I enjoy coming to this location when I'm near by. The staff are always friendly especially the lady working in the afternoons, Iliana. She always makes my hot, turkey, avocado bagel sandwiches just perfect. I never wait too long even when it's busy. She is very friendly and even makes my son feel comfortable when ordering. This location is always clean and fully stock with napkins, coffee cup lids, 3 different creamers and coffee stirrers. It's always a hit or miss at other locations so I appreciate how attentive they are to what's needed at this store. They play soft music so it's not overwhelming while you sit inside to eat your donut, coffee etc. The tables, chairs and floors are always clean and that's what attracts me to come back. There is plenty of parking right outside but it doesn't tend to get busy at certain times so you may not park as close. read more

Came in today to Yum Yum Donuts late at night -- love that they're open 24 hours. I highly recommend this spot for this area. They make their donuts fresh, and they're seriously so good. One thing I just noticed (and had to stop in for) -- they've got large variety of mini donuts, and donut holes! Those are my favorite. You can grab a few without feeling guilty about eating a whole donut. Prices were great too :) I got two mini donuts and a coffee for $4.50. You really can't beat that deal. Definitely coming back for the coffee and, every now and then, those mini donuts or donut holes I highly recommend The person who helped me out with extra friendly and super cool also too he was making fresh donuts. He was so polite and had absolutely impeccable Customer Service my first time here with my son and I getting his donuts for senior sunrise and donuts look fresh and are amazing and the Customer Service is just as equally amazing. I would recommend everybody come when you come ask for Ivan you will get the best customer service and he even added through a few extras very very gracious young man. I highly recommend this place. My family and I will be coming. They are 24 hours. Wow and we have our late night cravings or just to be spontaneous. We will be heading to this donut shop. It is off of telegraph. There was nothing yum yum about this donut shop. Sadly although they had a nice selection of different donuts even late at night and that they are open 24/7, the donuts were pretty awful and overpriced at $2 per donut and 50 cents per donut hole. We got several donuts and they were all stale, tasted like old oil, and the chocolate was black not brown? The 2 stars was for the great customer service from the young gentlemen working who was kind and helpful but given all the donut places around, we will not be back. read more

On Sunday, November 2, 2025, I received a frantic call from my wife. Her crew ran out of donuts for our church fundraiser. I went to Tum Yum Donuts on Telegraph Canyon Rd., just off the I-805. I normally come here at least 1 time a week with family. The workers are typically hard working and professional. Unfortunately recently I had a bad experience with the customer service. I had my 8 year old boy with me when a yum yum staff member was unprofessional, and hostile. I am very disappointed to witness such negative comments from an employee who works at a location where I have been a loyal customer for several years. Seriously, this place needs to be investigated. Every tome I walk again, everyone greets me in a genuine manner. Always amazing customer service!! But they're always out of donuts. I notice this happens in the mornings and late at nights. Bummer in the morning when you're coming in for a dozen just like everyone else. I'd almost say they're probably some of the best donuts in town. Why 3 stars then? They're very inconsistent on how much donuts they have in stock. If you plan on stopping by at night, you might want to try calling first to see if they even have anymore donuts. I completely understand how stores can run out of items, but the frustrating part is that there's always racks full of donuts behind the corner that they refuse to put out on display. Stopped by once around 11pm for last minute donuts for the next day... and they didn't even have one single donut. The gal behind the counter said they'll have more at midnight. The Yelp reviews were slightly negative so we almost skipped this place but sometimes when you're hungry, cranky and over tired you just say whatever just go there. As we got closer we saw dough rising and that inside it had a real bakery vibe so we went in. The service at the counter was really friendly and helpful. We ordered two bagel sandwiches and a half dozen donuts. And a coffee. Coffee was very good as were the sandwiches which looked like real scrambled eggs. As a New Englander I usually have NY style bagels that are very chewy. These were less chewy but the softer bagel made an easier to eat sandwich. None of the donuts were stale. My husband got his favorite, French cruller, and he said it was great. I tried a bite of Boston cream donut and a bite of regular cruller or log style with just glaze on it and it was good. There was a bit of a heavier grease taste than a Dunkin cruller but pretty good. And the price tag for everything was less than $25. Only down here on vacation but would highly recommend. Definitely my favorite Chula Vista Donut spot in the South Bay. My favorite donut is the twirl with pink and red flavor. They make their donuts fresh and always busy still manage to get me in and out fast . Their service is always excellent when I walk in and say good morning they are always in a good mood. Found this little hole in the wall doughnut shop while in a shopping center. I was in the mood for something sweet and unhealthy so I saw this business open (LOL). Of course parking was easy since in a shopping center and they had a line and entrance and exit route that was approved by California regulations. Once inside there was so much to choose from. My inner fat boy got excited and the anticipation was high! I couldn't wait to speed walk to my car and scarf these doughnuts down my gullet! The employee didn't seem to happy and the mood wasn't too welcoming but he was the only employee up front so I guess that was the reason. Once I was up I ordered a cream doughnut, raspberry filled doughnut, and a doughnut with sprinkles! I then payed and shimmied down to my car and unleashed the dragon and devoured those little pastry treats! I then felt ashamed of myself and cried driving home! Came for coffee and some doughnuts. While enjoying my cinnamon coffee, at the last sips, i encountered a slimy substance. When I poured it out it was slime from the coffee and possibly cinnamon or what ever they add. It was so gross. Seems like they don't clean their coffee makers.
