food at pickup, and your staff member kindly asked if everything was okay. Unfortunately, after eating the food at our Airbnb, we noticed a strong and unpleasant aftertaste. We didn't want to waste the food, so we ate it anyway--but both my husband and I became sick the next day. My husband had significant stomach issues, and we both experienced diarrhea throughout the day. It was especially upsetting as this happened during our vacation and impacted our plans. I wanted to bring this to your attention because this was not just a matter of taste, but of food safety and quality. We were very disappointed by the experience and hope you take this feedback seriously.
