I have been here many times, my son loves donuts. I don't ever get anything here but coffee, but it has always been good. Until today the service has always been good. This afternoon I brought my 6 year old, disabled child here. He was in immediate need of the bathroom, he said it was locked, I went to ask for the key and right away, before I could ask, a rude man informed me the bathroom was for employees only. I asked him very nicely, telling him that my disabled son had an urgent need, he just sneered and walked away. We have been coming here for years, I am pretty sure they always had public bathrooms before, and sure, a lot of places in this neighborhood do this because of the homeless people in the area. I've given this place too many chances to redeem itself but I give up. This place isn't worth it. I've gone here because, like so many others, I crave donuts in the wee hours of the morning on late late nights. The first night I went here, I thought they were closed because the door was locked and half the stores lights were off. However if you peer persistently enough through the windows, a surly man will stomp up to a side window on the shop and you can stoop and place your order there. He was short in words and tapped his foot impatiently while we were deciding. Because, you know, there's a line behind us and there's a ton of things he could be doing at work besides his job. It was difficult to see our options through the little window that also had advertisements posted up on it in the dim light of the back half of the store. The second night was much like the first. The man was curt and didn't respond to our thanks again, but this time he was also out of maple bars. Tonight was probably the worst as we couldn't even purchase donuts at all. The open sign was on but the doors were locked and the window shut. Our thought was that maybe he was in the restroom but after 15 minutes, he never surfaced. We tried calling but the line was off the hook. I know this is just a run-down Yum Yum Donuts, but at least give us a chance to buy your mediocre donuts! read more

This location is incredibly convenient for me to grab a quick bite for breakfast. I usually get a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese sandwich on an Everything Bagel; it is far more substantial than anything Starbucks has to offer and at half the price. This was the main reason for me switching over to Yum Yum. The coffee is the equivalent of using the latte machine at a 7-11, which is to say that it's palatable, but ultimately a weak brew. The doughnuts are always fresh and tasty. The service is a little lack luster, but I've never felt like the employees were rude or dismissive. Sometimes it takes longer than necessary to receive my order and there always seems to be a bit of a confusion as to which bag belongs to which guest; Communication between employees doesn't seem to be a priority. Ultimately, it doesn't really effect my order. Just an observation. While it is not the fault of the business, the parking lot is abhorrent. It is tiny, has terrible angles, and has a HUGE potential for parking lot disasters. BE CAUTIOUS OF PARKING LOT COLLISIONS AND PEDESTRIANS WALKING WHEREVER THEY FEEL LIKE DESPITE THERE BEING A SIDEWALK. They seriously don't pay any attention and will walk behind your car in the middle of backing up so be extra alert for idiot pedestrians. Also keep a keen lookout for surrounding cars attempting to back out of the cramped stalls because, sadly, it is ridiculously easy to smash into each other. It's open 24 hours, which is great. I, however, have never attempted to go at night and I keep seeing a lot of angry reviews regarding the night service so perhaps it is best to avoid it during this time. read more

Great selection - it's amazing how many varieties they have! Not sure why some are saying the staff is rude - they've always been ok to me. It's a donut shop, afterall, not the Ritz Carlton! Donuts have always been fresh when I've gotten them. My favorite is the blueberry. I also like anything frosted. They decorate the donuts really cute too. Coffee is not so good though, but that's the only downside. I've found the opposite at Dunkin - the coffee is awesome but the donuts suck! 11:45pm....donut crave hits and it hits hard -- that's what she said :) Anywho, we got a late night hankering for some donut holes, did a quick search and found this Yum Yum Donuts was open 24/7 so we ran over. The selection was plentiful and the guy working the window (their inside seating area was closed since it was late) was super nice even though we were being a tad indecisive. Plus, the donuts tasted fresh and delicious even though it was late at night. Double plus, we got 3 dozen donut holes plus about 6 regular donuts (I promise some were for the next day...don't judge) and it came out to less than $8....Yum!!! read more

I've been to this place on three separate occasions and was disappointed a little more each time. My first visit was late at night when I was looking for an iced coffee. I had to place my order through a little side window where I could barely see the menu and had to scream my order because the man inside could not hear me. When I finally got my coffee it was pretty terrible to be honest. I did not finish it. My second visit was for some donuts, which I assumed would be at least decent because this is in fact a 'yum yum' donut shop. Boy was I wrong. The flavor was off and they tasted kinda raw. I'm always coming in here to pick up a couple dozen doughnuts for department meetings. The doughnuts are always so fresh and HUGE! I mainly just after mid day. Usually they're fully stocked but every once in a while maybe they'll be out of a cinnamon crumb doughnut or maple bars. If you want a nice puffy, fresh, huge doughnut for a reasonable price, definitely come here. The workers are always very sweet. Tips are well deserved here. read more

In a city with gourmet doughnuts all over the place and options popping up every few weeks, you have to carve your niche in the world... Maybe do more themed doughnuts? Since I've only had one donut from this place I can only give it 3-stars right now because I wasn't totally blown away by my one donut, but it was a solid French cruller with chocolate frosting. It was one of the last two they had so I imagine it also wasn't the freshest, but it satisfied my Cruller Craving (TM) (C) and service was friendly. I love this place! Always has such fresh donuts and their sandwiches are to die for, but there is this particular employee that is always so rude!! Her customer service is horrible!! If I ask her for a croissant with ham and cheese which usually goes toasted in the little machine she literally put it in the microwave and said it was toasted -_- and my sons sandwich was cold! That is not how the other employee do it. Note I come in with a smile ask her about her day and her face just says it all. I place a phone order here at least once a week. Service is great. Food is excellent. The smell of sugary sweetness when you walk in makes your mouth water. There are a wide varieties of donuts, breakfast items, and a lunch menu. I try something new each week and I'm never disappointed. I'm sad about an order of 4 dozen donuts I purchased last week. I went a little after 3a as I was headed to work, thinking the donuts would be amazingly fresh. Once I got them to work I was surprised at the quality. The donuts were definitely old. So it was a lot of trial and error and wasted food that day. Good donuts. Rude and impatient staff. I came in on a Saturday morning, after the "typical" rush. I had my 6 year old daughter with me and was disappointed with the coldness of the person helping us. She seemed annoyed at our indecisiveness. The shops is really clean and well stocked in the morning, and I ordered a blueberry donut. However, I should have assumed by the "new" sign that they were still trying out the recipe. Twice in a row, purchased 3 sets of donuts (1 for work); 2 for family with multiple donuts in all three. All three were dry. I was in the mood for a good donut the first time and so disappointed to bite into a glazed chocolate donut to find the donut itself tasted three days old (dry and hard) and the chocolate icing fell off like plate tectonics on my lap. I ate half an apple fritter from the box I purchased from work and the fritter was hard and dry. Third time two weeks later, my daughter and I were at Mobilcom next door waiting for our cell phone to be repaired and walked over to Yum Yum. We bought an assortment of donuts and ate them in the car on the way home. The fritter was dry.
